You prolly dont care but if you are bored like me during the covid times you can stream all of the new series on instaflixxer. Have been watching with my brother for the last couple of months xD
I also experienced the same kind of low moods while travelling solo. Seeing so many amazing things and not having people to share the moment with. Be kind to yourself. Take the breaks. Enjoy the sunsets.
Paddy I to travelled Thailand however with my wife. We felt very alone and isolated on Koh Lanta. Everywhere else was fine. Onwards and upwards mate. All the best and chin up!
Paddy, I just moved to rural S. Korea by myself to teach and travel. This weekend I meet up with three other teachers who also moved here in February. We all talked about being lonely, down, and missing having a community despite having this amazing opportunity to live in another country. Traveling on top of making a major life change during COVID is not easy. Thank you, as always, for being real! Can't wait to see where you go next!
Stop doubting yourself, friend. You are creating great content. We look forward to your videos, and all of us who have done video editing are in awe of your work rate and consistently high quality!
Paddy, I'm here on Koh Lanta in early January 2023. The roads are still rough, but the foreign visitors are back in real numbers and the island has come to life again. Restaurants and hotels are busy. People are booking tours. So much of the closed places in your video are open again. It's got all the things you appreciated from your earlier stay ~and~ the joy of being alive stuff too. Stop by again when you get a chance. You'll be pleased. Cheers.
It's completely normal to get these feeling Paddy. Like you said mother natures beauty (sunsets) resets everyone and makes them feel a purpose. It think it's really important to show everything and you do that amazingly. The ups and the downs. We are all human at the end of the day. Looks beautiful as always. God I miss Thailand sooo much!! 💙
I am with you Little Brother. Your ability to be open and completely transparent in your thoughts and experiences is what keeps me coming back to your channel and this incredible journey you (we) are on. You have a real talent and gift and I am very happy to be part of this as a couch participant. Onward!
We want the whole package. The ups downs and the inbetweens! Love seeing you journey through Thailand whatever the weather and whatever the mood. Travel safe.
The ups and downs is part of traveling, feeling lonely time to time, and so on. But everytime you have a downfall and then rise again. It makes you stronger and you are going to have less of this feelings in the future. The old saying. "What dosen´t kill you makes you stronger" Keep Safe 🤩
Travelling is like a relationship - The start is the honeymoon phase… you're in love with everything as it's all bright shiny and new, you may notice a few things that you dislike but you keep going because you want the relationship to work. Then you start to hit the bumps in the road (literally in your case lol) and things get frustrating, thighs change that are out of your control and nothing goes the way you hope and you lose motivation BUT it's just a phase my man - You're on an epic journey and we are super grateful for your honest opinions and views and we are happy to tag along with you! I left Thailand in December 2019 and I’m dying to get back out there once everything settles down…. your channel is keeping my wanderlust alive… like many others I’m sure!! Keep Going Paddy it’s gonna get better and better!!!!
Traveling isn’t fun and exciting all the time. It can be lonely. Please continue to share all of your adventures…the ups and the downs. It’s real and it’s refreshing to see.
Its okay that you drained and not motivated sometimes. We dont expect all the videos to be full of interesting contents and exciting. Because not everyone can do what you do. So, thank you Paddy for taking us along your journey even you dont even have to. We are looking forward to your videos and we are rooting for you to the end!
I went there alone and was lucky to meet a few people to chill and explore a bit with. Thailand is beautiful and has a nice feel to it, well it did in koh lanta anyways.
Lanta island is a place to cut off from a city life. You go there to relax, reflect and recharge. With the covid travel restriction in Thailand you will be the only person! It's one in a lifetime opportunity!! Cheer up!
Normally a 30 minute video I skip through, but yours Paddy keep me interested no matter what happens. I love that you are "real" and let your emotions and feelings be real rather than just showing just the happy parts. I can relate to so much as I've travelled alone a lot in America, I am lucky to have my Thai wife for Thailand adventures when we get back there next month and can travel some day, as I'm not sure I could do that alone at my age now.
As im Thai and leaving in USA my husband and I love the way you present Thailand, we love all your journey video since you start . Keep your journey exciting 🙂 good work.
I was there on Ko Lanta 4 years ago (2018) and the roads were all fine. No potholes or dirt on them. I was there high season and even then it's quiet. In a good way. It's turned out to be one of my favorite places in the country. A highlight there would be taking a boat over to small islands nearby, like Ko Muk (which has the Emerald Cave), Ko Ngai and Ko Kradan. Very small islands.
I love that this is personal. So many of us have a dream like this and want to know the reality. Even though this looks like a lot of Ups and downs, I am still motivated to do my own some point sooner than later. Keep your chin up!
OMG! @PaddyDoyle going back in time. I miss the lower production, the level of communication, and the raw delivery. Your current work is awesome, but your "old" Covid era stuff has its own charm. I'm visiting Kho Lanta in January. I'm not sure much of this is relevant, but it was fun to go back.
Oh Paddy, you seem a little sad. Sending hugs, we are living through you. We can not travel out of Australia. We can't wait til we can. Until that day please live for us. We really appreciate it. We love your vlogs xxx
Hey Paddy... another great video. I've been in Thailand for 30 years but I've not seen the majority of places you've been to. Please keep doing what you're doing as you're showing how the reality of of daily life in the places you visit. Appreciate things are not always perfect when travelling but you are sharing your amazing journey without a filter and this creates an engaging story. Enjoy yourself and we'll keep following you and Dreamy! Please continue to stay safe as well!
I travel a lot on my own and I know how you feel. My experience is that, after the initial excitement and energy, there is always this odd moment when you're drained out; but after that you find your personal travelling "rhythm". Just listen to your gut feeling and don't push yourself.
Thank you paddy that you are honest with us and show us the real life of a content creator on RUclips. It’s not easy and beautiful every day, love the series for that. Hope you have a safe journey to Krabi
Hang in there mate. Please keep sharing the personal journey. You are the reason we all keep watching. This is a normal phase while traveling solo. It is can be hard to experience so much without sharing the moment with someone else. I think long weekend break with Thys would help rejuvenate your spirit. Keep up the good work.
Paddy, we are currently loving your trip through Vietnam and after tonight's episode, we let it randomly run and ended up in Koh Lanta with you. I totally understood what you said about just feeling a bad energy in a place without being able to justify why and contrary to your concerns, it did not feel like a negative show, just authentic. We appreciate your honesty always and a negative experience from you would not prevent us from visiting a place, it would just help us manage our expectations. BTW, absolutely loving your solo work. We really enjoyed the Budgeteers when you were 3, but not loving it as 2 (they are still enjoyable). Keep making us jealous!
Hey, Emil here... Loved having you with us bro! so few people in this world with your level of energy and enthusiasm. You were certainly a breath of fresh air for us. I loved the video and loved the things you had to say about our area, can definitely understand why Koh Lanta might be a bit subpar atm but perhaps next time. (and don't forget our drunken may Thai fight on phi-hi once this mess I over) :D
I don't think I'd want it any other way but to see the highlights and sometimes low lights of traveling and it's always nice to see a person at there best and sometimes not so best moments. It really let's me see that everyone is human and that this is a real channel and not one that's scripting everything all the time so that it's all rainbows and sunshine all the time. My favorite channels are literally people that don't fake there channels and let you into there world. Thanks for this great channel and your doing a amazing job and I believe the comments people are leaving shows just how great a person and channel you are and have!
I appreciate that you're keeping it real - no one can be all sunshine & happiness all the time. It's all about the journey, the highs and the lows, the good days and the bad ones.
Yes Paddy - bringing in your personal well-being brings us even closer to you and your travel experiences. You can feel the humane ... you are very modest - that's a big difference to many other RUclipsrs - I like you very much !
I get lonely all the time when traveling, it's still so worth it experiencing new things and seeing the world ❤ I definitely care, and want you to keep sharing these moments. Buuuut yes, it's hard to keep going when solo, I definitely understand that depleting energy! We love you!
Youre being honest and thats more than refreshing. Also, being jolly or happy is determined primarily by your genes and then your life experiences. Some people are just more introspective rather than loud and extroverted.
You have a great channel Paddy, don’t worry about the ‘creative block’ stuff, you’ve already laid the groundwork. We’re just enjoying seeing what you’re doing, the places you’re going to etc. You can relax and enjoy it. Best wishes
The roller coaster of life .... you are on an epic adventure Paddy D there’s going to be ups and there’s going to be downs . When traveling in a car your in a bubble and you look out at the picture around you , when traveling on a motorcycle your in the elements your senses are alive and you become part of the picture and all that it is . Every province in Thailand on a bike , now that’s living life
Paddy your channel and the journey your on inspires me, this isn't a vlog about where expats and retirees need to be, this is a young digital nomad telling a story on his travels part of that story is your personality and your feelings expressed , who knows the next season of Next level adventures could be a different country a different set if circumstances and we want your point of view not just the camera. Keep doing what your doing mate.
This just reminded me of the time I've travelled solo, it's ok for some time but eventually we need someone to share those beautiful places and moments with.
Part of the journey Paddy, is like being homesick but it will go away and then you will really start to enjoy the beauty of travelling again. Stay positive, and remember that we are all checking your channel awaiting excited for new (the BEST) content!
Love that you are keeping things open and honest, we're here for the journey. The best (and worst) travel memories are often more about the journey and how you're feeling during than simply the destinations, so while not all positive it all adds to the story and how you view the world. I appreciate that you've highlighted the wider impact of this pandemic on touristy towns like this. Also congrats on 1million video views! The work you've put in to pump out so many high quality videos so regularly over the last three months is super impressive.
Hey Paddy thanks for the personal perspective and yes we are listening and talking to you! Listen very very carefully and you may hear us!! Happy travels looking forward to the next instalment
Great video, Koh Lanta is my favourite Thai island. Its a special place for me and can't wait to get back. It must get hard being alone but keep going! You are living life NEXT LEVEL something that I'm envious of!
Mr. Doyle, I have discovered your channel about a month ago and watched most of your videos, relevant to me. Recently i see that your positivity is getting low, but to be honest i like this recent videos even more, this means that you are truthful, keep em coming man, I'm sure the good vibes is around the corner...
You say it's more personal, but you're not really sharing your deeper thoughts. What thoughts are you pondering on this "journey?" Are you lonely, are you scared of the future, are you excited to find a soul mate? This will only be a " travel" series if that's what you make it. Sharing your deeper thoughts and being vulnerable will not only possibly be therapeutic, but it might make you beloved. I'll be a fan with either direction you choose, but will probably be more invested if you choose the latter. Good luck, Paddy!
Dude, don’t just stay in places to hunker down. Stay in places to recharge... your channel supporters will all still be here if you need to chill and recharge at any point during your big adventure. Don’t put so much pressure on yourself to keep moving and putting out videos all the time.
Paddy, you're doing really great. Try to remember how much you wanted to do this. So keep the spirits high. My wife and myself really enjoy watching your videos. Keep it up!
We've been living in Koh Lanta for 17 years. In the beginning when our children were younger we explored the island more. Now were mostly up at Malee Highlands. It's fun to watch your channel. I will never travel around Thailand (due to my handicap) So it's like I travel with you ❤️Welcome back to Koh Lanta to reset and watch the sunsets with us! //Mia
Hope that Lanta National Park will make a fence along the cliff near the lighthouse. Only a warning sign does not prevent the people from getting too close that accidentally fall to death. Otherwise, put the trespassing sign or a barricade at the entrance.
I hear that Koh Lanta is recovering from Covid times now, when we were in Thailand Jan & Feb 2023 things were definitely starting to pick up. Thanks for the video, accommodation looked lush
It's very hard to stay positive and creative when your surroundings are very bleak and hopeless for so many wherever to go.These beautiful places miss the human touches that bring a smile to you face and warmth your heart when you are down.Keep up the good work.
Hey Paddy. Really enjoying your videos about Thailand.. and life in general. We are here for the journey but I suspect you are putting pressure on yourself to produce an "epic" video each time. You have so many more provinces to visit , so may I suggest you relax on the "incredible" and focus more on the day to day. For example today's video was awesome, no doubting that, but I would have equally enjoyed 30 minutes of you riding around the town and just talking about what you observe. I often watch RUclips vids of people just exploring on their motobikes. Remember, you see it every day, all day. For us it's just a glimpse. You are an intelligent person and offer good insights into life in general. Btw I LOVED the lake journey and the lotus' in your last video. Keep up the good work and I look forward to your next update.
Your honesty and human emotion is refreshing, Paddy. Don't change because then you'd just be another always "happy" Thailand vlogger. My wife, Kim, and I live in Phetchabun, Thailand. We've been retired and living here since November 2018. The first year was fantastic, but then the China virus hit the world. Thailand pretty much escaped it for awhile, but now we hear about it every day, and even though we have had almost no cases in our province, everyone here is again running around with the dumb masks again. I hate to see the "Land of Smiles" covered up with masks. Although Thailand is, in so many ways, a tropical paradise, and we haven't been affected as much as most of the world by the pandemic, it's still a seemingly never-ending mental stress. When you get to Phetchabun, if you don't have to quarantine by then, and you'd like to visit us we'd be happy to have you in our home! Just let me know. Keep up the great vlogs because you've quickly become my favorite Thailand vlogger. 😊
As said many times before I enjoy all your mood swings as it is just real life. Traveling isn't always picture perfect and also lives from all the hikes we turned around. I mutch rather have a real experience than just a list of the highlights.
I really enjoy the personal aspect of your videos. If I just wanted tips, I would just google. But its more fun to experience it through your eyes. And we all know, traveling isn't always fun. Especially when you're just by yourself. The sunsets were great indeed! Can't wait for the next video!
Stay positive Paddy… but I do love you showing us your genuine feelings. Makes it real. I think the emptiness of the island has to do with your mood. Everyone has the ups and down, especially when traveling solo. I know I do. Take care.
really enjoy your content... keeping it an honest view of solo journeying... being alone is both most rewarding but also hardest part about extended travel... thank you !!
Keep on doing whatever it is you're currently doing....Because it's not broken ! We like it just the way it is...And you do it very well ! This is a road trip and your fans know you haven't even scratch the surface to covering Thailand yet...
Hi Paddy! I'm travelling alone too in Thailand and I know exactly how you feel! The sunsets are a good way to reset and I've been feeling too how great a laugh can make me feel, even when I hear it from someone at a distance. Thank you for the great videos! 🙏
The loneliest person is the person who can't spend time with themselves. You're your best friend...Be well, be positive and be kind to yourself. Keep moving forward, enjoy the journey and thanks for sharing : )
I never went to an island in Thailand, but to other islands (caribean, mediterranean, south american, ...)And I cannot exactly pinpoint what it is, but Life rytthm on islands is different, slower. When I was travelling alone on those, it somehow invariably made me feel sometimes melancholy and like not energetic, as if the slowness of it all caught up with my spirits. So I understand your feelings, and on top of that, for you with this peculiar times, it s way harder to meet people on the way and partake experiences and have some crazy moments with other unknown random humans... But you are sharing it all with us amazingly through your videos. Your sterngth is that if your creativity sometimes hits a bump, then your honnesty, lucidity and story telling capacities anyway still make every video a master piece in my opinion. Keep it up, do not doubt yourself so much. just let it flow as it comes
Your experience highlights that beautiful, wonderful moments happen in our lives not because of where we are , but who we are with. COVID has really exposed how important human interaction is for our wellbeing. Maybe you could connect with some traveling partners? And yes, we want the whole experience - ups, downs and all.
Thanks to you i finally came to Koh lanta in Dec 2022 to catch one of those beautiful sunsets sitting on a haymock with a gelato near eco restaurant. South long beach. Thanks for your efforts and putting this paradise on my bucket list
Keep this raw honesty coming. It's why we're here Paddy Solo travel isn't "being on holiday" like people think. It's proper life changing stuff, and it's not always easy Koh Lanta is easily my least fav place I've been in Thailand. There's just something off about the place Looking forward big time to Railay Beach, Koh Tao etc
I love your videos Paddy. Just continue sharing the places and things the you love to explore and experience at your own pace. Your honesty and quirky attitude is awesome. Stay positive and stay safe!
Repeating the sentiment with many of the other comments here. Loving the videos, really enjoyed watching them all so far, and we want to see the whole journey, what its like to travel alone and how it feels including ups & downs. There is enough instagram reality out there! Dont be afraid to show the whole thing. I know you dont feel like you want to show the shut down business' because its not feel good. But the world is how it is and its really all a part of your journey of discovering these places. Sometimes what we find is not what we expect. Just briefly seeing all those shut down restraunts on the coast was already eye opening. Its interesting to see how its effected places and people around the world. I would be interested to hear what any locals have to say - there are stories everywhere. Its ok to take some time to chill for sure, everyone gets into ruts and experiences fatigue. Dont try and fit too much into a day, even if you only take one step, go to one place, talk to one new person, thats one step further. Its easy to get a bit jaded when what your seeing becomes seemingly every day to you, but honestly there is so much cool stuff to see from an outsiders perspective in every one of your videos. I would have been happy with a video where you just run into a gang of monkeys - or talk about the local fruits / menus / plant life / local customs / religions / snacks / bike life. Its all interesting to me because i live in the UK and as you know its so different. That probably goes for a large majority of viewers. keep taking in those sunsets!
Excellent video Paddy. Thank you for sharing your thoughts and feelings, it makes you stand out from other Thailand vloggers and makes your content real and authentic 👍👍👍.
Paddy, hang in there. Life has a way to bring the best surprises when you least expect it. And your travels will only increase the chances for those rewarding opportunities. Thanks for being candid and sharing both the ups and downs. We’ve somehow all been in situations like yours before which is what makes your captured videos and emotions all the more personal. Continue to stay (COVID) safe.
Thanks for contributing.. I don't know in my life if I will get to ever go to Thailand as much as its been calling. Least videos like yours are a chance to almost be there.. :)
Mate, I’m so glad that you are honestly representing your trip, your a bloody beautiful human and these times are to be expected... don’t lose the vibe... rest and recuperation is in order. Beers and good food... rest and be at peace... then KICK ITS ASS!!! All my best mate, 🇦🇺❤️❤️
Nice Forrest bathing sometimes you just have to stop and be in the moment. Your doing a great job bringing all that Thailand has to offer, we are all enjoying the adventure with you. Thanks for taking us along for the journey. I remember camping on Koh Lanta for a couple weeks back in the 90’s and every evening going to enjoying a dvd movie and dinner with The other tourists such happy memories and good vibes thanks again for taking us down memory lane.
Due to travel alone in October but seeing this totally makes me want to have some1 to join the ride -.- just remember how blessed you are to be in the position you are ...not jealous atall!
Your doing an amazing job. Thank you for the personal touch. Travel is amazing but hard at times. Looking forward to your next video. Dan from Australia
I love your style of videos. It would be great though if you added more food in the videos... Like... What you eat for each meal, how much it is, etc. Also go to a grocery store, or market and show what they are selling, how much things are, etc. ❤️
I found your youtube channel a couple of weeks ago and I have thoroughly enjoyed seeing your post. I've spent many vacations there in Thailand over the last 20 years seeing my dad lived there. I've actually been offered a job there and will be heading that way in a few weeks. Maybe our paths may cross! This particular post was very good....thanks for being real and passionate. I wish you the very best in your travels....Jerry
Looking forward to more island videos they're usually my favourite part of traveling Thailand :) as for the loneliness you're feeling is just as important to show as the fun energy filled days helps keep the vlogs more true to life cuz I don't know any backpacker that hasn't had a shit ton of these days mixed into their adventure. Maybe find a travel buddy for some legs of the trip and it'll bring ur energy levels up
The B&B rocked for that price buddy 👊 And thanks for showing Koh Lanta and the very fine roads of it 😉 Loving every second of your vids, bud you already know it 🙏 And yes i care about you and your journey buddy 💕
That’s one very affordable room, Paddy. You have shared a good perspective of Koh Lanta already. Be gentle with yourself. Some of the writers labeled the emotions we are feeling this pandemic as ‘languishing’ when we are not on our prime nor we are on our best self. I appreciate that you are holding a bottle of San Miguel beer from the Philippines. How was it? Looking forward that after Thailand 🇹🇭 you will also consider the 81 provinces or the 7000+ islands of the Philippines 🇵🇭.
Hi Paddy, I just discovered your channel today and love it. I really enjoy seeing you discover around town and listening to your thoughts while driving around town. To me, it is fun to engage in your fun activities and info. Thanks for providing such great content to get us engaged, it is unique of you. Keep doing what you are doing.
One of your best videos Paddy; Koh Lanta is beautiful and quiet it seems. Your vila looks really nice, and very affordable. Thank you for sharing.................

@Ahmir Damon definitely, I have been using instaflixxer for since november myself =)
@Ahmir Damon Definitely, been using InstaFlixxer for months myself :D
I also experienced the same kind of low moods while travelling solo. Seeing so many amazing things and not having people to share the moment with. Be kind to yourself. Take the breaks. Enjoy the sunsets.
I hear you 🥰
Belinda, are you Itchy Boots? 🤔🤩

I really glad to hear that
Well said Scott, there’s nothing to be added. Paddy you’re doing great so far. I like your honesty. Traveling isn’t just unicorn and rainbows. 👍
I am with you Little Brother. We want the whole package. The ups downs and the inbetweens! Love seeing you journey through Thailand whatever the weather and whatever the mood. Travel safe.
Paddy, YOU are why we're here. There are plenty of walkthrough and touristy videos on Thailand. Only one Paddy Doyle. Keep it real. ♡

Patty it's those personal insight and feeling that separate your channel from others. I love them.
This is more then a bike trip ,also a personal experience trip .its all in the game ,love your content 👍

Koh Lanta was my favourite place when I visted Thailand in 2018. :)
You have a great channel Paddy, don’t worry about the ‘creative block’ stuff, you’ve already laid the groundwork. We’re just enjoying seeing what you’re doing, the places you’re going to etc. You can relax and enjoy it. Best wishes
Thanks ☺️
I like how honest transparent and real you are in documenting your journey keep it up
The roller coaster of life .... you are on an epic adventure Paddy D there’s going to be ups and there’s going to be downs .
THANKS!
Mr. Doyle,
I have discovered your channel about a month ago and watched most of your videos, relevant to me.
Please continue to share your personal insights during your travels through Thailand. I appreciate your inner journey too. Love and light to you.
Keep up the good work and I look forward to your next update.
thanks! I appreciate that!
Always love coming back to Koh Lanta. Laid back and relaxed, no matter what beach you go.
Hi Paddy,
Hang in there! Take time out to enjoy the things you love. Covid times has been hard due to the isolation. Especially as a single person.
You’re living the dream! 😍 I’m always super excited to see your videos
Thanks to you i finally came to Koh lanta in Dec 2022 to catch one of those beautiful sunsets sitting on a haymock with a gelato near eco restaurant. South long beach.
Thanks for your efforts and putting this paradise on my bucket list
Your honesty is refreshing!
Keep this raw honesty coming. It's why we're here Paddy
Solo travel isn't "being on holiday" like people think. It's proper life changing stuff, and it's not always easy
Koh Lanta is easily my least fav place I've been in Thailand. There's just something off about the place
Looking forward big time to Railay Beach, Koh Tao etc
That was another beautiful place in Thailand I had never seen before an excellent
Captured.
Thanks for that
My wife gonna love it....the sunset view is spectacular.....the resort is great.....
We all feel lonely at times but it’s nice to know you have a beautiful soul x
Sharing the good and the not so good is part of a friendship. Keep sharing your feelings with us.
Travel, like life has it's ups and downs, stay the course, brother! See you in The Big Mango.
Thanks dude 😀
Travelling brings so many emotions you can be up one minute down the next try and and enjoy every minute keep smiling paddy 😃
Of course we care Paddy! You are the reason we watch your videos. Anyone can do a puff piece, we are here for your real journey ❤️
Stay up paddy, love how you always keep it real, love your vids.
I appreciate that
Your doing an amazing job.
I love your videos, because you try so hard. And things don’t always turn out but you still carry on.
Awesome, thank you!
Great video Paddy, it’s great that you can share your personal journey with us. Makes it more real. Take care buddy.
I think it’s great that share everything! Keep it up 👍🏻
Looking forward to more island videos they're usually my favourite part of traveling Thailand :) as for the loneliness you're feeling is just as important to show as the fun energy filled days helps keep the vlogs more true to life cuz I don't know any backpacker that hasn't had a shit ton of these days mixed into their adventure. Maybe find a travel buddy for some legs of the trip and it'll bring ur energy levels up
The B&B rocked for that price buddy 👊
And thanks for showing Koh Lanta and the very fine roads of it 😉
Loving every second of your vids, bud you already know it 🙏
And yes i care about you and your journey buddy 💕
Welcome aboard!
One of your best videos Paddy; Koh Lanta is beautiful and quiet it seems. Your vila looks really nice, and very affordable. Thank you for sharing.................
Love your videos, always with an honesty that really makes them different. Keep going please . 👍
