    Clear Night Filter for Mavic 2 Pro: amzn.to/2t4sbCQ
    Clear Night Filter for Osmo Pocket: amzn.to/2MOhHkj
    The Freewell Clear Night Filter helps capturing clearer and sharper night images with your DJI Mavic 2 Pro or DJI Osmo Pocket by preventing the surrounding light pollution from affecting the picture quality. Also, when using the filter you cut down the unwanted yellowish light from surrounding artificial light sources so you end up with a more natural-looking image in the end.

    Question, Do you think you can get the same results by changing the white balance, such as selecting a cooler temp setting in the manual white balance setting

    Great work Mike, I always appreciate your drone photography and accessory tutorials. May I suggest you reshoot this experiment but try a color temp closer to a 3200K tungsten hue, rather than the 5500K sunny hue you used. That cooler bluish hue helps to compensate for the ambient yellows quite well based upon my M2Pro tests. But given the price of this filter is 'only' $20, I ordered one to give it a try, too. Keep up the nice work!

    Never heard of clear night filters. Great Video. I'm hearing here in the US that the FAA will be allowing more or certain night flying in the near future. I'll be watching this one again.

    Great videos! Subscribed! I got a question. I was just gifted my first drone (DJI Tello) and i really like flying it , taking pictures and so on. What should be the next step? Should i invest in the middle range ( Spark/Mavic Air ) or should i go straight for Mavic 2 Pro ?
    Благодаря предварително ;)

    • @DroneSupremacy
      @DroneSupremacy  5 лет назад

      A Mavic Air would be the next "logical" step, but it all comes down to how much you're willing to invest, how comfortable you feel when you fly and what you need the drone for. Ideally, the Mavic 2 Pro is of course the best out of all the choices you have, but if you don't fly it regularly or you don't use it for commercial flights etc. maybe the Air would be the wiser choice ;)

      slavvs I might suggest considering the Mavic 2 zoom. Yes, the sensor is smaller and it lacks the kick-ass Hasselblad optics, but the image quality of the zoom is still excellent and the zoom adds a great deal of versatility, especially if you are a beginner. With the Pro you will need to either zoom in post or else get the drone physically closer to your target if you want to zoom. With the Zoom you can... well... *zoom*. With the push of a button. All kinds of ways that comes in handy, especially if you don’t want to get to close to your subject. I like filming birds and they spook if I get too close, but with the zoom I don’t have to. And the zoom can make “dolly zoom” shots that cannot be done with the Pro.

    • @gregmihran8616
      @gregmihran8616 5 лет назад +2

      Yes I agree, too. I've been experimenting with the M2Pro at night and found that a color temp of about 3200K works best (aka. tungsten blue), rather than the 5500K used in this shoot. The cooler temp compensates for the ambient yellows considerably and may eliminate the need for this filter. However, given the filter price was only $20, I ordered one to play around with it.

    Thanks Mike. Question .. with the new waypoints now... could you set a waypoint so that the drone will go back to exact place/ position to take the next series of pics after you have changed filters? If so would make the changeover easier and more accurate?

    • @DroneSupremacy
      @DroneSupremacy  5 лет назад +1

      Yes, that's a good tip! It could have been much easier if i just programmed the waypoints and saved them as a mission. Why didn't i think of this lol

    • @dur8anpoison44
      @dur8anpoison44 5 лет назад

      Drone Supremacy cool. Please show us how as it would be awesome to learn how to do that before my drone arrives. I’m presuming you can save a couple different places and fly back to those (even static shots) for whatever reason or test you want. Am I understanding waypoints correctly.

      They fly identically. The only difference is the camera, and with the zoom lens the Mavic 2 Zoom can make “dolly zoom” shots.

    Under U.S. FAA rules night flying is illegal unless you have the specific permission of FAA.
