Hey bro I just wanted to say thank you for the super fast shipping on the 2 Pairs of half cabs and the Louie lopez pair I bought from you guys and the message that was written on the box. Made my day. Growing up I couldn't afford cool name brand skating shoes so Payless airwalks was the move. I really like that you guys make videos like this 👍🏻. I remember in high-school only rich kids wore és and now they're bringing all the old models back and I'm here for it! I copped this pair while watching the video. Hopefully I'll get the black pair soon. One to skate one to rock!
Great review. I appreciate how you went and did research about the shoes and even showed pictures of tom skating the boots that inspired them! Definitely sold me on the black pair.
I love these...that stitching and the tongue are music to my footsies. I think I'm leaning more towards the black only because I've had my fair share of various DC shoes in wheat color but that black. YES. I'm glad they're comfy. I have to say though you say you wear high water pants but your cuffs are always rolled up. I always assumed your pants were longer just because of the cuffs rolled up. I know, that's random LOL. Haha you’re right!! So I’ve cuffed my pants for so long I can’t go without annnnnd! They’re still just not long enough uncuffed to make me feel comfortable with it. So I’d rather cuff them and have them be a little more high water because … I’m crazy
I've seen these in hand and they are super clean. The brown pair do remind me of the SB wheats that came out a couple of years ago, these are lovely though. Good price for a quality product in my opinion. Great review as always. Thanks man
I’ve skated this shoes since I was 16 by far my favourite shoe to wear for skating and for casual wear you will not find a more comfortable shoe plus the tongue is super original and just make wearing the shoe super enjoyable just bought a pair of the lighter browns already have the black and the brown in the oh style
damn that brings memories, im 36 now 20 or so years ago in the era of the brown shoe fever i copped this sick shoe all brown with baggy blue jeans and over size white tee hell yeah
@@DavidBluetile my boy works for a shop. I wasn’t going to buy anymore shoes but the Penny 2 I had to grab. I thought I saw video of Tom skating a bowl in a pair of wheat Tim’s, so I don’t think you where wrong.
oh that's cool. im sure there has to be a shop or two out there that has em already. shipping delays are super real though so maybe theyre just late getting there.
@@DavidBluetile huge snow storm in Vancouver, Montréal & Toronto recently & holidays account for shipping delays for sure. I’m okay with spending few extra dollars if they are going to Tom Penny, a skateshop & a brand like éS. Merry xmas Dave 🙏🏼🎄
So glad thes came back and I wish other companies do similar shoes. Those are the perfect skate shoes for me. At 44 I don´t want to much boar feel. Those skinnies Nike alike shoes are definitly a no no for me. Those give much more confort and support and I still can feel my board. Also much more durable.
Man I am with you. I want skate brands to pop off just like some of the larger brands. I feel like there is room in the market for both but I'll tell ya this... these aren't selling as I had hoped they would. I posted about it the other day. Im trying to figure out how we can still support stuff like this in the shop. I know there are 24 skaters out there that want this dang shoe.... so we need to figure out a way to connect these 24 pairs with the skaters that want them. Unfortunately I feel like the fans of these shoes just wait for them to go on clearance and that's just going to end badly for the brand.
@@DavidBluetile Was it actually a Koston? I thought they couldn't release Koston's because of his current Nike deal. The closest thing I thought we got was the éS Evant from a few years ago, which was heavily inspired by the K3
Do you like these more than the Accel, or do you feel the same since they're almost the same shoe? I also think the Accel slim would be a lot better if they used the Accel OG sole, with the slimmed down upper.
I had a pair of the originals from 2004; white with grey trim. I gave them away. Big mistake. FLiP WAS POPPIN OFF 1999-2008, and Penny was/is on Flip. The white with grey trim is not available this time around, so I call these the P3s. This time around, I got that TAN/GUM. I feel that color is closest to the original, true Penny style.

these are nice but these kinda have that boot look to me, im more a fan of the regular accel og I have countless pairs and two more ordered on the way love the regular ogs
@David Bluetile I do both , for the tribo silo Mashup I bought two one to skate and one for the shelf 114 retail, I do peak around for the sales buts it's not a deal breaker for me, when I did see a sale for 54 I ordered two pair instantly instead I wouldve ordered only one , this past order I made gor my bday the other day was accel ogs in blue on sale for 45 and regular price all white ogs for 82, I ordered both .

Tom is a style icon, I still skate in 4XL tees/polos and baggy pants to this day, never got in that high water, cropped or 2010-swag era look

they released a Koston recently. ive got a couple coming in spring.
Creagers definitely releasing late 2023, Muskas in the near future, I also hear the Koston 3 in the distant future.

Yeah I agree with that. The accel slim is too slim. But I do like the penny 2 better for some reason. It just feels unique…. Not that the accel isnt

They run a little big but I can’t imagine them being a size and a half big. Maybe an 11?
