- Still wet, wet, wet! Tony spruces up our old woodshed and outside bar and we visit a local brocante where we find a couple of bargains.

We are Tony and Jane and we are living in and renovating our old Relais De Poste/Coaching Inn.
We live in the middle of France in a region called The Berry.
We have over 40 rooms to renovate so there is plenty of work to be done. We also love to trawl the local Brocantes, flea markets and antique shops for quirky furnishings and furniture.
We love to find out about local history and often visit other peoples buildings including our friends’ Chateaux.

I was starting to get worried you had said before you were not feeling well and then so much time passed, I was going to ask the guys if all was okay; really happy you’re feeling better! I know I got a little something and it’s been hard to shake; yep that sun feels good doesn’t it!

Good morning Jane, I was thinking yesterday I wonder what the Old Bird is up to, have not seen her for a while, and yes Jane, I/we miss you when you do not have time to do videos. Your cheery voice always has a surprise for us. Much rain in France, but the things are holding. So pleased nothing has flooded. The roof is amazing, and the wood will stay dry now, love the neat and tidy appearance the shed gives and maybe move the bird house to a more quiet spot, could be thee is too much traffic, they do like their privacy!! How is the veggie garden doing and the hot house? Sorry to hear you were not well, do take care so you can recover fully, since I had the flu almost a month ago, I still have 'weak' days where I feel I can't do too much. Just one day at a time. Next time hopefully the sun will be shining and it will be lovely and warm. Thank you for the update it was lovely to spend time with you and Tony. Kind regards, Elize.

Good job on the roof Tony. It's done nothing but rain where I live, and it's fairly open and rural, so I feel your pain. Shame about the cabinets at the brocante, the shape of them, maybe Tony could have put them to good use. Glad you're feeling better Jane, see you next time 👋
Sorry you have been under the weather - glad you are on the mend. Tony is so talented, I don't think there is a single challenge he cannot tackle. It makes me wonder if the younger generation has anyone as talented for the future. It's nice to see because it reminds me of my Dad, he was a well rounded handy man as well.

Aww bless u jane glad you’re feeling better. I’ve been in hospital with a very bad uti and shingles. Heart rate 147. Felt like I was dying! 3 drips going for 3 days and 5 lots of antibiotics. Still recovering , I don’t want that again. Great job tony! Looks great. Lisa xx ❤❤

Sorry to hear you weren't well glad you are feeling better Jane. Beautiful wood store and bar looks lovely Tony and Jane well done. I hope the rain stops a bit soon I wish the authorities would do some improvements to make sure the small waterway you have wouldn't be overwhelmed so much. The paintings were lovely as were those stoves. The garden furniture had a great selection other than the reclining chairs hopefully you will find what you are looking for.
Glad to see you back Jane I was getting worried! I liked that old bike with the basket on, it like one used in ww2 movies. You could put flowers in the basket would be a cute decoration leaned against a wall at your place!
I’d have gone for the dark red roof….. it would have meant a few €s to spend in the local bar !!!
Also I’m surprised that Tony didn’t move the logs to another location and used the log area to extend the Bar 🙂 or just done a swap, bar area for woodshed 🙂
