    One of DiMarzio's best sets. I agree with your setup of the Crunch Lab. Facing the blade towards the neck gives it a warmer tone, as it does with the D-Sonic and the old MegaDrive, also blade/hex designs. I used a MegaDrive for a while around '85 to '91 and that's how it worked for me. The Crunch Lab is one of the best Petrucci sig pups. That's generally a good line of signature pups, but I don't feel the need to try every set because I'm not after Petrucci's tone. As great a player as he is, I'm much more a classic rock guy, into Frank Marino, Michael Schenker, Uli Roth, Robin Trower, etc. I find that the Tone Zone and Super D and Air Zone are great for tapping into that vibe. The Crunch Lab has an incredible, clear and full-bodied split tone for cleans. Nice demo, keep on rocking.
