Out of them all the 59 nailed the tone the best even over the wolfgang. I may have to dig out my old MJ 59 from the early 80's and give it a whirl in one of my Charvels after hearing this.

@@jonathanguimond That would be the Duncan 78 Model. It's similar to the 59 but with an AlNiCo 2 magnet and it's supposedly a copy of a rewind he did for Eddie when he brought him a dead PAF. You can also try the Duncan Custom Custom which is similar to what ended up in the Frankenstein guitar before he retired it.

Thanks ! I got to tell you tho, the 59 is very trebly.
i like the Air Norton
Fantastic video thanks for that. For me it's between the 59 and the air Norton. Bit more snap and clearer single picked palm mute notes.
Thanks ! the 59 ended up in the guitar in the end, the bite was awesome :)
Nice video. Air Nortons have the best balance between clarity and punch
SO the AIr Norton was originallyu designed to be a Bridge pickup - just sounds awesome in teh neck
@@JimRidings yeah, that's why I wanted to try it there !
Gotta add a thing : the UNDISPUTABLE hero of leads is the EVO. This is the best, hands down, bridge pickup for leads.
To me the seyour duncan 59 nails it!
Ok….but where’s the SD 11?
Saved me a ton of time and $$ Mr. Scoville Project.. Air Norton's hands down for me
I think the best EVH Sound is when Evolution and Air Norton get a Baby and I think a Airzone or Norton could do the Sound good
One of my friends actually told me the Norton should do the trick. Personally I'd like a version of the 59 with less highs

Jb sounds nice
Thanks man !
It can do the Brown Sound but it's more compressed and there's lots of top end. He ended up using a JB in his 5150 guitar during the Hagar era.

*DiMarzio Norton is the best*
