LNER 2392 Grosmont 19/09/2023

Here we see LNER J27 2392 pass Grosmont Motive Power Depot on its way to Pickering on Tuesday 19/09/2023. The locomotive is looked after by the North Eastern Locomotive Preservation Group based at the North Yorkshire Moors Railway. The day was a special occasion as the loco was making its first appearance having been turned out in LNER lined black to mark 100 years to the day since it was out shopped at Darlington North Road Works.
Being serviced over the pit is BR Standard 4 Tank 80136 which had brought the train down from Pickering in the morning along with the J27.
