- Gulfstream’s G700 flight test program is in full swing, and the company recently flew its second production aircraft, known as P2, for the first time. The 7,500-nautical mile-range twinjet is equipped with a full interior and is being used to test maturity, durability, and comfort of the cabin elements.

Gulfstream offers nearly unlimited interior options for its largest business jet, which can be configured with five living areas and can accommodate up to 19 passengers. The manufacturer expects FAA certification for the G700 and entry into service in mid-2023.

Sorry if this is a weird question, but I'm trying to understand the configuration about the Grand Suite lavatory on the G700.
At 4:18 First question - I understand that the toilet is inside the quilted ottoman-type seat located next to the oval mirror. Does the lid flip back against the wall with the window or does it flip up to the side against the closet wall. I can't really tell how it would work from the video.
At 4:22 Second question- The shower has some sort of bench with a lid. What is that used for? Is it a storage container of some sort?

No crew rest in the Grand Suite version? The airplane can fly 14 hours. It would be nice to have a shower but keep the crew rest.
