It’s very refreshing to hear that you suffer from the same self control failings as I do, particularly as I am a 66 year old who has lived a lifetime of poor nutritional choices, who is only now (rather late in life) getting his act together. It’s very unlikely that at my age, with naturally dwindling levels of testosterone, I’m ever going to have a physique anything like yours, but if I can pin down my diet and get fit I could prolong my life appreciably. I’m not a gym rat but I find all of this applies to any productive lifestyle. I’ve got to the point where eating shit for one day leaves me hungover for two. I’m depressed, anti social and unproductive. A week of looking after my body and mind and my productivity and happiness levels are through the roof. The biggest sin I commit is to drink alcohol. Even getting tipsy, I feel lazy and depressed for almost half a week while I try to get back on track. Such an uphill battle. I’m glad I’m cutting down lately and becoming better at resisting those things... hoping to go completely sober soon

Honestly it is insane how bad physically and mentally junk food makes me feel too that I also believe its not worth eating that crap but its really difficult to resist it especially when you are out with friends. That one alcoholic beverage or a bar of chocolate throws me off so hard each time that its extremely hard to continue with my normal eating the next morning.

Hi Mike, what I"be learned about eating healthy and your over all health is how it affects the fhealthy bacteria in your gut.It seems to directly affect your whole over health.The medicinal affect of certain herbs and correct vegetables trying to avoid nightshade. IE potatoes. aubergines squash and making sure you peel and remove the seeds from tomatoes.apparently this is what Italians have done for years. The hardness part is trying to reduce you meat intact and still keeping your protein intact high enough. I simply eat more fish. Cottage cheese and nuts. Martin

Very well put together video, something I came across is the energy associated from food, wholefoods aka sentient foods bring about an energy that is good for both the body and mind if you're into meditation and increasing your consciousness, which is why most people that pursue this path are vegan as meat has static energy, which can build up the body but it is not good for the mind

I must say its superb to hear that even +10 year disciplined pro has issues with treats and for example sugar. I think this is very good and human thing to say and admit. Very useful especially for beginners and young people. 👍
The problem is that it is extremely difficult to eat 3000-4000 calories worth of clean food only. Plus there are technically no inherently bad foods, it is just a question of moderation. Most of the main foods people would consider as clean are tough to over consume on and therefore it is a bit easier to hit your calorie goals if you squeeze in some junk food here and there.

That is why low carb/sugar diet is effective. It greatly reduces cravings to eat more carbs/sugar. It makes you also select better food choices.
