And so begins the demise of Robin and Jason. She wants him to change and stop doing what he loves. Wants to let her "take care of him" which he would never? allow. She even tried to keep him drop trying to talk to Sonny.
People seem to forget that Carly had nothing to do with Jason and Robin’s first breakup. That was all because Jason would not quit Sonny when she ask him to. People act like Robin and Jason’s relationship was all perfection until Carly came along. but that was not true. And when she asked him to agree to say he was Michael father, Jason and Robin was no longer together. Jason would not have agreed if he was still with Robin, and Carly would not have asked. She might have asked Jason for help, but she would not have asked him to say he was the baby’s father.
So all Taggert cares about is what Jason might have told her about Sonny. He couldn’t cared less about who shot Jason. Which is a shame, because the shooter was part of the drug ring that Taggert claimed he wanted to shut down. Of course with Taggert, if it did not incriminate Sonny he was not interested. This was a cop with a personal agenda and he didn’t care about anything else. His method of investigating was bullying and intimidation.n
Taggart was way out of his league when he should never make things personal with being a cop not sniffing to take sonny down that had nothing to do on Jason being shot. It’s funny how Jason is so scared and worried about sonny when he’s no good for sonny in the condition he’s in to not be thinking straight.
This is the start of where bad writers that didn't know the characters of Robin and Jason. Because if they did they would've known Robin and Jason would tell each other the truth and do whatever they could to protect each other. Jason would never let something like Carly and her son come between him and Robin. Robin would've never went along with a lie about AJ and his baby she would've told Jason he was wrong for keeping his brother's child from him. Robin never wanted to control Jason she just had seen so much death that she didn't want Jason to get killed. Any normal person that love someone wouldn't want to watch them die if they could prevent it. Ribon told AJ because Carly said she was going to use Micheal to control Jason and she's just that evil that she would and she did just what Robin said she was going to do to get back at Jason. Carly basically said when he stop giving to her and taking care of her she would tell AJ about Micheal and never let Jason see him. That is when Robin did what she has done and still does protect Jason. It wasn't revenge and it wasn't her jealous of Carly. Carly had nothing for Robin to be jealous of. Everything she got and has she got by sleeping with every man she could. This is her character. Jason and Sonny would have protected Robin the same way and never turned against her for Carly. These 3 characters should have never agreed to this stupid storyline.
It was actually Robin who predicted that Carly would tell AJ and Carly just let her believe it. But Carly was bluffing. Telling AJ was the one thing that Carly would never have done, because she believed if she did, AJ would take Michael away from her and he would never let her see him. The thing that got me about it was that she went straight to AJ from the big fight with Carly. Why didn’t she go to Jason? At least discuss it with him. That is why I don’t buy her reason. So let’s get this straight. To prevent Jason from losing Michael, Robin does the one thing that would ENSURE that Jason would lose Michael. And somehow this was suppose to keep CARLY from doing the one thing that would cause Jason to lose Michael. And this was suppose to protect Jason? How? Seriously, this makes sense to you? It doesn’t make sense to me and it didn’t to Jason. He knew immediately what was going to happen. And once he pointed out to her the illogic of that reason, she switched to the oh so noble ‘’but what else could I do?’’ What else could She do? How about nothing, just what she had been doing for a year. What she had promised Jason. Then she falls back on I TOLD THE TRUTH! But it was a truth she promised Jason she would never tell. This right after AJ told her if Michael had been his, he would go for full custody and cut Carly out of Michael’s life. AJ told her two different times what he would do. So it is not like she didn’t know what AJ would do if he ever found out. And both times she promised Jason she would never tell. She knew the truth when she made that promise. So just after she has a big fight with Carly, she suddenly decides she can’t bear to carry this lie a moment longer. Not even long enough to. go to Jason first? Why? Jason is the man she supposedly loved. How could she make a decision that would impact his life so profoundly without even discussing it with him? Then when he did not accept her excuses, she told him if he lost Michael, that Michael was not his to have in the first place. And while that might have been true, what a cruel thing to say to someone who was facing losing the child he loved because of her actions. It indicated to me that losing Michael was not all that big a deal to Robin. She was not one bit sorry for how badly she would hurt Jason. She convinced herself she was fully justified. There was only one reason Robin told AJ about Michael. She got mad at Carly because of the fight and went to AJ to get back at Carly. She believed the only reason Jason put up with Carly was Michael, and I think she thought Jason was staying with Michael mostly out of a sense of duty. After all, in her mind, Michael was not Jason’s child anyway. If he lost him, he would get over it. And maybe AJ would still let Jason be a part of his life. That was naive. Robin underestimated Jason’s love for Michael and the strength of his friendship with Carly. She had the gall to tell him that now he was free, that Carly could not use Michael to manipulate him any more. Of course Carly couldn’t use a Michael to intimidate Jason if AJ had Michael, so in a way she was right. I am sure that she thought when she told him that Carly threatened to tell AJ the truth if he ever failed to give her what she wanted, Jason would tell Carly to leave but Jason knew Carly would never do that. He knew how terrified she was that AJ would find out. He was panicked and said he had to go check on Michael, so he told her to go home. She told him they were not done yet and she was stunned when he said they were and asked Sonny to see that she got home that she should not be there when he got back. She could not see that she was the one trying to manipulate Jason, not Carly. Robin was either naive about what would happen when she told AJ the truth or she was so angry, she didn’t care. And she was too stubborn to admit she had made a mistake, so she ran away to Paris, just like she did before, when she went behind his back to ask Sonny to fire him and he refused to be manipulated.
The honest truth is, the writers screwed this story line up. They betrayed the characters and the actors. They forgot the story of these two. Nothing that happened fit the characters that were developed. It was unfair to the actors who put time into developing the characters and the fans who supported them.
Honestly I didn't give a crap about Robin. Because all she did was something that Jason would never do. Because doing stuff out of love isn't love because it's not how the way things work at all. Yeah that's all.
Robin loved Jason so much same for him till the bad came and Carly to with her lies and more and they broke up and robin told the truth about Michael and jason could not forgive her but he did forgive Carly that i did not understand why
Carly lied.. a lot, but she never denied that she told lies. Robin made a big show about not lying and yet she lied about the most important thing in Jason’s life, Michael. She promised Jason she would never tell AJ about Michael. But she did and not for the noble reason she claimed but because of her jealousy of Carly. She wanted Carly out of Jason’s life and if it cost him Michael, that was O K by her. But she misjudged Jason. He was not as easy to manipulate as she thought he would be. And I believe if she had stayed and not gone back to Paris, he would have forgiven her. He would not have be able to help himself.
Until that moment jason never lied for her and she never asked him too that was the only real lie she ever asked of jason and as far as I'm concerned when the mother trust her child to someone no question is ever needed. She is the mom and what she says go it's not kidnapping she had the right to put her child where she wanted him to be at that time..
What was Jason supposed to forgive Carly for? No lie that Carly ever told, hurt Jason the way Robin did. Jason knew immediately that Robin had probably cost him Michael. And he was right. Carly hurt Jason when she slept with Sonny, but even that could not compare to what Robin did.
You do realize that Carly had nothing to do with Jason and Robin’s first breakup. She was barely in the picture and only as a friend. If Robin had not left Jason, he would not have been vulnerable to Carly’s pleas, he would never have agreed to say he was the father if he did not think he and Robin were over for good. Hell, Carly would never have asked. She might have asked Jason for help but not to be her baby’s father.
Of course Taggert only cares if Sonny was involved. Who cares about what happened to Jason and who did it. Typical Taggert only caring about his grudge against Sonny.
Thank you! Been trying to find this storyline on RUclips for years! ☺️
