I thought this video was about how much to trade with on a trade. For example if i want to make $200 per trade im trying to work out how much i would need to trade with on that one trade. For options and shares. Can you do a video on this?
Hi, do you have any idea on IBKR requirement to start trading option/futures? I currently have margin account that I use for stocks only, but if I try to apply for options/futures trading it gives me a warning that if I proceed they will disable my margin account and that does not also guarantee I will be eligible for options/futures trading. Thanks in advance!
Hi Tomas, you should be able to add options/futures onto your margin account. You have to select a minimum of “2 years” of experience for options and futures otherwise they won’t approve you.

Im.with ikbr. The 25k doesnt have to be cash. Your total account value has to be above 25k including shares.
