Reading some of the comments, haven't had a single issue with the hinge parts, and I didn't know two sticks of 8G Samsung R8 ram was " Unsatisfactory " compared to other laptops in either the same or higher price range that come with a single stick og some other companies ram at R16, or soldered to the board for that matter 🤔, there is no fan exhaust from the top as it pulls air in at the top and exhausts it out the sides, MSI website says it only supports up to 60 fps at 4k so I'm not sure what he ment by " If you lock it at 60 fps ", and you'd probably see better temps if you changed the fan curves and some other settings.
I have it. the fans are bearable at 4000+ rpm with no high pitched whine. as long as fps is kept at 60fps, I'm getting 70-75C while docked vertically and connected to tv via HDMI port.

The Lenovo Legion 5 made me fall in love with using gaming laptops as Linux workstations. I can no longer go back to 60Hz displays. I'm eyeballing the MSI Delta 15 now (as there's no number pad - I love centered keyboards).
I just bought this laptop the delta 15 for 1,100......This was my first AMD system I always used to buy Intel and NVIDIA card machines so far I love the performance and what I received for the price. Now I dont know if I was given the right info when I purchased this but i told the retailer that I wanted a laptop with the eq to a 3060 Graphics card and that was my main reason for buying was the specs. In comparison there towers that were around the same price 800.00 they were running i5s and 1650 Nividia so I figured it was a easy choice! If anyone has any questions about my experience so far shoot me some questions! I love this machine! I dare anyone to find a intel and nvidia laptop that comes close for the price I paid.

Did you test the battery life on 60hz or 240hz? Is there any quick way to switch between the refresh rate options or do we have to be hassled with going into the display settings every single time we want to change the refresh rate? What's the maximum capacity of each M.2 slots? I think you forgot to mention those 🙏
Great meeting you as well! I am ready to take up golf. As for a laptop, it depends what you are looking for and it depends on whether you use a mac or windows. Are you going to use it for content creation. I like the Dell XPS 15 9510 with the OLED display.

This seems like a nice gaming laptop for its price. Good performance, cool thermals and even good battery life. But for that price I think there are better options such as Lenovo Legion 5 Pro which has better display. Thank you for the review Andrew.
I'm still at awe in choosing Delta15 or Legion 5 Pro. I'm concerned about Delta15's thermals despite its battery life has some impressive stamina due to AMD Advantage requirements (I've owned MSI P65 for 3 years, in which Delta15 took its chassis design from, its i7-9750H runs over 87 degree almost all the time it gets a load and stays over 92 degrees on heavy loads, it stays over 65 degree even when idle), while Lenovo's footprint and design seem too gamery to me despite the cooling system and connectivity is better on Lenovo.
Nice Gaming PC. Webcam was fair but microphones sounded okay and clear. Like the easy access to get inside to do upgrades but having to remove motherboard to get to internals to be upgraded can be a little challenging for some people. For those people who prefer a numpad using an external bluetooth one such as a Havat smart26 or a Foloda both of which can be found on Amazon can fit the bill. These numpads are full size and nicely laid out. Still this PC is aimed primarily for gamers and for that this is an excellent PC. Great review as always.
A have the opportunity of buying either the MSI GL66 (i7 - RTX 3070) or the MSI Delta 15 (R7 - 6700M) for roughly the same price (100$ diff), can someone help me choose which one should i buy?
Not a big fan of that chin or the 16:9 display when most laptops in 2022 are shipping with 16:10 displays. I thought the 720p webcam is just fair but the internal mic quality is great! Also not a fan of the under 300 nit display as it’s a little dull in my opinion. The fact that they also make it a little harder to upgrade the internals is a negative as well. The aesthetics is first rate though! I like the fact that these companies are coming out with slim gaming laptops that are not very heavy, so that’s a plus. All and all, a very thorough review Andrew as always! Thank you!! 👍😁
I picked up the alpha 15 which is mostly the exact same specs except it has the rx6600m gpu and really the only downfall is the radeon software for the drivers. It doesnt always allow me to update drivers or even open sometimes. its just kinda garbage compared nvidia software
Flipped motherboards with unsatisfactory RAM provision - a killer every time for me. He needs an 'UPGRADEABILTY' category in his scoring - that would have killed the mark for this laptop.
was so excited to get this laptop. after less than 1 week im taking it back. it sat on desk not moved, the lid was opened as normal about 3 times and the hinge has completely exploded. im going to get a full refund. very very poor design. do not buy. also the screen is to dark to play darker games.

On 60 hz 9 hrs gaming time and on 240 hz it’s 5 hrs and u have to go to display to change refresh rate

Don't know. But the display is IPS
because IPS is a registered trademark of LG, they use it for their display tech.
