I have just bought this computer for music production (setting up mics on a drumkit plus lots of tracks and plugins on a DAW and mixing/mastering) so excited for it to come in the mail!
The laptop runs cool and silent in battery mode. But as soon as the charger is plugged in, the fans start to run around 3000 rpm. I tried using power efficiency mode, reducing the maximum performance to 10%, but not working. The issue is CPU temp rises above 52C and fans kick in, when the CPU temp goes below 50 the fans stop. This happens very fast in charging condition. Any idea on how to resolve that? I want it to run silent in office work while plugged in.
@@WootDini I tried that. But even with the fans at lowest setting, the fans are spinning around 2400 rpm while charging. THis is annoying for silent office environment. Also can you use 100W charger to charge this laptop? Not with USB c but using adapter for MSI delta charging pin.
How come cpu is drawing 136 w and GPU only 76 there might be some mistake, the 5900hx is supposed to draw somewhere between 35-54w. And the GPU is around 80 w
Hey man sorry for the late reply but the 136w figure is for the cpu and gpu combined. The reason for this is that this laptop uses amd smartshift which shows the combined power draw of the cpu and gpu. So the cpu is pulling around 60w alone.@@WootDini
Heya. So I'm pretty sure I replied here but YT deleted all my comments. So if you need any help, please make a new post so I can pick it up. Soz copy pasting this as I have 1000s of notifications that comments were not replied to.
I think the games that this laptop is trying to target are those esport titles, hence, the 240hz. Playing with this laptop is a breeze, from the likes of CSGO, DOTA2 and other esport titles.
@@WootDini yeah. I wish there were other options. Their product page shows that it does have other panel options available, however i havent found any even in other regions. The CPU config is different per region also, either a ryzen 9 (asia) or ryzen 7 (US)

AMD has come a long way from the good old days. I got this laptop and love it. I will never go back to Intel.
And it continues :) the efficiency keeps on getting better and better.
