  • Day 26.
Our final full day of harvest.
Sad day for me. The organized chaos that harvest is all about also creates a tremendous letdown when it’s over.
    I’m feeling it.
Kudos to Nick for today’s drone footage!!!!

Time is short. When I was young I didn't think age applied to me. That wasn't so long ago and now I am 72. Build your life on the Lord Jesus Christ so there will be hope for the future.

Hi from Iowa today. Thanks for another great video Tracey and Jim and everyone. Hard to believe you getting to the end of wheat harvest season. I don’t want it to end but that is life. Believe you said one more day of cleaning up some fields and things like that.
Thanks to Nick again for the amazing drone footage work. The scenery along those ravines and bluffs is just incredible and absolutely breathtaking!!!!! Wow. What unbelievable scenery!!!!!!!!!!!
The video you put together using your camera work and Nick’s footage is just so beautiful and amazing!!!!!!!!!
Seeing these fields planted around all of these ravines and bluffs is just so incredible; using every inch of flat ground to plant the seeds. Wow. Incredible!!!!!!
The scenery today was especially beautiful with all the changes in the landscape views.
Honestly, brings tears to my eyes to see the combine’s operating in this beautiful environment!!!!!!
So pleased you all got to go to the county fair in Montana. What a unique experience to do that and a nice bus ride besides. The video shots from the fair were most enjoyable. Thanks for doing that Tracey. Nice to have a little break in the action to do the fair.
That to Brent for arranging that time to do that and the nice bus. Yeah!!!!!!!
Looking forward to another day of final harvest time. What ever else you can film beyond that is appreciated. I am probably guessing you will have a few days of getting everything straightened up after harvest and some time to unwind before hooking up to the RV and head to Nebraska.
From the heart this harvest experience has been a highlight of my life since becoming disabled. Tracey, you and Jim have given me the opportunity to see the harvest first hand and be a part of it through your videos!!!!! You have made my everyday a bright spot in my life!!!! Just has been an amazing journey!!!!’ Looking forward to a few more days and hoping for some footage on your journey home!!!!!
Will see you tomorrow for the cleanup day of wheat harvest 2024!!!!!!!
You all take care and be safe.
Heartfelt thanks for the opportunity to ride along with you.
May God watch over you and Jim.
    The Iowa farm boy. Steve.

That's great you got to go to the fair. Always a great time. Glad to see you getting it done and all that wil be left is the good-byes, the hughs, and a few tears. Thanks for letting me ride on this trip. It's always sad to see the end of harvest with all the people that made it happen. Now comes the fun stuff of hauling, chem fallow, getting the drills ready for winter wheat. The cycle begins again.

Like so many others, I will miss your daily videos and comments from the fields and the farm. The views of so many of the activities it takes to harvest a crop are really great. And I greatly enjoyed your showing the Chouteau County Fair and the truck pulls! As I have said before I am from Fort Benton and this really is part of living there. (Side note: the announcer at the truck pulls is my brother, so it made it real special!). Safe travels to your home and hope to see you and Jim back for another season next year!

@@ZeorianHarvestingTrucking My first summer in college, I erected concrete silos for Dodson Mfg, of Wichita, the red and white topped ones. The farmer was responsible for our room and board. The first day on my first job, near Blackwell, Ok., the farmer took us to a cafe in town. I didn't know what a chicken fried steak was, but I ordered one. It was delicious, and about half way through, I ordered a second meal, fully expecting to pay for it myself. I was 6'5" tall and weighed 245...I was hungry!!! The farmer looked at me and said, "Don't worry boy, I'll pay for it!!! Most meals were on the farm/ranch. We ate good, were never hungry! Ag folks treated like guests, this city kid has always remembered...I'm 82 now...

I've looked at that terrain since I started watching last year and I'm really puzzled by those "upside down mountains and valleys!" At least that's what they look like to me.

Good morning! Has to feel good your family is going to finish the wheat harvest. Get some free time and rest before cleaning your equipment up and putting it away for the winter. Shortly you will be getting the equipment out to plant the next winter wheat crop. Cycle starts all over again. Have a great time at the fair!😊

I would claim them as my family but they are not. They are LIKE family, for sure. Yes, the planting of the winter wheat crop is next on the to-do list. It will begin in a couple of weeks.

Unbelievable, all those fields have to be sown. How on earth does that work. There is no mention of sowing?
I am astonished by those landscapes.

Hi, Tracy. Thanks for this final day video. Love the metaphorical reference of harvest being much like life. I know tomorrow is the last day... so, I guess yer out there now. Thanks for sharing the truck pull! Fun to watch. Was that one of your truckers who pulled all the way?
Tracy, a heartfelt thanks to you and your efforts to share this harvest with us all. I truly love it all. You and yours will always be in my prayers. Much love and blessings. mb in NYC! 😊

Its a Chevrolet early 40's they stopped that style grill in early 1946. Since the grill was chrome not war time paint my guess is it's a late 45 or early 46 We had a ealry 46 on our farm in the panhandle of Nebraska. I rode with dad hauling hogs to Brush Colorado.

I know which truck you’re talking about. It was just hanging out on the side of the wheat field. It probably quit and there it sits.

The drone shot under the combine auger was spectacular!
It showed all of us just how close the cart driver has to get
to the side of that combine header!
Is there a "connection" between the road coach and the farm?
I have a "vision" of Frankie pulling at the fair next year.....lol

I’m guessing the “road coach” is the bus? Bret purchased it and they have it on the farm just to have fun with.
