Great video, thank you for posting. I thought our Claas Dominator was big in the mid 1970s at 17 FT cut, that one is very nice. P.S. Dad did not take it well if you didn't take a full 17' cut.
Thank you for commenting, I remember thinking our 12 foot cut on a 4 year old NH 1530 was a bit big compared to all the 10 foots kicking about and quite impressive 🤦♂️🤦♂️
No I wouldn’t want to either, but luckily this combine can reverse the rotors, feeder house and header by rocking back and forth until clear , which is pretty handy 👏👏
Thank you, it was gusting around 30 mph so the Air3 gimbal did a great job and I tried to keep below the shelter belt tree line . It meant I couldn’t get the high up panoramic shots I usually like to finish with . Thanks for commenting. 😊👍
The latest macdon type headers are a step change forward for combine output efficiency through. Not only that, at 61’ we can take full advantage of controlled traffic and greatly reduced soil damage from wheelings.
Hi Charles That’s a good point , it’s all getting really techy for the bigger estates who can really get the best out of all this modern kit giving other benefits like controlled traffic working perfectly 😊🚜👍. youtube.com/@andyoldridgefarmingvideos?si=FyzzWT5lvJJ-Pfjo

All that onboard technology, including Sat Nav and they still can't manage a full width cut - missing a couple of feet of cutting on the left side of the header.
Hi James, to be fair there were 3 or 4 guys jumping on the combine who we’re unfamiliar to the machine and doing a rounder or two, the experienced demo driver was right on the money 👍
I'm thinking there must be a hell of a weight in the unloading arm yet it looks like it could be shorter which woukd obviously save strain on where it attaches to the body of the combine? Not claiming to be an expert, just saying what im seeing and others views on it?
I think it’s that length to make the most of “controlled traffic”options on different farms and drill widths. But I know what you mean it will be heavy, but also it has a clever feature where it can turn off one or both tank augers when a trailer is nearly full so the unloading auger is empty of grain when closing and opening. I thought you must be referring to Warter Estates. It still amazes me how far combine out puts have come, when you stand and watch this monster complete a rounder there and back and you see 100 feet of cut stubble it is just an amazing sight 😊
Hi Rick, I asked the same question and apparently it is because it is heavily spring loaded in sections and the jockey wheels that you see running along under the length of the header only need a bit of pressure for the header to lift in the section and allow it to hug the contours of the field. To be fare that is exactly what it did really well while I was filming it. Thanks for watching and hopefully subscribing for many more videos to come.
