Many years ago I happened to ask an American missionary about his ancestors. He was serving in my home town in Spain. He told me that he descended from people that persecuted Joseph Smith. That missionary was a really good missionary. I found his family history very interesting. Joseph Smith would be happy to know that some of the offspring of these very evil men would be faithful LDS.

That is a nice story to hear. Thank you. Many of the persecutors suffered deep regrets for what they did. And some of them suffered physically after it. Several gave their death bed confessions that Joseph Smith was a true prophet of God. That must have left a lasting impression on their descendants who witnessed it.

I remember growing up in the Island wishing one day I will get to see a prophet of God in my own eyes. I went to my first ever General Conference in person and when President Monson walked in I started to crying. I knew right then that He was a truly a prophet of God. I know this to be true because the Holy Ghost testify it to me. Thank you for taking the time to load these history. I’m excited to learn some more. #thanktheeohGodforprophet

Always remember that the title page to the Book of Mormon tells us that this book is a record of the people of Nephi written to the Lamanites who are a remnant of the house of Israel. At the destruction of the Nephites, during a time of great wickedness, this record was sealed up and hidden to come forth to the world once again by way of the gentiles who are the people of European descent who emigrated to America.
You are in part descended from the Nephites. This book is a record of your ancestors who are among the greatest of all the prophets who have ever lived. President Woodruff said you have the birthright, and you stand first in many of the promises of God.
This book was first given to the Gentiles to fulfill this prophecy in the book of Mormon. It was the mission of the Gentiles to bring this book to the natural branches of the tree of Israel. In the next prophecy, the Lamanites will become convinced of the truth of the Book of Mormon, which has already gone forth among them. Then it says the Lamanites shall blossom as the rose, and they will bring to light God's true points of the Gospel, the only Gospel which is in the Lord. They will reveal things which have been hidden since the foundation of the world.
You share this promise with the Lamanites who are all the children of Lehi. The next chapter of Scripture is going to be written about your people, when the time comes that they mature in the Gospel as the gentiles have never been willing to do. Your people will have much favor and power from heaven, and your wisdom and understanding will reach to heaven. But only if you and your people are willing to love the Lord with all your heart and regard not the naysayers in the world, both within and outside the Church who will tell you that none of this is true.

Thank you. I do put some music into my videos, especially the Hymn "The Spirit of God, Like a Fire is Burning." I do not have a professional rendition of it. But people request it, and it is good for people to hear it and even feel the spirit of it when sung with their own voices and not merely heard. The Scriptures say that sacred hymns when sung are a prayer from the heart. Music can alter the very chemistry of our bodies, for better or worse, depending o the type of music we hear.
But if you are referring to injecting modern music into videos, I believe we need Godly music to counteract the modern music we hear. Even if we are turned off at first by these hymns. They can grow on us, even as we were forced to accept modern music.

Nothing untoward actually happened to those indicted for the murder of the Prophet and his brother Hyrum. President Oaks did exhaustive research on the lives of those accused after their acquittal. Here is a list of those accused and what if anything happened in their lives: Mark Aldrich had a totally normal life and died in Tucson in 1874. Jacob Davis was even elected to Congress in 1856 following four terms in Illinois state senate. William Grover practiced law in St Louis, later moved back to Warsaw prosperous and respected. Thomas Sharp served three terms as Mayor of Warsaw. Levi Williams was postmaster and died in 1856. All who served as counsel for the accused killers lived quite successful careers in elected office. Ironically enough, those who met difficulty subsequent to the acquittal were prosecutors, the sheriff, the Judge, and the Governor. The five who went to trial, as well as others involved in the murder plot all enjoyed notably successful careers according to Pres. Dallin H. Oaks and co-author Marvin S. Hill of "Carthage Conspiracy."

If you martyr a true prophet of God, expect to pay a certain price, and a hefty price indeed, especially for martyring the Prophet of the Restoration. These men may not have known fully who they had martyred, but they knew right from wrong I'm sure, and there may be some form of redemption for their souls in eternity, but you had better believe their remaining days in mortality were cursed henceforth from June 27th, 1844 until their dying breaths. If anything, tales like these make any non-believers pause, why did ALL the mobocrats suffer such horrible fates? It's because everything the Prophet Joseph Smith stood for and was called to do to restore the Gospel was true. He was the Lord's prophet, even his martyrdom testifies to and seals the earthly fates of these men.

Still, don't fight against Zion and her prophets, "yea, it shall be unto them, even as unto a hungry man which dreameth and behold he eateth by he awaketh and his soul is empty; or like unto a thirsty man which dreameth and behold he awaketh and behold he is faint and his soul hath appetite. Yes, it is hard not to feel sympathy for them, seeing how badly many of them suffered. Knowing their punishment and suffering, caused the Savior while dying on the cross to ask the Father to forgive them for they know not what they do. Joseph and Hyrum suffered but for a moment. The punishment for these men is eternal. Joseph Smith says the suffering we endure is for our everlasting good. Likewise the punishment these men endure, both in their lives and in the spirit world is for their everlasting good. It brings them to a state of mind to where the work of redemption is possible even for them.
So many times when I have read how so full of hate, cruelty and violence these men were. It always made me mad to read how they avoided any lawful punishment for their crimes. Yet, in reality, none of us will ever escape from a single thing. Sooner or later, each and every one of us, must return to face our sins and give an accounting for them. Every thought and every action is recorded in this short test called life. Like a teacher who grades right and wrong answers on a test, all of our thoughts and actions will likewise be graded as right or wrong. For those precious few who pass the test, will be given endless powers, dominions, glories and knowledge, and become joint heirs with Jesus Christ in all the fullness of the Father's endless kingdoms. For the rest, we will be rewarded according to our works and will become eternal servants. While some shall be forever banished from the earth into outer darkness.

Joseph Smith told the mob they would one day see blood shed to their heart's content.
You should look up General Order #11, issued by the Union army in 1863 to the residents of five counties in western Missouri, including Jackson County. The same county which so violently expelled the Saints in 1834. This Union order did the same thing. Ordering all inhabitants of the county and five other counties to leave. Afterwards their homes were burned to the ground.
"1. All persons living in Jackson, Cass, and Bates counties, Missouri, and in that part of Vernon included in this district, except those living within one mile of the limits of Independence, Hickman's Mills, Pleasant Hill, and Harrisonville, and except those in that part of Kaw Township, Jackson County, north of Brush Creek and west of Big Blue, are hereby ordered to remove from their present places of residence within fifteen days from the date hereof. I am sorry, but you should look at it from my perspective. John Taylor lived for decades after he saw Joseph Smith murdered. And in that time he never spoke ill words of Joseph Smith. He praised Joseph Smith kept his memory sacred until the day he died. Honestly, does this sound like a man who killed him? No it doesn't!
And then 140 years later, someone comes along and says John Taylor killed Joseph Smith. And some people are actually gullible enough to believe it.
Honestly. How else am I supposed to describe it?
Both Joseph Smith and and John Taylor hold a sacred place in my heart. I have studied the sermons of both of them, and I cannot help but feel a little offended and indignant when someone comes along and bears false witness against John Taylor.
There is a reason why bearing false witness against your neighbor is forbidden in the Bible. False accusations are character assassinations. And they can destroy a person just as much as if you physically harmed them. The rules of civilization demand we do not engage in such things, or else civilization will cease to function. You never accuse anyone in such a manner without hard evidence. You just don't do it.
You don't want anyone accusing you falsely. Then why do it to someone else? @@sisknothinbutruth2684

I tell you that I watched a video that appeared accurate, and you call me names and claim I'm threatening the very fabric of society?! Did you watch it? Did you know John Taylor changed his story multiple times and lied about his watch being shot? Even the church says his watch wasn't shot. He was shot with a pistol, not a musket. He didn't go to court to testify against the accused in the mob, and they walked. Forensic evidence (Hyrum's skull) points to your idle being guilty. The Truth will come out. Perhaps it already has. If he's innocent, it will pan out. Society isn't going to crumble over it (unless perhaps certain members of society are still covering for the guilty parties and have more to lose than we know).
I love the voice over work in your video and I appreciate you taking the time to put this together.

I don't know you, but I know what you said here! I have studied these men all my life and to me even though they lived in a different era, Joseph Smith and John Taylor are like mentors to me. Like fathers. I have never read anything John Taylor said that would contradict himself. People always tell stories a little differently about significant events throughout their lives as they remember it and see it through differing perspectives and in differing contexts of the conversation. That is completely normal. It is a well known fact that a witness to a crime will tell a different story to the police vs. a year later when they testify in court. They still remember it. But they remember different details. Lawyers know this and try to work it in their favor. This is how the game is always played. And if you buy into it, this is how people get played.
If someone were to accuse one of your family members of some hideous crime, would you feel indignant about it? If you were a decent human being you would. @@sisknothinbutruth2684

@@jeremyfrisbie239 So what are you then? Are you an atheist? So because you detest the message you attack the messengers by making false accusations against them?
Let's analyze your argument that this verse I quoted to you is false.
In the Bible, in the ten commandments tells us that we are not to bear false witness against our neighbor. These laws have been known since ancient times to preserve and build a civilized society. Our modern form of government is built on it. U.S. Courts used to acknowledge the ten commandments until atheists began declaring they were offended by it.
When you bear false witness against your neighbor you are committing character assasination. This has been known to take a person's life every bit as much as if you committed the act physically. To disobey these laws as led to bitterness, strife, and even wars. And has destroyed civilizations.
This verse I quoted to you basically says if you break God's laws, you are not exempt from justice. It is a fundamentally truthful statement.
There is another higher law of Christ that says you should esteem your neighbor as yourself. By your words you have demonstrated that you are lawless before God.
All of the Twelve Apostles in the Church under Joseph Smith who remained in the Church, never uttered a negative word against Joseph Smith after his death all the rest of their lives. They always spoke of him with praise, love and respect. And they did it many thousands of times spanning half a century. They talked of it daily. There is no possible way such a people could have done what you have accused them of doing. It is not rational to believe such a thing. There are also numerous eye witnesses from the mob, Joseph Smith's sworn enemies who have confessed what they saw and did.
To be so gullible and irrational as to believe what you have accused, shows that your one and only motive for believing it is out of pure hatred, and nothing more. You don't realize or don't care how gullible and irrational you have presented yourself in public.

Neils Lundwall the compiler of this book, went to a lot of trouble to notarize eye witness statements wherever possible to establish it as being true. Of course there are plenty of people both inside and outside the church who make the claim they are false.
But these same people also dispute many of the stories accepted by the early Church.
One prominent example is where Joseph Smith and several early members of the Church talk about the extreme religious rivalries in upstate New York at the time Joseph Smith inquired of the Lord which of the Churches was true. Most opposition Christian groups now claim that wasn't ever true, and they point to a lack of newspaper articles that mention it. But if you visit Palmyra, at one of the main intersections in the town you will see four competing churches with magnificent steeples on each corner of the intersection.
It is like that with every thing in early Mormonism. The groups that dispute the truthfulness of it seem endless. Most people will hear all the anti Mormon stuff first and believe it, and then their minds are forever closed to ever considering it.
It was like that in early Christianity as well. Most people in the ancient world believed every horrible thing ever said about Christians before they ever met one, and they were filled with hate and rage over it.
People are free to believe or disbelieve everything according to the free agency God gave them. God wants us to choose, so we can be judged in the end according to the record of our works and choices both good and bad. Before I made these videos, for years i have shared the content of many of my videos with members of the Church, and I would say the majority of them rejected them and dismissed me as a fool for believing such things.
Like Solomon says, there is no new thing under the sun. There is nothing that happens, that hasn't happened over and over again before.

The men that murdered Joseph and Hyrum wasn't "the mob". It was Willard Richards and John Taylor at the behest of Brigham Young. Curious that the ball lodged in John Taylor's watch is the same caliber as the pistol secretly given to Joseph by Porter Rockwell. According to testimony given in court proceedings the mob outside the jail was about 50 yards away. At that range a 28 caliber ball would not have enough power to force a man back into the building which was Taylor's story. Richards and Taylor stained with Joseph and Hyrum's blood accompanied Brigham to Utah where Willard Richards helped Brigham change church records, documents and journals. John Taylor became the next president of the church Brigham Young usurped.

And for the rest of their lives, every single one of these men never said a negative word against Joseph Smith. In fact, in their tens of thousands of pages of speeches, writings and sermons, they praised the memory of Joseph Smith daily, and truly mourned his loss.
That would not be possible if they really did do what you are accusing them of. But facts are an inconvenient thing for the historically challenged.
The Scriptures say that Lucifer accused the brethren night and day before the Father before he rebelled and fell from heaven. Joseph Smith has been accused night and day ever since his death. That alone tells us all we need to know who is true friends are. Even President Trump is accused of everything under the sun night and day by the legions of haters. The spirit of accusation is from the devil.

They tore down statues and rewrote history.
For decades, the name Jesus Christ has been forbidden in public schools in many western nations. In places like Germany, young people become extremely uncomfortable when the name is mentioned. I am not going to give in to censorship.
Everything you just told me, runs contrary to the principles of free agency and tolerance. To live by every word which proceeds from the mouth of God, found in the book of Mormon and elsewhere. And to not put one's trust in the arm of flesh.

Why relay the story of the old man Brooke (the mobocrat) by way of affidavit? Wouldn't you think the reason to make an affidavit would be to relay a statement that runs counter to current thought of the time? It seems this statement of facts is done as if having a fore-knowledge of future times when the Mormon prophet Joseph Smith is not looked upon with kindness. Whether the rock rolled there, or it was placed there does nothing to verify or falsify the eyewitness accounts of this man Brooks. In many ways the rock is irrelevant to the story.
There were hundreds of men involved in the murder of Joseph Smith. This book does not say that all of them suffered an ill fate. Only the ones that could be found and documented by Lundwall through eye witness accounts were included in his book. Most men in the 19th century lived quiet lives. There was no mass media or facebook to document every detail of their lives. If many more or no more suffered, it is unlikely to be documented outside their own circle of acquaintances.

I would like to point out the following.
It was the Mormon church who attacked Christianity first when Joseph Smith said that "all the churches are wrong and an abomination before God..." (Joseph Smith---History 1:19). For over 193 years the Mormon church has supported their racists doctrine that all blacks are cursed by God. Let me quote from one of your prophets:
"You must not think that I am opposed to slavery. No! The Negro is damned, and is to serve his master till God chooses to remove the curse of Ham..."
    ---prophet Brigham Young
Journal of Discourses, V.2, pp 142-143.
Let's go back in time to September 1857 in which "Mormons" led by John D Lee murdered 120-140 innocent men, women, and CHILDREN of the Baker-Fancher wagon train. Later before his death John D Lee confessed that Brigham Young gave him the order to kill all those innocent people. And to add insult to the victims, the Mormon church names a university after Brigham Young (BYU).
Most recently the Mormon church has settled multi-million dollar sexual assault lawsuits against the Mormon church.
So please, don't stand there thinking you have some kind of "moral high ground" on everyone else. When the Mormon church has caused so much pain and suffering to this day.

Mormons teach that the angel Moroni came down from heaven and gave Joseph Smith the Book of Mormon. Let's hear what God Himself says about this claim in:
      GALATIANS 1:6-9
"I marvel that you are turning away so soon from Him who CALLED you in the grace of Christ, to a different gospel, which is not another; but there are some who trouble you and want to pervert the gospel of Christ. But even if we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel to you than what we have preached to you, let him be accursed. As we have said before, so now I say again, if anyone preaches any other gospel to you than what you have received, let him be accursed..."
There you are, God telling you that He did not send any angel from heaven to Joseph Smith.
So who would you rather believe?
      A. God Himself to lead you through life.
