You spoke to my mother many years ago. My friend and myself have a boat built in the eighties in triabunna. It is 40 foot huon pine. It would be nice to catch up😊
Thank-you for sharing this much of my childhood was spent on the bay and many many times my father took us to Queensliff to catch up with the old blokes. All my Uncles were Professional Fisherman out of Werribee, including my Dad for some time. Lewi Ferrier what a character and in his bare feet that's just how l remember him, mending gear or making pots behind his house...whilst l held a license it wasn't for me all those long early mornings challenging hard work, was easier to work on the railway where up and till recently l still was...I owned the Lizzie a double ended net boat now restored and sailed by Stephen Comben...again thank-you l really do love your vlogs they are awesome..regards Doc...PS l was also to my fathers horror a Fisheries Inspector ...now that's a story of a great Department all on its own. Again thank you
Gary Wilts was one of my mates great to see him in his newhaven shed with his model boats. I did a trip with Bill Mitchell out of a creek in corner inlet with his daughters husband round the prom, we threw out the old wooden couta lures for old times sakes and bought home a boxfull. He lived a great life, was a loving father and friend to many. Hated the commys and the freemasons. RIP wilts.
