  • Lewis Ferrier was the last of the old 'couta fisherman at Queenscliff, Victoria. The youngest of 17 children he speaks of fishing, tragedy in the family, bravery, lifeboats and shipwrecks.

    I knew this man extremely well My sister and I spent our holidays at Queenscliff for many years and I’m glad I had the opportunity to become friends with such an amazing man back then he used to live on Beach Street he also used to sell fish out of the back of his car in the local caravan park early in the morning last time I got to see him Was back in 2016 With my boys Then less than a year later in 2017 Queenscliff lost a legend he was 90 years old rest in peace old friend
