Fun note: The dragon fight before unmoored world nets you 100 WLC so it's worth doing at least once. Doing it more than once before finally moving on to unmoored world does not get you any more crystals though ;)
Well you have to do it at least once. Game doesn't let you use the godsway the first flight. And honestly i'm not so sure you can use it the second time either. Wouldn't let me anyway 🤷♂️
A nice easter egg is if there are pawns you used frequently in your first playthrough then in your second one they will comment on how they "Knew you wouldn't leave this world". Pretty crazy.
It's also very important to NOT tackle the last beam when it appears if there's anything else you want to do in the unmoored world. Wish I'd known that one.
Yup. Looked at 6 guides 3 mentioned it, 1 reminded that bringing the Talos statue back to life nets you a few cutscenes and you dont have to do anything else to stop the mist there. Also the sheer amount of Ferrystones on the sea bed areas. Nor did any of em mention that all your Port crystals will return to your storage inventory (including ones that disappeared or fell through the map.) Basically the guides all suck. Gotta watch 4 of em plus a few written guides to get the full guide story
Just saw someone show that the seaway shrine in the unmoored world appears to be gran soren from the first game. Or at least based off it. They did a comparison and it lines up really well
Oh it absolutely is. In fact, in the endgame, when you get to the weird dragon in the arena-like building, I'm 95% sure those are the ruins of Bluemoon Tower.
@@ofnir123 The "Arena/Everfall" yes. Bluemoon tower is where the griffin chased you to the top and you fought a wyvern later. That´s more than a day of just running away.

Might be why they made it that way cause i noticed discipline to take a lot longer level than ddda. Enough of my yapping great video!
You can also talk to the ghost guy twice in the end. This will teleport you back in time to the back of the dragon, if you choose to slay the dragon first
weird, in the original game port cystals would stay where you placed them when you enter new game plus. the only restriction was that you have to get to the capital to unlock the feature again in each playthrough. if you have a port crystal in a location that will get a permanent one in the endgame and it's in the wrong place, some locations will glitch them out of existence to replace them with the permanent ones so be careful. know where they will spawn and either remove the crystals you have set in those areas, so you have them in inventory or storage, or place them near but not actually in those locations so both are guaranteed to exist at once.

Because if you remember in the first game( if you played it). They added the extra experience and difficulty in Hard mode. Not to even mention the DLC.
@@claytonbittner5490 you would think, learning from the 1st game it would just be something implemented, without DLC, but ig they gotta make they money right?
They don’t wanna make the game hard for everyone, some people just want to enjoy the game. Not everyone wants to play dark souls(Hard Mode) like me and you guys.
@JaquaYoung OH, I agree wholeheartedly they should have added the hard mode at least, but I know DLC will come in time. I'm not expecting it to come out as soon as the game launches.
Yeah I'm pretty much at endgame and I really realize I messed up so many quests that I should have done away earlier that I can't do anymore I can't get the spellbound quest I can't get the mastery for a bunch of things so I'm just going to finish up and try to do a new game plus play through and do things correctly this time
So to correct mis-information a bit: The end gear/weapons are strictly unlocked when you GET the unmoored world, to which is when the Dragonforge vendor allow you to firstly buy some with crystals from drakes you can go around killing in the normal world and unmoored one. They do not completely first unlock from just new game plus. Other than that, your information is correct. P.S. There is extreme loot that is locked to ONLY the unmoored world as well, so once saving everyone, it's best for all players to explore and be sure to do all you can, just do not rest 12 times or you will get the failed version of things.
I didnt watch any guide videos on the game my first playthrough and I beat the game without getting "true ending" and I can tell you one getting to ng+ the weapons and armor were unlocked.
@@thegraydirewolf9325 so you had the endgame weapons unlocked from the dragonsforge without going to the unmoored world? i just wanna confirm this because i am kinda on edge of either doing ng+ or going directly into the unmoored world
There are only a few things that are limited to the endgame, which seems to be that every vocation has a secret helm to go with the new armor and some also found some assassins pants, still exploring btw. The stuff in the stores will continue to ng+ tho
@Shadow11550 I never went to that weird looking red world but after going back to vendor the dragon weapons and armor were available at that vendor. Keep in mind I've still never been to that red world working on getting there today though.
“Best armor in the game” An irrelevant phrase, as the “best armor” is in reality simply the armor combination you like the look of best. You dont really need to have the armor with the highest possible stats because youre already going to be strong enough to beat pretty much anything anyway by the time you reach lvl 50, no matter what youre wearing.
I'm assuming there's a trophy for seeing all endings. So ..bad ending first. Walk away. Then normal. Fight it and talk to robed guy to return in time. Then secret ending by stabbing yourself...got it
Another tip, before you do the evacuations make sure you do all your dwarven smithing. You can still do elvish smithing for some reason but the (2) blacksmiths that can do dwarven no longer work once moved.
Interesting note on NG+ The Seeker Stones don't respawn and you keep your progress in that. Might be interesting regarding the Sphinx. I don't know if the finder stone will be placed to the first Stone I found in NG+ or the first one I found in the first playthrough.
@@TheTechDwelleri can confirm it gets replaced with the first one you find in NG+. i just did the quest in ng+ the other day since i couldn’t find it in my first and my “first”token was in battal. i’m assuming if you end up collecting them all it just defaults to whatever the last “first” token was.
First seeker token resets in NG+. If you've found all 240 seekers tokens, the finder's token spawns near the sphinx altar. If you haven't found a seekers token yet, you can find a finder's token next to any seekers token. The devs thought of everything 😂
I heard that after level 200 there are no more stat increases. Max level is 999, but after 200 it seems pretty pointless unless you want to watch stat numbers go up. I wonder if one hits max level 999 does it tun into the infinite symbol liek hitting max level of 200 in Dragon's Dogma Dark Arisen?
The only thing that has to happen in order for the mist to stop spreading is that every read beam must be activated besides the last one that shows up at the shrine. It's is a common misconception that Talos has anything to do with this. Talos only helps you take out a couple of the big monsters, therefore shortening the amount of beams you have to do. But even if he doesn't, you can still stop the mist. Also, the only thing that will progress the mist is resting, therefore you could theoretically not do a single beam and as long as you don't rest the mist will not progress.
0:16...after I got the good ending...and saw this asking me 4 times to confirm with NG+...I knew I missed something...good thing I backed out and didn't start a new one...
So to start the red underworld stab yourself close to the dragons heart ? Wish I new this yesterday, I was walking round that throne room with the credits rolling like wtf
@@FreakinFlameGaming that’s why I finished it to get to new game plus, failed the sphinx quest and never got grimoire copies for the sorcerer special power
the fact that they return your port crystals in this game is just.... what were they thinking? the first game kept them in place. this one is like "nah bro"...
Its important to know that the game is designed to allow you to do all endings in one go and then finally roll into NG+ after going to the onmoorne world. Just make sure that stabbing the dragon is the last you do.
Wish i would have known i could get both endings, but i chose to use the blade on dragons first, and well, it looks like I'll have to do the other ending on ng+
Correction: Time does not pass in the Unmoored World, as long as you don't rest, you can stay there as long as you like. Once you've used up all 12 rests, you can technically still explore the world but without resting, enemies will no longer respawn.
@@chasekeylime9717 you can even check your sun dial, it never moves. There is no day or night and the "Day" only progresses when you rest. As long as you don't rest you can clear the entire map, rest to progress to the next day and repeat.
@@chasekeylime9717 Na fam you wrong. Your pawns even say, "Time moves differenthere" or "The fog has stopped moving in!" on top of that your sun dial never moves and day/night cycle never change.
Correction, time passes. I have the clock mod and can confirm, even the world looks a bit different, just a bit, taking in count that it's still red. But it will always stop at 11:59 pm
This is why I was and still confused about those complaining about micro transactions, like did DD2 players not get $70 worth of content in their base game?
"even on your first playthrough you can immediately go to the endgame." You misspoke. That line would mean that you can start a game, then immediately bypass the entirety of the game to proceed to the end of the game.
Well i haven't gotten into the unmoored world yet cos im starting to find the finders token which is bloody annoying and i wish capcom wouldn't give us a time limit in that world dd1 didn't so why put one in dd2 but when i do eventually go into the unmoored world i think im just going to go after the red beams first considering their the threat in the unmoored world im at level 233 so i know I'll survive easier plus my pawn is a sorcerer with the meteor spell and tornado spell so that should help me i wish i knew how someone could gift me a finders token
The end game would be so much better if it wasn't time gated. It's such a cool concept but it makes me not even want to play it at all after beating it once.
@@victorhugo-rf7py you're allowed 12 sleeps. Honestly between allheal elixers and wakestones, the rests just serve as triggers to respawn mobs. I cleared the entire unmoored map before I took my first nap to save my progress. Now I'm out looking for more gore chimeras and lesser dragons to hopefully respawn. Really the only thing to do for me before I trigger the final cut scene.
Dragonforged lets you reset a weapon back to it's un-upgraded state, which is handy if for example you've upgraded your magic bow anywhere else other than the Elven village and now want to get the maximum out of it. It would have been nice to be able to do that in the 1st playthrough too.
You can just re buy the weapon I reset my dead ringer because I accidentally upgraded it in vernmund rather than volcanic which btw ifls the same tier as battahl..So do battahl 3x enhancement then dragon lord before ng+
Also the stat buffs who do they work if you already maxed out every vocation and which locations automatically have a port crystal and which should we place one
I'm not trying to gatekeep anything but... they didn't have that in the first game and I doubt it'll be added. That's just not really the aesthetic they go for.
6:12 in the video, I don't have a beacon at that location and i am wondering why, I've seen other peoples videos about the unmoored world but none mention that there is a beacon next to excavation site only at the other places
Wait what about the equipment on your inventory and your pawns should we put everything in storage before finishing the game?for example I burned two days farming dragon crystals and can’t fit al of it in my inventory so my pawn has hundreds of them including other things
So no new enemies, no new variations... not even stats variation like in Monster Hunter World where you fight low rank monster, and then high rank/tempered/master? Not even new changes in enemies spawn points, or the same copy-pasta caverns having different layouts? Not even one single variation of a larger monster? So it's truly 2011 all over again... I was 10 hours deep into NG+ and was trying to get some copium at the idea that I will eventually find something substantially different, be it simply a different scaling in monsters stats at Batthal. But this video confirms it. The game already stopped being difficult once you reached lvl 20-ish and the challenge became non-existent at lvl 30. And you're telling me that NG+ is simply a godlike mod where you one shot everything... Guess I'll just download one of those difficulty mod and restart a new game along with the loot-randomizer mod. Thank you to the modding community for doing Capcom's job.
Honestly the only reason why I’m playing NG+ is because I wanted to take my time and explore the world and caves while finishing up quest I missed the first time. So far just in the first area I’ve already found like 5-6 quest I completely missed. Maybe the enemy challenge isn’t there, but the story element is still intriguing to me. And I honestly am enjoying just taking time with my group this time while walking around. I honestly would enjoy the things you mentioned to spice it up for sure
Yeah it's sadly 10 years ago. Barely any Evolution in the game. I still like it, because I liked what I played 10 years ago, bu lt considering price and the time they could make stuff better, makes it a joke
Yeah, I got the plat to prove to myself and others that this game is the biggest letdown, and it's true. If it was 40 dollars, then there wouldn't be a complaint from me.
Captaim brant and phasius will ask for your help. This was after all towns were evacuated. I declined thinking i could come back and do them but i was wrong. The dead ass walk away. So avoid them if you are not ready.
My friend told me about the endgame so I’ve been farming up wyrm crystals by killing dragons and then waiting a few days for them to respawn. I now have 250 plus wyrm crystals so right when I drop in I can buy the gear I want. I’m stopping at 400.
Same, i stopped at around 500WLC and went into the UnMoored World, i got all the weapons that i wanted (Magick Bow, Archer Bow, Sorcerer Staff...), i wanted to buy armor for myself and my Sorcerer Pawn, but most Dragonforged armors look kinda ugly in my opinion... SO i'll probably look for the other Free armor pieces in the UnMoored world and start NG+ soon after.
@@galacticfirefly6060 I’ll have to see them for myself. I got one more midterm and one more report and one more shift of work before I go on sping break but I’m definitely planning on getting to NG+ soon and getting to the unmoored world so I can explore and buy all the armor.
I may be smooth braining here but, you have 12 in game days to re-explore the map, evacuate all the cities, kill 5 bosses across the world, and hopefully have time to see/do everything...? Sounds rough. Am I over thinking this?
What I got from the vid is after killing the 4 bosses the timer stops, and you can explore the world with unlimited time. When you are ready then you face the final boss. Idk I just got here too
Do i need all city to evacuate for Ng+? I didn't see anyone on excavation site and elves didn't give me the branch... I did the last beam and didn't get the ng option
While I'm enjoying my time in this game, im still feel disappointed. 1. The world fee,s much smaller compared to other game like the witcher. 2. Enemy variety is quite bad 3. The sidequest is boring 4. Main quest is not engaging. If they make the world map bigger with more enemy variety, the game is worth the price, but at current price, better wait for a discount
The map, and actual travel speed is all an illusion. The map makes things seem bigger than it actually is, meanwhile actually traveling it you clear a decent bit
I’ve completed all the Unmoored quest saved everyone and got the Guardian and Hero achievement but when I place my Godsbane into the last beacon at the Sea Floor Shrine, I’m taking to the main dragon where I’m knocked off his back, then get a option to restart unmoored from beginning or 5 days earlier. No option to restart game with all my equipment and items. Am I doing something wrong?
The final sequence is you climbing the massive dragon and there's a point on it's neck/ head you should be going to. It's a bit of a hype building journey to it.
@@NoblessObligee ok thank you and I’m playing the unmoored parts again so hopefully I can make it to part where I have the option to play new game plus. Thank you again and enjoy your day.

I'd like to warn anyone that doesn't know that after you get the final credit CS after you're done and going to newgame+ your pawn is automatically infected with dragon plaque, and to cleanse it you have to require your pawn and reupload it in the newgame. This only applies to the "true" ending.

Idea: Add a DLC with a new map and storyline where the arisen has to travel to the east where they can learn some eastern themed vocations and get eastern themed weapons and armor. It doesn’t need to be full on Asian culture, but maybe a hybrid mix between eastern and western.
So where is the loot found in the unmoored world? I know that most of it seems tied to the water areas, but that was mostly just armoes, are there any new bosses in the old dungeons that you can do for some sweet weapon loot?
just mod it in... plenty of mod managers out there to cheat items in, just dont abuse em and take the fun outta the grind... but ye for these kinda things, they be helpfull

Unmoored world drops a crap ton of riftstones doing a single run on mostly the water areas ended up with about 80 of them, there is also a bit of wakestones but not that high to amass 200 easilly, you can also use the thief class as you sometimes can steal both of these items too.
So just to be sure.. once I have done the 4 main red beacons (within the 12 in game day time limit) I have as much time as I want to explore and evacuate npcs? Then once I have spent as much time as I want go to the last red beacon at the shrine to end the game?
@@rickdogg8820 I was under the impression that time would stop if I did the red beacons first so I did them all immediately. I believe the red mist will not progress if you do not rest at all though. You cannot respawn enemies without resting though and you cannot forge materials so if you truly want to explore everything 100%, I believe that you can as long as you DO NOT REST.
dragon forge giving you the best gear is not 100% true, there is a lot of armor in the endgame somebody can only obtain via looting and its best in slot.

@@claytonbittner5490 you would think, learning from the 1st game it would just be something implemented, without DLC, but ig they gotta make they money right?
They don’t wanna make the game hard for everyone, some people just want to enjoy the game. Not everyone wants to play dark souls(Hard Mode) like me and you guys.
after beating the game you just wanna feel invincible, it's a good feeling, better than being level 70 or something and struggling
@JaquaYoung OH, I agree wholeheartedly they should have added the hard mode at least, but I know DLC will come in time. I'm not expecting it to come out as soon as the game launches.
Me viewing how do u start ng+ without playing postgame: 💀
Finally...been waiting on a ng+ video from you guys for a while
Awesome!
Everything was unlocked for me after my first playthrough. I never went to unmoored until my second playthrough. I'm currently on my 7th playthrough.
“Best armor in the game”
An irrelevant phrase, as the “best armor” is in reality simply the armor combination you like the look of best. You dont really need to have the armor with the highest possible stats because youre already going to be strong enough to beat pretty much anything anyway by the time you reach lvl 50, no matter what youre wearing.
right its all about just collecting them so you can come up with different fashion sets.

It also seems the skeletal mages drop farry stones quite often to
Another tip, before you do the evacuations make sure you do all your dwarven smithing. You can still do elvish smithing for some reason but the (2) blacksmiths that can do dwarven no longer work once moved.

Interesting note on NG+
The Seeker Stones don't respawn and you keep your progress in that.

Dont you also have to do the Atlas cutscene to completely stop the red mist from spreading?
YESSSSS, that is what many players missed xd, u can spend infinite time in the Unmoored World
The only thing that has to happen in order for the mist to stop spreading is that every read beam must be activated besides the last one that shows up at the shrine.

The end game would be so much better if it wasn't time gated. It's such a cool concept but it makes me not even want to play it at all after beating it once.

@@nicholasalexander9866 god of war 2018, ghost of Tsushima and re4 are the first to come to mind. Hell even starfield has a better ng+. The biggest problem with dd2 is that the enemies don’t scale so it’s quite boring to demolish every enemy. The ng+ adds cool features like upgrading vocations but you may might as well start a new play-through on dd2 if you want at least a small challenge
@@nicholasalexander9866gow, Elden ring, ghost of Tsushima, re4 are all pretty good. Dd2 adds new elements like upgrading vocations but the difficulty is not scaled and imo that’s the most important thing. Dd2 ng+ is a snoozefest because of how easy it is
It's a waste except for of you want to level up vocations which you can in your current game mode or the other side missions which I found out gives you terrible rewards lol
does seeker tokens carry over
yes.
