I just took a pair of DJ Crawlers they kind of look like hirax but they're super meaty and skinnier clean I kind of done my own thing with them by clean the sidewall up trimmed all the lugs cut the outside lug into like a little bit of a corner shade and man did they ever perform really well the only thing I don't like is put them on 1.3 I just feel like it raises the truck up so much

Without spending any more money than necessary, I can always throw the scramblers right back on this thing and be happy with performance and looks. I think with some good break in and shaving down the ribs inside on the sidewalls, these will tune right up. I've got a feeling these were for the TRX4M and made to support a ton of brass.

This thing is awesome all around. I really like this truck. I like them all! But I'd 100% daily drive this irl.

Hell yeah, looking good! Got the TrailBurners on my LGRP Ripper. Good looking tires. Need to run em more. Think I put Lil Nova micro foams in them.

Thanks! I definitely got them based on looks also thinking they'd be little softer. Inner sidewall is ribbed so may take those down a little and tune them. I have US Forest service decals to go on one of these days. Just now added my #6 bare copper wire weights inside, too. Should be much better.

These aren't bad. I just added more wheel weight and switched foams. That will help.

@@VermontScaleCustoms :) Oh Good. Yeah i think if i have enough left. Metal bead lock rims an some Tires with Brass Extensions. Run it till something gives out. I really hope they still have the Gladiator or Jlu jeep. I don't want another truck yet. Deadbolt would even be cool to cut the body up and make it look like a buggy Hahahahahahaha . He said they should get more before the first so We will see. I figure i can get a body collection going for one rig. Oh i seen a Toy Military Hummer with Gun on top at walmart. if the sizing is right it might fit on the wpl.

Nice! I needed this video, thank you, it was a long day.
So, those tires, i was looking at those when deciding.
They seem good, they don't seem to bounce, and they have edge-grip. I'll be expanding my tire wrack.
Mazz just listed some double bend links, they are good price i think.
How much do those bodies weigh?
I know I'll end up getting one at some point, trying to have more interchangeable bodies.. just change of dress depending on occasion.
Oh, you vent between the tread? Is there any benefit to a vented wheel over vented tire?
Thanks for the drive and chat!
    Always great insights.

Sorry about the long day. Glad the video helps! Thanks!
They're made with ribbing inside that runs perpendicular to the bead.
It makes them stiff but I think if they were shaved down it would soften them up a lot.
I added more wheel weight and switched foams. Haven't driven it yet. Definitely feels better. Way more planted.
Definitely good corner/edge traction and center traction is good on some stuff. Haven't tried them on enough surfaces to say otherwise.
It's why I'm not giving up on them just because of a slightly stiff sidewall. I can fix that.
I should really get into making some curved links. But I am terrible at being in business for myself despite my formal education in said subject. It's not like I don't have endless time to work on stuff as a caregiver! Win.
Clueless on the weight of the body. Despite having two scales right in front of me I never weighed it. How's HEAVY sound? With all the stuff that's needed to mount it, magnets, it adds up to be quite a lot. This one now clocks in at 563 grams, total - with battery, if that's anything to help you gage.
Yes, I was reluctant to vent tires in the past. I do it now because everything happens much faster at this scale. I also very rarely run in water with these little trucks.
Another good tire I just got is an OttSix KLR clone from Injora called the Crawler Master All Terrain M/T. Equally as much traction as their full size original counterpart.
As always, thanks for watching and for the questions.

@@VermontScaleCustoms it's good for me to get the weight of various rigs.
Of course, people have their ideas on what is best. I try to stay under 500g, but i assume with a heavy body it would be hard to keep the weight down because i would end up putting some extra weight low to make up for the body.
I'm still figuring out which i prefer the most, light weight, medium, heavy.
Probably best to try to appreciate it all.
If you have the shop space, experience, and time.. just do it for the love of the build, and helping fellow enthusiasts out.. 😁
