Tough and Corrosion Resistant
Our #1110 Vinyl Ester resin is formulated for maximum corrosion resistance to most fuels, vapors, and both acidic and basic chemicals. It is also heat resistant and blended for toughness. These qualities make it perfect for repairing tank linings, blistering boat hulls, as well as fabricating tough all-around parts. The properties of this resin allow it to withstand impacts and repeated flexing without developing cracks.
#1110 has a low viscosity, making it perfect for resin infusion applications. It can also be used for hand lay-up or spray applications that require excellent corrosion resistance, impact strength, and tensile elongation.
Shelf Life Limited to 3 months. (Hetron 922)
This resin is formulated for 1.25% MEKP catalyzation. #1110 can be purchased alone or as part of a Resin and Hardener Kit.
1110/69-F kit contains (1) QUART RESIN, (1) 69-A.
1110/69-A kit contains (1) GAL RESIN, (2) 69-A.
1110/69-AK kit contains (4) GAL RESIN, (8) 69-A.

Hi I live in NY and have an area on the side of my boat that needs fiberglass work, about 3 ft and 3 inch wide layup. I can put heaters on the area. How long will it take to cure completely? Asking so that maybe I'll buy vinyl ester resin instead of epoxy if it will cure faster.
Can you laminate with this or do you need a resin w/o wax?

Can i use vinyl ester resin for chopped strand mats? I was told i cant use epoxy but vinyl ester resin is between epoxy and poly ester. Something about a bonding agent that does not dissolve in the mats.

What type of resin would you recommend if the fiberglass is going to have a foam core? I believe the foam is either EPP or EPO, but I don't remember offhand.
sir ,how to know how much amount of catalyst should be added to the resin so that it does not becomes like jelly easily and doesnot solidifies fast ??
If catalyzed at the appropriate ratio (1.25%) it will offer you a pot life of 20-30 minutes at normal room temperature.

sir, one more thing, can i apply epoxy resin over polyester resin for waterproof concrete surface expose to sunlight and under tiled areas like toilets..
You can put Polly over both Polly and vinyl but can’t go over epoxy. Epoxy to epoxy only

You are correct for the hardener to resin ratio, for 100 g of Vinyl ester, you'll want 1.25 g of hardener.

Hi Steve, our vinyl ester resin is meant to be used in a composite setup with a reinforcement fabric such as fiberglass as well.

Yes you can. But you will need to scuff up the surface of the existing vinyl ester resin in order for it to adhere properly.
Fibre Glast sir, yesterday i finished first coat over concrete and lay fibre glass mat over it and i apply 2 second coat over this mat with vinyl resin .but i am not satisfy with this finish with in two or three days i can apply polyester resin over it hope that it will work out

Hello, this is Adam with Fibre Glast. This resin is best suited for creating composites infused with fiberglass, carbon fiber, or Kevlar. It is not a casting resin.

@@fibreglast i am trying to build a miniature combustion engine for an "art" project. it should be functional therefore it requires a casting material that can withstand 100+°C. the metal powder adds the texture. does such a resin exist?
@@flow-2606 unfortunately we don't carry a casting resin designed to handle those types of stresses.
