Hey DBB, I just found your channel because I saw you got a couple of Edge Rods👍 I bought my first Edge rod in 2017 and since then I’ve bought 5 more and my first order was the Delta LMX 754 and they said it would be 5 weeks to build and ship and it was on schedule 👍and it’s a 7’5” MedHvy glass composite. Edge has several lines from the Delta,EFX Pro, First Strike, Black Widow, and Silver Widow. I have 2 Delta rods($169) and 4 EFX Pros and I have never had to pay shipping, but they have an excise tax $20
I love all of them,even those it took time to get used to my first Delta because it was glass composite. Gary has 4 separate companies in Washington State that build blanks for rod builders, and the carbon fiber handles, and Edge rods, and then some parts for aerospace. I have never had any issues with Edge, and once someone stepped on my rod and bent the guide, and I called and they shipped me a replacement free. I hope you enjoy your rods as much as I have enjoyed mine. I have 2 of the MBR rods and all of my Edge rods are versatile and have never let me down.

@@Jessica37323 yeah I was calling to cancel my order but I gave them the chance to make it up and they did. I had to switch to a different model but it was a good choice

Mine just showed up today, I bought 3 during the birthday sale on May 15th. I talked pretty extensively with a guy who had like 15 of their rods about them and which models to get before buying. He warned me that it would likely take a few months for my rods to get here so I knew what to expect. I emailed them 3 times for updates, each time I got an email back within an hour. Haven’t fished them yet. The sale got shared on Reddit and from what I heard they got stretched way too thin with how many people ordered.
Yeah I shared it as well. I just didn’t know they were that far behind because they never emailed an update or anything so I would know what to expect and didn’t return my first two calls. The rods are kinda mid kinda level but I guess with the sale the price was fair.
@@dbbfishing2528 The fit and finish and overall quality on mine is like a 9.5 out of 10. I haven't gotten the chance to fish them yet. I got 2 Blackwidows and 1 Delta. The BW DSR is super impressive, very light, and the balance is real nice. The Delta i guess got reworked sometime after I ordered cause it looks completely different than what they show on their site, and they now have Fuji reel seats.

Hope you enjoy the rod. I called Edge 2 years ago to ask a couple of questions and to buy rods. Never heard back. Called a year later. Left message again, no return call. Anyway, i wound up purchasing 2 poison ultimas. Couldnt be happier.Got a spinning and baitcaster. Love em both(even eith the crappy warrantee). The most sensitive rods in my arsenal and a lot of fun to fish with. Eventually i might try an Edge, being a huge Gary Loomis fan. Thats if they ever get back to me. Lol.

I will say this, I do understand that they do take a while but my fishing friends! PLEASE try to find someone who’s kind of an “ambassador” I would say and they usually have quite a bit in stock! I understand we don’t like to wait as fisherman… however the quality is worth it I assure you I live on lake fork and I have YET TO MISS A bite it’s so darn sensitive!! Once again I’ve been using them for a while and I can’t be more happy and satisfied with what my money could buy at an affordable price!

I have multiple EDGE rods, around 10 at this point. I have their BFS rod on order but it hasn’t shipped yet. Their customer service has been spot on for me. I asked a ton of questions about a few of their rods & I had two rods that arrived to my door in a tube bent nearly in half. They replaced them without hesitation. That threaded section at the top is a first for me. My other rods have an additional part above that thread to hold the reel on or it’s elongated in some way to cover the threads. They also just updated the Delta lineup. I wonder how that will look and feel.
@@dragngt yeah these were different from the pictures. They said they went to different handles so either I got the older ones or the new ones but it wasn’t made clear when I talked to them but the threads were at least rounded over .
Terrible customer service, that kind of thing would put me off that company forever. It's like when you go to a restaurant and get ignored. I just walk...

Edge rods are nothing special in my opinion and the customer service as well as dealing with the company has turned me off completely.I ended up buying from Japan and got my stuff in 4-5 days every time. Much smoother experience and the quality is second to none.
You’re right! I’ll only get JDM unless it’s from IRod Matt always does me right! But I’m really liking all my Megabass rods!

Yes it is a very nice rod for the price. My only gripe is I wish the handle was a little shorter but that’s a personal preference of mine. What price point are you trying to stay around? I what reel are you planning on pairing with it? I’ve been on Reddit a lot as well trying to answer questions.
