Thank you, you saved my sanity. I am a woman in my 70s . Bought this lawnmore today and although it is not complicated I did struggle assembeling it. I found the mountains of paperwork and the diagram not to be of much help to me, as I could not figure out how to set height of the blade. Found you on RUclips and all my problems solved I have now cut the grass and having a well earned cup of tea. You are a gent, thank you.
Not only the mulcher, but figuring out how to do grass height raise from the instructions would have taken me forever as well. Thank you for the video.
Thank you so much for this video. You showed exactly what I needed to know, especially the way to use the clamp thingies on the mower's handle. The owner's manual was less than helpful in that regard and I watched a couple of other videos that frustratingly skimmed right over how to fasten them. I am a little old lady who needs DETAILS and you provided them! :)
Thank You for the video, I put my mower together with little to no problem. I couldn't figure out why the grass wasn't going in the bag, now i know don't use the mulcher cutter. I like to use mine on 2 for a close cut. This lawn mower is very good for a female because its not too heavy and it pushes easy on the grass.
Thank you so much for this video! I read the instructions but I obviously don’t know how to follow them. You deserve a coffee for sure! Sending one your way!
I just bought one last week, i'm very satisfied with it. My mom bought one last year, that's how I knew it was a decent lawn mower. thx for posting this video
Thank you so much for the video. As the previous comment mentions.....I was not sure how to lower the blade. I have never had to worry about cutting the lawn before but I am on my own now and find everything a bit overwhelming so again, I appreciate your informative video.
I bought one this last winter and have used it about four times so far. I love it. We have about a 1/4 acre of mowable grass, and one charge works just fine. I empty the bag about four times during a complete mow. I am very pleased with this purchase. My "deal" from Amazon included a Greenworks weed eater that works with the same batteries...but...the weedeater BLOWS. Don't like it nearly as much as the B&D it replaced. Great mower, though!
@@Turbo231 And, beyond being on the heavy side, the spools of cutting string tend to bind and knot, in mid-use, causing a lot of waste. Also, my model, at least, is not self-feeding, so, there are a lot of opportunities to take off the cover and feed string through the hole. Big fun! The Black and Decker was MUCH better, and lighter, as well as self-feeding AND infinitely more reliable.
I clicked on a tutorial on the lawnmower, and ended up getting distracted from the beautiful Siamese Cat in the background in the beginning. Such a beautiful kitty lol
Thanks for the video, I was unsure how to get the Mulch Plug out until your video, because the manual does not tell you to "squeeze" the sides! Thanks!
Thank you for the great video!! I couldn't figure out how the blade height adjustment worked, it was a total mystery until I saw your video. You explained everything clear and concise, especially "take your cat out of the bag", that was funny.

Thank you for showing all the details! I was having a hard time getting the mower to raise, and I was also super confused when it told me to take the mulching thing out and then put it right back in, lol. (I figured out it was showing bag vs mulch) I’ve never mowed before and now I feel confident that it’ll go better than if I hadn’t watched your video. :)

Thank you. My mulcher fell off but I didn't know what it was. Couldn't find manual online or in my files. I'm going out now to press the thingy to get it to fit now. Wish me luck.
Took delivery of mine yesterday - read the manual - mostly made sense except there were a few details glossed over - mostly common sense would get you through it - but when it came to 'moving the handle up and down' to adjust the height of the blade, while pressing your thumb on the white button - well, to me 'handle' means the handlebars of the mower - could not see any connection between that and setting the height. The video, at about minute 5.2 made it all clear - the thing the white button lives on I would call a 'bar' not a handle. When I saw a real live guy move IT, my problem was solved. I pressed the white thumb and moved the bar and presto, the deck lifted. Battery had been fully charged earlier in the day. Lovely sunny windy day - mowed for close on an hour (didn't exactly time it) and then it just stopped when it ran out of juice. By contrast with the gas powered mower where you had to dislocate your shoulder to yank on that pull-cord, and then the weight and stench of it, this is a dream. It's my new favourite toy. (and in a few weeks when I get my solar panels installed the battery will be charged via the sun (and some smart tech). THANKS so much for the video - it saved my relationship with this new machine.
Very clear and concise review. One can operate the mower after watching your video. I have not seen anywhere the explanation for the 1 2 3 4 5 scale on the LHS of the mower. What is it for?
@@Turbo231 Thank you for the prompt response and for the enlightening video. If I may make a suggestion for the other viewers. Used a new 16". Think they are ok, if the grass is not too high, but I prefer a gas powered lawn mower. With the electric, on occasion, had to go over the same spot twice. Just a lot more power w/gas. The cut is cleaner. Electric is a very simple machine, but only in special circumstances. Wonder if the rotation of the blade on an electric mower is slower, so that, the battery will last longer?
I think an electric needs to be sharp, it won't blunt force grass cutting. We haven't had any issues with our mower in terms of having to go over grass twice.
Dealer’s choice. I am good at catching on things, so I put the hooks on the inside. I only really fold the handle twice a year, once putting it into storage and once taking it out.
Yes, it’s a pretty nice push mower. Grass length affects battery life, so trim off a bit and it’s an easy, 45 minutes to an hour. Really thick and/or wet, more towards the 30 minute side.

I don’t like the single heigh adjustment I like my front axel at 3”. And rear at 2” Sort of a double cut. And it works better for mulching leaves that way also. Other than hay not bad if you have a small area to mow.
Sure. The 3 ways this mower can mow is 1) Mulching by chopping the grass clippings so fine they decompose quickly 2) Bag mowing where you take the clippings and either get rid of them or put them in your compost pile as a source of nitrogen, and 3) Discharge mowing where it takes the regular clippings and spreads them out the back. Remove the plug but let the back plate go down to achieve this (not covered in video).
They turn like a regular screw, so turn them until they make contact, then back them up and engage the cam. If it’s too hard, back it off a bit more and try again.
How long does the battery last? Will it work on a 1,400 SQ Property like I have? Usually it takes me half hour to do the front and half hour to do the back. Total of 60 mins. Will it last that long?

The mower has 2 options, bagging and mowing. With the bag on, yes, you need to dump it regularly. However mulching, you never need to as the clipping are spread evenly across the lawn. We always run our mower as a mulcher.

Check to make sure your blade is installed correctly, an upside down blade will seem to cut but will move air poorly and thus not move clippings well.

Does it go in battery save mode, lower rpm, when there is little gras to mow? On another video it sounded like it was not turning full throttle all the time.
No, but with less load on the motor is makes less noise. A motor at full speed uses very little current, so the more resistance the blade encounters, the more power it draws from the battery. Light grass and you can mow for a long time.
