- In another exciting finish in the West Region, Kansas State outlasted Xavier in double overtime to advance to the Elite 8 where they will take on Butler on Saturday.
Without a doubt one of the best Gus Johnson calls ever.
Some one needs to start a petition to bring back Gus Johnson to CBS sports for March Madness

I was lucky enough to be there, and man was it every bit as magical as the replay, and then some!! I was a Sophmore in high school on spring-break, and the Cats took down home-town boy Jimmer from BYU in the first weekend to get to the Sweet 16. We caught a spur of the moment flight out & bought last-minute tix to the game, and the rest is history. Even got some spring skiing in at Alta in-between the Sweet 16 & Elite 8 games! But sigh, we had to run into Brad Stevens, Gordon Hayward, Matt Howard, Shelvin Mack & the 5-seed Butler Bulldogs... was thoroughly convinced we were going to the Final 4 after the Xavier double OT finish... what could have been. Such a fun squad to watch! Still one of the best back-court duos in college hoops I can recall.
Was there. Will never, ever forget.

Die-Hard Xavier fan for 20+ years and this is one of my top 3 games I have ever seen Xavier play even though I wish there was an alternate final outcome.
One of the BEST games in Tourney history of March Madness!!! And, probably THE BEST game Gus Johnson has ever called. Yes, I know, it’s a lot of those. But, even going back to watch the highlights, still gives me chills to listen to him call this game!! Sidebar, Crawford and Halloway were a problem😂!! Lastly!!! Bring GUS BACK TO CBS, AND LET HIM CALL THE FINAL FOUR, PLS!!!!!!!!!!!! Exciting commentary adds to the game, especially a GREAT game!!!🙏🏾💯
The BEST, most intense NCAA game I have ever seen. The commentary is as good if not better than the game. A true classic

I love Xavier basketball. Win or lose, the entertainment is next to none. Second most successful small school after Gonzaga.
I remember watching this on tv at XU with 50+ other students in the dorm. Everytime Holloway or Crawford hit an improbable shot the whole place just went nuts and it was almost unbelievable how clutch those guys from both teams were. Most epic game I've ever seen.
Still one of the best games I've ever watched. I have to thank the 2010 tournament for being as great as it was because without it I probably wouldn't be as big of a sports fanatic as I am today, at the time I was a 3rd grader who hated sports and this tournament made me love sports
I forgot all about Tu Holloway, I'm not even a Xavier fan but he's one of my favorite players I've ever watched, it's a shame what that Cincinnati brawl did to him

I was in a sports bar in Center City in Philly called the The Independence on the night this game took place..Now I've been in sports bar on many occasions when the big event of the night was on TV and everyone had some sort of interest in it..but this wasn't the case..at first..there were at least 6 TV's at the main bar with this game on maybe 2 of them but as this game got late in the second half and got more exciting all 6 TV's had this game on and everybody was into it..Not rooting for one team or the other just enjoying one truly great NCAA tournament game one of the best I've ever seen and will always remember..#NOVANATION

One of the best games in NCAA history. Just think if he had missed one free throw, the game would not have been what it was. I give a lot of credit to both teams. And Gus Johnson just made the game that much better.

That's some great Gus, and his best moment from that game wasn't even in the highlight. After a big Jason Love stickback late in regulation to cut the lead to one, Gus, in his patented growl, gives a "Big Loooove!" (Remember, the game was played in Utah.)

Oh man i remember this game like it was yesterday still, jumping up and down seeing Clemente and Pullen hit them 3's and then cussin out my TV after Xavier kept tying it up but in the end it was worth it. Best Basketball game ive ever seen :) Kstate didn't win the championship but they got my respect and many others after the way they played just pure intense emotional dramatic basketball. Fuck yeah! that game is carved in my mind.

No offense to Xavier, but K-State deserved this win by far. They kept in this game and kept scoring regardless of the miracle 3's that Xavier was putting up.
We're they impressive shots? Hell yes they were. But give K-State the credit they deserve. They were playing exceptionally well.
Had a couple of beers with Gus in Cleveland the next year. We talked at length about this game and how much fun this was to call. MM will NOT be the same without him.
Highlights: 6 made posessions by Xavier, 5 made possesions by Kansas St. X lost but had the slightly more amazing shots.
