Coach Snyder will be missed, not only at Kansas State University but in all of college football. He did the impossible and should be commended for what he did for the university! Enjoy your retirement Coach!
Whenever I'm feeling blue I watch this video and get pumped up all over again. I was at almost all of the games in here (give or take) in the Snyder era. I'll never forget 'em.
Bill Snyder's "Powercat" and the K-State uniform. Took the idea from Hayden Fry at Iowa when the Hawkeyes switched to a Pittsburgh Steelers replica. That's a sharp look for the Cats with the Dallas Cowboys replica. One of the best uniform/helmet combinations in all of college football. There's nothing quite like it...
Coaches are measured by the number of national championship s but no one looks at the the turn around of losing programs. No other coach in the country could have the patience to do what coach Syder accomplished in Manhattan He was the right man for the job ! GOAT !
My family and I lived these games. Best times of my life. The Nebraska snow game, the Big XII title games, all the wins. I was there. A bit of me died in 1998 at that A&M game and another bit of me died when Snyder retired too early. Now that he's back and now that we're relevant again I want to add more chapters to this video. GO CATS.
Coach Snyder accomplished more at K- State, and getting the most out of the players he had. What he did without a hundred million dollar budget is amazing beating teams like O.U. He is the GOAT. I think there is a few folks in oaklahoma might agree.
Lifetime Horns fan and UTEP Miner fan here.....nothing but respect for this school and Coach Snyder......I was a big El Roberson fan,,,,hopefully Dana Dimel from that pedigree can turn the Miners around....Love my Horns but y'all ruined some of my Saturdays.....Love the way Deuce plays....God bless 🙌 and be safe
I remember all the other top teams fall that day as a Tennessee fan. Had to be a rough day. I can 100% relate. Our 2001 sec title game against LSU cost us a chance at another title, and it still makes me sick. It's hard to even enjoy highlights from that year.
I've never been so moved by a video about my favorite team that has been my favorite since day one of birth. even non-fans should recognize the awseomness of this and atleast be moved a little
I have watched this (and the other versions) dozens of times and I STILL tear up. My first year at KState was 1989 and the first game I saw us win (in person) was the Texas State last second touchdown. Still my favorite game.
From an OU fan/alum, this was a great tribute. Mad respect for the Cats, and Snyder.... Every OU fan knows, whenever the schedule comes out, K-State is gonna be a war, no matter where the game is. This vid should have shown the battles from 2000-2001... Even though K-State lost those 3, the 2 regular season meetings in Manhattan and Norman, then the rematch in the 2000 Big 12 title game, they were classic games, every one of em, and to win or lose anyone of those... almost meant nothing.
I am a Nebraskan and have greatest respect for Bill Snyder and great admiration for what he has accomplished at kansas state. Now that Nebraska is moving to the big ten, I am hoping Kansas State wins the Big 12 every year and that it can sometime play Nebraska in the national championship game. machuskers
That game against Nebraska in the sleet. That is the first K-State game that I have a distinct memory of. I remember watching games before then, but that was the first game to ever mean anything. It's great when the first game you remember watching is one of the biggest wins in school history. Here's to the team that wins and wins and doesn't get any respect by default, we earn all of the respect we ever get, overlooked and underrated we will prevail and we will win.
The year is 2003, I look through the NCAA 03 Rosters and see a quarterback named Ell Roberson--he's fast. Then I see his running back, also fast. I proceed to run the speed option down my brothers face for the next 6 hours with little resistance. I am the Playstation 2 King. Thus, a love story is written.
As a Wildcat alum, having attended 3 out the 5 games highlighted in this, I can say this is an incredible video!! I pray Bill returns the program to greatness... One recommendation for the editor of this. Maybe at the end, put in the quote from Bill during that first press conference about this being a huge test, one not to be taken lightly. You know the one... Yeah, that would be awesome
I attend K-State, and I have to say, our football team is the trolls of NCAA. We're not supposed to win. We're not supposed to be where we are. But we are, seemingly by no reason other than it bugs the crap out everyone for us to get this far
Possibly THE greatest CFB coach of all time. Such a shame K-State didn't find him earlier. He's part of the real reason Neb / Colo fled the conference. Didn't want to keep taking those L's from Coach Snyder and KSU.
Yes K-State is not the best in the all of College Football. We dont have National Championships in our trophy case. But we will be remembered as the team that couldnt beat a high school football team into a team that every one was afraid of with a Hall of Fame coach. We have over come so much and to be where we are is amazing. Other teams start out good and stay good. K-State works to be good and now all that hard work has paid off. So all you haters think about history before you come on here.
ITS THE SAME PLAY, ELL ROBERSON TO TERRY TOUCHDOWN, THEY RAN THE SAME PLAY THEY DID IN NEBRASKA OH MY GOODNESS!~ GOOSEBUMPS BEYOND BELIEF CUZ I WAS AT BOTH GAMES AND WAS SHOCKED MYSELF AS A KSU FAN!~ OH MY GOODNESS TIS AWESOME!~
Im a life long nebraska fan, but i have to say the first time i saw this video i thought it was pretty cool and gave me some chills. especially when Newman returned that 2 point conversion. what haapened to the music at the very start of the old one though? why is it what a wonderful world now?
@jdhaist13 I was there, remember seeing that UCLA had lost on the score board, which meant had k-state won we would have been in the championship game, a great chance we missed out on...
@jdhaist13 Thirteen years later and the mere mention of that aTm game is still painful for me, much less the awful Alamo Bowl that followed. But the 2003 Big 12 Championship made/makes up for it. Can't wait for this season and the Brown bros.
Let's keep things in perspective. Look at the physical plant, commitment and the resources available in the State of Kansas to remember what a herculean job it was for Snyder, et al, to accomplished what they have. Compare Missouri as an example, the State has a population of about 6 million(almost triple that of Ks.) and the Tigers are the only major Div. 1 program in the State. What have they done with that tremendous advantage? Not much. We beat them 66-0 in '99, for illus. purposes.
@jdhaist13 I am still bothered by this 12 years later! I was watching it my freshman year of college and FREAKING OUT (I did not go to KSU). I still wonder how the program would have changed if we would have won the Big XII Championship game, gone on to the National Championship game and won it. Then in 2003, Roberson got hurt and we lost those 3 in the middle and won when he came back. Two great chances at greatness and we came up short.
Yeah, our highlights from 5 (FIVE) National Championship seasons don't even compare! BTW, good job last year. I enjoy watching you guys beat up on most of the Big 12. Keep it up.
you couldnt make it in the Big 12 so you ran away with your tails between your legs. Indiana, Purdue, Illinois, Rutgers, Minnesota, God your conf sucks
@@powercathill tbh, you're right. I miss the big 12. We play teams like Rutgers and Maryland when we should face Kansas and ksu. West Virginia would be weird, though.
no, jdhaist13, you are not the only one. That announcer was not allowed to announce that ohio state lost. that was the turning point that changed the game. another thing, how did sproles, bishop, newman or roberson not win the heisman. its called no one respects K-State. after the 98 season we learned that we must have jesus on our team to MAYBE get some!!!!!!
Haven't competed for the Big 12 Championship? Wtf? K-State was second to OSU just last year and lost to them in a game that went down to the last play.
as a KU fan, this gives me hope,,,KSU has been as bad historically as KU is right now..but all it took was one coach to step in and change the entire fortunes of a FB program..KU needs to find its Bill Snyder
OU really doesn't have the talent they used to have. Landry Jones is like the second coming on Tony Romo. OSU could very likely repeat, but I don't see that happening with the way the defense has played so far. The offense is business as usual with Wes Lunt at the helm so far, hope he returns soon.
Coach Snyder will be missed, not only at Kansas State University but in all of college football. He did the impossible and should be commended for what he did for the university! Enjoy your retirement Coach!
Facts!!!
Rest In Peace brother. I’ll remember you forever for this video

RIP Fatty. You were inspiration to many of us.
He passed? 😢
Great video. I'm a Nebraska fan, but this is awesome. You should be proud of your program. You have the greatest coach in the history of the game
My family and I lived these games. Best times of my life. The Nebraska snow game, the Big XII title games, all the wins. I was there. EMAW. Go Cats!
That a&m game broke my heart
Bill Snyder is the greatest coach in college football history hands down not even a question
Coach Snyder accomplished more at K- State, and getting the most out of the players he had. What he did without a hundred million dollar budget is amazing beating teams like O.U. He is the GOAT. I think there is a few folks in oaklahoma might agree.

I love how its blank on the 98 big 12 title game...I pretend that day doesn't exist also haha. EMAW
I’m saying this as a die hard Aggie... Even I kinda wish K State had won and gone onto the natty.
I remember all the other top teams fall that day as a Tennessee fan. Had to be a rough day.
I can 100% relate. Our 2001 sec title game against LSU cost us a chance at another title, and it still makes me sick. It's hard to even enjoy highlights from that year.
this video is sole proof why snyder is the best coach
jesse beeghly agreed
I've never been so moved by a video about my favorite team that has been my favorite since day one of birth. even non-fans should recognize the awseomness of this and atleast be moved a little
Go Cats.
I still won't invite you to my house for Christmas dinner, but this is still the best KSU video I have ever seen.
Coming back to this after the OU upset in 2019. Chills.
I have watched this (and the other versions) dozens of times and I STILL tear up. My first year at KState was 1989 and the first game I saw us win (in person) was the Texas State last second touchdown. Still my favorite game.

No coach in the history of college football has done a better coaching job ever. Bill Synder is truly the Coach of the Century.
I attend K-State, and I have to say, our football team is the trolls of NCAA. We're not supposed to win. We're not supposed to be where we are. But we are, seemingly by no reason other than it bugs the crap out everyone for us to get this far
We’ll get that natty one day!
We need a redo of this in 2020, longer and higher quality video now allowed on youtube
He was a legendary poster on goemaw.com along with the genius behind this video. He passed away last year suddenly while taking care of his brother
I think it's time for a much appreciated update video. Klein era would be a great addition to this video
wow. teary eyes and chills. i am so pumped for the ksu-oklahoma game saturday. GO CATS!

One of the more perfect 10 minutes you could spend on the internet. Watch this video.
Definitely the best K-State video on RUclips, RIP Fatty
Dam what a vid.
I am so proud to be a graduate of that "little engine that could" university.
Bigger and better things are ahead.
Best Kstate football video ever made.
Thank you so much for this video! I almost cried watching it! XD
This deserves over a million views. RIP Fatty
This one always gets me so fired up. Tomorrow will be a great day. #fatty4ksu I'll be yelling for you this year.
The 43-0 score in the KU game cracked me up. 😂😂😂
At the end of the half 😂😂
I love the fact that you left out the 98 CCG. I also love the KU Radio play by play over the 2002 material.
Am I the only one still bothered by the 1998 Big XII championship game and how it fell apart? AMAZING VID by the way.
It almost brings tears how much I miss this...
thank you for that clip of the tu fans after the jordy nelson return. nothing better than sad people in orange.
Thank you, Coach Snyder!
dude ur videos are the best go KATZ final four contenders
best ksu video ever! GO CATS!
Here's to another Aggie-Wildcat Big XII Championship game in 2010
Awesome video
Its really sad that Fatty is dead. Thanks for all these videos.

Mostly true except for the part of being a team everyone was afraid of. Not everyone.
Nice Video. Good to remember on a day like this. Fighting ever Fighting for a WILDCAT VICTORY! GO STATE!
Goosebumps. I'm ready for September.

Forever in our hearts.
@a7b7c78 It would be amazing but I'm not surprised ESPN didn't bother doing that for some reason, maybe he's going to have a full length movie.
lol, why is Roberson featured in the "Birth of..." ??? 2:25
@jdhaist13
Thirteen years later and the mere mention of that aTm game is still painful for me, much less the awful Alamo Bowl that followed. But the 2003 Big 12 Championship made/makes up for it. Can't wait for this season and the Brown bros.

@machuskers i wish all nebraska fans had respect like you.

How have I not seen this video yet? Amazing
This video brings a new image to me. An image of an individual that was BITB at what he did.
Kansas State had a good run back in the late 90s, 2000 or so, but eh, they'll never be that good again.
type in man gives birth to kitten. funniest video on youtube.
The K-State fan needs to update this video for all of us
@BenBobVids Could not agree more. Awesome video.
Legendary video.
Did you see the football float away at 2:08 it's scary
C.
2:01 what dripped from dudes finger???
Jayhawk tears.
Well KSU hasn't been an easy win at all since at least 2010. They make you earn it. I think they'll win the big 12 this year.
Ty, Vegas has odds on NoDam, but I think Bama gona bring it home to you. Roll Tide and Go CATS!
You missed the 1970 6-5 season under coach Vince Gibson in your list of winning seasons.
The Oklahoma fans are STUNNED!!!
The night "Sooner Magic died......"
2023 Pop Tarts Bowl Champions!!
RIP Fatty, you will be missed.
gets better everytime.
I'm a Texas Tech fan and I love it.

@theflyestkidalive Just because he's a fan doesn't make him a student or alumni.
What's the name of the u2 song
not sure i could pan a camera fast enough to follow d sproles. look at him cruiseeeee
You can say we should have lost, but we were #1 and definitely didn't choke. We will be a 1 seed this year and we will see if we choke....I doubt it.

This is a Classic.
This feels so good after blowing Baylor out 52-25!
Haven't competed for the Big 12 Championship? Wtf? K-State was second to OSU just last year and lost to them in a game that went down to the last play.
Anyone watching this before the 2024-2025 season?
how it ends?? would have fit pretty well..

excellent vid
@jdhaist13 You're not the only one by a long, long shot!
7:41 Right Tackle gets OWNED.
8:14 Is that Bradford!??
but why did it have to end w/ the '06 Texas bowl under prince, and a game which we got ran all over by ray rice... SMH
the video is just that old...the creator of it passed away unfortunately as well
