people need to understand that no one owes us anything. whether he sent her money or he loved her entirely does not justify why he killed her. That girl was someone's child, she had a future. as a man who claims he cared about her deeply,, killing her should have never been an option. love does not delight in evil. That was pure lust, lack of emotional intelligence and he simply could not handle rejection.
People need to understand that no one should play with someone's feelings and time only because he/she is weak over you.The young boy was never rejected by the girl but he was being used knowingly..he only knew one woman in this world of love(Ivy),he did it because he was told a lot about a dark side of the girl by her friend. He killed because of what he was told before and not for the phone issue..He felt like he was tired to be played by a person who acted as SMART before the community while she wasn't indeed.
A love with rage/Sweet and Bitter...that's how I can call the tragedy

No amount of money justifies taking someone else's life so brutally. Demonizing the dead victim and justifying such an evil murder is just demonic. The victim must get justice. How many people including women get heart broken or dumped on a daily basis? Do they commit murder? This man took a life when he did not need to. He is young and could have found another woman. He must face the consequences of his brutal actions. Justice for Wangechi.

It's like being asked to pay dowry, then the lady or her parents decides the marriage should not be consummated. Even in eons past dowry was paid back after divorce, that is if the 1st born was not an adult, at time of divorce. It's simple, as a lady, if you don't want a man, don't take, or ask for his money. Keep preaching sister, most of these ladies on the comments are the entitled types who think they can fleece any man on pretence. This has become, in particular a Kikuyu culture for ladies. Once a man declares interest on a lady and decides to officially betroth her, thats when the sale is declared open. In my community, a minimum of 30k is paid upfront on cash, plus a long list of stuffs to deliver to the parents. Dowry may come later, May be several years down the line, it could be up to 1M. Ask yourself, why is it demanded that men should pay all this monies, to the lady's parents if marriage (read sex) is free. Marriage is just a localized prostitution.
