Our Government is treating these komvers with kids gloves yet people are dying from their actions, it shouldn't be about illegal or legal, they should stop operating these shops, SAn's should.

At least in other provinces spaza shops are closing down. In Gauteng the spaza shops are still open especially in Johannesburg🏗️🏢🏗️🏢 suburbs🏡🏡. Why are the spaza shops still opened? 🤷‍♂️. 🇿🇦💤💤. 🙋. 🛏️. 😴😴.

Is it a clampdown on spaza shops or on foreigners? Black South Africa's vicious xenophobia is well known. Taxis kill people all the time with their reckless driving yet there has never been a clampdown!!!

Efforts are useless..... the community that I live in is infested with foreign owned shops .... they just closed when the police came today and reopened when they left .... these people think our legal system is a joke they have no fear of South African law or citizens....

@jacquelineGou: I just read your comment. I am from the US. Are you saying these people actually tease your officials in this manner. I am shocked that the government allows this to continue. Let me know if I am misinformed.

@Qotha Thanks for your quick response. However my last question is where are the elders/activists? I am told that in Africa the elders are highly respected and will speak up for the community.
