thank you for sharing about your decision and process to take art full time and giving yourself this push. Very impactful for me as an aspiring musician :)
As a novice bookbinder taking evening classes, this is very uplifting and motivating. I do get the anxiety, it makes me procrastinate so much I end up not making books at all. In my mind, I need to wait for that 'perfect' material, or moment, mindset or whatever excuse I give myself. But I need to practice to grow, and mistakes will happen, it's how we grow ^^ I love how cosy and honest these videos are, I hope to see many more in the future ^^
Thank you for this look into YOU. Fears and anxiety are a part of everyone's life but for those folks who put themselves in front of a camera it's a much more intense fear. We, who sit in the audience probably don't understand this anxiety. We can say omg you shouldn't feel this way, your work is gorgeous or fabulous, all those descriptives. But you have this emotion for a reason...it's part of the drive that makes you want to do this work. You will overcome the fear and thats when your work is even more joy than ever and you have arrived in your mind if that makes any sense
I don’t think you’re talking too much. You’re expressing your feelings, fears and desires and that actually helps people. If you can help 1 person, then you are doing your job. There’s a sense of peacefulness to your video, which is why I’m currently binge watching your other ones. Keep up the great work and continue to be yourself.
I've been watching your videos recently and I am very appreciative of how you realize and start to open up about your fears. I'm in the art industry too and most of the time I have a hard time of opening and verbalizing about the struggles in it. Thank you for making this videos cause it gives me hope that I can struggle pass how to make a living with my artistry. And that it is ok and normal that it takes time. Thanks again and more power to your journey.
I only recently started following you on RUclips. And I think you do amazing work. I’m new to bookbinding and making journals. I have a background in graphic design, but it was something that fell short in my expectations, and I find I have more peace when I am making my junk journals and sketch journals. Thank you for opening yourself to the world. I will look forward to watching you grow. 🤟🏻
I liked the intimacy of this video, all of us have fears and insecurities about something new, it's nice that you faced yours and kept doing amazing books!
There is a smooth wooden pressing tool that Tailors use. It helps to replace the bone folder on thicker folds and saves the stress on your wrist. Love your videos and your mission of these awesomely beautiful books. I make many of my own art journals, but it is great to see you making it into a business. Thanks for sharing. Hugs and light and success in your business. Please do consider setting these beautiful items in waterproof shielding. It would be sad to have them arrive soaked as my mail often does.
Just found your channel. I very much understand having fears and anxieties. I’m also a creative person but I suffer from ADD with anxiety which drain away creative energy. That, of course, makes the drive to create a difficult one to be productive at. I applaud your bravery and your skills at making such exquisite books or do you call them scrapbook’s? Your videography is also very well done and relaxing to watch. I can tell you very much strive for excellence.
Ahhh so cozy indeed!! I totally empathize with the anxieties that come with being on camera and putting yourself out there on the internet but it can be really rewarding and is such a great way to connect with people!
Hi Chanel, Thank you for sharing your thoughts. Anxiety definitely makes us want to not do things we love, I feel you on that. But, something I have realized doing YT for one and a half year, the video journaling is such a great idea to reflect. I wish I had started journaling or some sort of diary in my earlier years, just looking at the videos one year back is such a moment. I am excited for you, keep going. One day if your body and mind says no more, honor it then, but for now ride on the excitement wave. Love the edits in this video, also the tissue papers look great. 🌻☀️Side note: I got automatically unsubscribed, 🧐 I hope the machine does not think I am spam 😂😂
LOOK AT THAT LIGHTING!!! ZE PRODUCTION QUALITY! THE MUSIC! The visual tranquility - Love it!
