There are three courses right 1-100 , 0-1 , 0-100 ....so which is currently going on , is he taking classes for all of the courses separately?
I also purchased cohort 0 - 100 yesterday . I know html , css and basic JS . Do i need to speed up to cope ? Or i can go on my own pace watching a recording per day ? Do i have any disadvantage of late joining ( like the tests will be much earlier and i'll be covering previous concepts and assignments / discord sub groups ) ? Please suggest .
If you want to be able to attend the live lectures then you can just go through the topics that are new to you.
But if you are fine watching the recording of live lectures then there is no problem if you go at your own pace

I want to purchase the course, but I'm unable to understand what I should get and what I won't! Here are my queries:
1. Is Cohort 1 which is finished, the same as Cohort 2.0 "Live 0-100 Complete" but no live classes?
2. Cohort 2.0 is the course "Live 0-100 Complete" right? And as I'm late then I've missed all the live classes and bounty programs and open-source contributions too right? I'm at a loss now if I join now right? So, wait for the next 3 months for the next Cohort 3.0 I guess? I don't know how this is working!
3. If I join now, then what do I miss that I'll not get and what do I get in the course?
4. Should I wait for 3-4 months for the next batch of December to get every access?

We have access to the content for 3 years. See if you want to be able to attend live lectures then you have to speed up but if you can't then just refer to the recordings.

I would suggest you buy the 0-100 as it will be a good deal in terms of cost.
Then you can focus more on the 0-1 part and get good at it.
If you feel comfortable with all the stuff covered in 0-1 then you can continue following the cohort.
If not then take some time and get comfortable with all the stuff covered once you feel comfortable move to 1-100 as you have access to all the content for 3 years.
If I join the cohort now, can I still learn, or will I have too much backlog that will hinder my learning? I do have decent skills in front-end development (React). The reason I am asking is that I recently came into some money, just enough to pay for the course. I think I should enroll, but I am scared of the potential backlog.
Yes you will be able to learn as just JS & Node/Express basics are covered till now.
You can cover everything taught till now in Max 2 weeks.

It covers stuff that is required to build full-stack apps.
There will be lots of recordings that you have to go through. But if you put in 2-3 weeks then you will be able to cover everything done till now.

Bro, I recently began a full-time internship as a full-stack developer working with MERN. Do you think it's manageable, and can you give me an idea of how much content is covered each week?
It will become challenging
but if you sit during weekends and try to work a couple of hours during weekdays then I think you should be able to manage it as you already have some knowledge about MERN.
About the content, there are 2 live lectures of 2+ hours and also some offline lectures.

I feel this cohort will feel overwhelming for you as it covers too many things.
Since you know HTML & CSS I would recommend you learn JavaScript and then learn ReactJS and apply for front-end roles.
Later you can explore the backend and other tools.
First, just become good at the front end, build good projects and apply for jobs.
You can use freeapi.app for production-level backend API and just build the front-end side.

No. Learn js, html, css and basic of react first. Otherwise you will fall behind seniors because cohort is not for absolute beginners. It is for 2nd, 3rd,.4th year guys and maybe graduated ones who didn't got job.

Hey! what’s the daily time commitment (average) required for the course?
It depends on where you stand at the moment.
If you are a complete beginner then I guess 15-20 hours per week.
If you know programming logic but are a beginner in MERN then may be 10-15 hours per week.
If you know MERN at a decent level then it will be a bit fewer hours for now.
But when the advanced topics are introduced the per week hours may increase depending on your learning speed.

Hello finson first i will explain my situation, i completed my graduation in 2021 from mechanical engineering background. I am unemployed from past 2.5 years. Now i really hungry to learn a technology very well and build strong skill set. I know that only skills can fetch me a job.so as i am non tech guy i want to buy harkirat sing 0-1 course first which is around 4k, once i got confidence it it and practiced it after few months i want to buy 1-100 course. My question for you is , are these courses enough for me to build that skills ?
Second question is can i buy 2 courses seperately or buy 6200 course which is combination of both, will i miss any content if i go for seperate courses ?, and if possible give some insights and advice too bro
If you are a totally beginner then you may find this cohort bit overwhelming. 0-1 you will be able to do but you may find 1-100 a bit difficult.
I would suggest you can try Udemy courses as you are a beginner and you can do it on your own pace and just focus on frontend development for now, become good at it and get a frontend job. Later you can learn backend and become a full-stack developer if you want to.

Do i need to learn Java or Cs50 or C++ prior to this course because i feel that yes there are frameworks, libraries, Javascript etc all that, the whole Web development domain tools and new tech stacks and so on. But when one starts to build a website from scratch it all comes down to basic programming skills that's why i think is it necessary to learn a statically typed language like C or C++ or Java 1st then do the usual Html css js???
C or C++ isn't a prerequisite to start with HTML, CSS, & JS.
But it will be really helpful when to start writing Typescript instead of plain JS

Btw suppose now you're well acquainted with the web dev technology and frameworks now how should one start to think about trying to build a website or an app from scratch i mean the ideas, the projects,the frontend user templates, no code tools like Webflow, Framer and Wix have already crowded the web design space and i feel all the ideas , color palettes, templates you can think of building is already over saturated all over the web development domain. How do you cope with this aspect? Or just copy Instagram, Disney hotstar, Netflix Amazon clones????
I learned development by taking courses on Udemy, watching RUclips videos and reading blogs.
About project ideas, If you do courses you'll have some projects. You can add some extra features to them. Also, you can try solving a problem you face personally.

This will help you understand the basics.
Then you can start with web development by learning HTML, CSS and Javascript. You can also try Android or iOS or cross-platform( Flutter/React Native) development or Data Science or AI/ML but I would suggest you stick with web development as it is comparatively easier to start and get opportunities.
Once you are comfortable with HTML, CSS & JS then dive into any one of the JavaScript frameworks React or angular or Vue. I would suggest going with React as there are greater chances of good opportunities if you are good at it.
Just become good at the front end and get experience then later you can learn whatever you want and make yourself more valuable to the employer.

Also I saw few people who are struggling with the teaching style(these are the people who don’t have any experience working with MERN before).

It totally depends on your situation at the moment.
If you have a lot of time on your hands then you can surely take the syllabus and learn all those topics on your own.
If you don't then you can go for the cohort. Tho it's not gonna be easy if you are a beginner, if you put in the work it will surely give you great results.

Don't just depend on this cohort only. Consider it as a resource and combine it with other resources.
