    I rolled my ankle but from a falll of 2.5 foot around 75cm drop in a ditch i heard a large crack/snap. I felt something wrong autmaticallly not much swelling but vdry painful and could not walk much at all. i went to hospital locally but this was when i am abriad as stilll am and they said need to control for 10 days and see traumatologist not sure what is meant by this!?? does anyone know if in England does it need surgery or seek extra medical care? I have a cast at moment and with crutches but both not good, the swelling n next day got worse and pain even worse tried to walk around with crutches but too ghard for me in the city so got a wheel chair this does not work to well - it will be a week when.i am back home - this waiting will make the injury worse do you think? should i seek english speaking specialst in croaita or wait until i get back to seek help???? Thanks

    My daughter broke and fractured her foot and they sent us home. They did put a big thing on it but said her x-ray was cloudy/watery idk and discharged us with a broken foot fracture and a referral to a surgeon. I'm scared to death because she is 15 and I seen someone get really messed up over what started as a foot break.

      Sorry to hear. Curious what happened with your daughter. Did she get the surgery? What type? What are the results now? Is she fully healed? I just broke the left side of my right foot on Christmas Eve bc one of my kids left their laptop charger plugged in in the living room and I didn't see it when I was carrying presents to put under the tree. It is SO painful. In a boot and doc wants me to get a CT scan bc he said the fracture is so strange, like a chip of bone is also just sitting out. 😐

    When I had a nondisplaced fractured foot, the ortho doc put my foot and lower leg in a cast with a stir up, and the cast forced my foot into a lateral flexed position which is unnatural for me because my feet have a natural slight turnout. When the cast was removed, having had the pressure & weight of the cast on my lower leg and foot for many weeks left me with extremely painful muscles, connective tissues and achilles tendon such that my foot is now stuck in a flexed position and I cannot freely move it to walk. I should have refused the cast and wore a fracture boot instead. My fractures would have healed fine and the fracture boot would have given me control over how much pressure is on my leg.
    Now I have to undo the problems the cast caused. The ignorant ortho doc told me just to start walking wearing my normal shoes. No physiotherapy offered. He did not understand that the cast caused me chronic pain and made my foot stuck. Never again will I let anyone put a cast on me unless there is absolutely no other alternative. I am debating whether to see a podiatrist to fix my foot. 😢

      How are you now

      @m.taylor 6 месяцев назад +1

      @@abinash2371 I was applying ice or cold water to my foot and lower leg every day for two weeks to reduce the pain. I sought out a physiotherapist and am still using one crutch to walk with a limp. Foot is still painful but I am doing foot flexing exercises every hour which helps relieve some stiffness. It is going to be many months of rehab, assuming my foot healed properly. I don't wish to have a limp for the rest of my life.

    I’m not going to get treatment for fractured foot. I can’t afford treatment, so I don’t care. Your life is only worth money.
