    Hello everyone.
Apologies for the false start video yesterday which was intended to sit as a channel intro video for new viewers...but thank you for all the funny comments.
Grab a glass of wine for the second part and enjoy the battle....
Experts out there, please be kind commenting on my technique! The great news is that this is all in place and rock solid today. Result! 😂🙌
    Cheers all. Richard.

You’re doing a great job but it looks like you could use an electric chisel hammer to make your life easier chopping the wall. I think a fan facing out the window would have got rid of that dust. Keep up the good work.

Loving this channel, many many years ago I bought a run down 3 story townhouse in the UK and while still working, I lived in an armchair which was my only piece of furniture and I single handedly sorted it while still working long 12 hour shifts 30 miles away. It was wintertime to start so I had to make the house as cozy as I could, then it was sorting out the front and back gardens, rebuilding and extending the patio which had collapsed, burning off all the rubbish that had been dumped plus the brambles that had taken over everything. It was a very satisfying feeling once it was all done, sitting outside in the evenings watching the sun go down with a glass of red and sparking up the barby, such a magical time.

To date the worst job in our renovation was cutting a doorway in the bricks, thank goodness we had a power saw with a masonry blade (scary as hell beast to use, it took 2 of us to hang onto it & vacuum at the same time) but we needed it due to the brickwork being the only well built part of our house 🤣 and the brick ties were as they should be not very scarce as we thought it would be. Luckily we only needed a thick steel L shaped lintel (and I say that loosely due to cutting it to size also). I wish Lee would’ve let me film it all because the transformation here is amazing and I’m so glad we’ve done 90% of it ourselves. Good job Richard, the struggle is well worth it and you definitely deserve the 🍷. shell 🇦🇺

    Hello Richard
The much anticipated next video, but firstly your new intro was delightful, amusing, so charming as you lead us through the archway of the unknown, and the music was magical.
Your videos have teased our senses, all but for one, we couldn't taste the pizza or the fine wine.
You are a master, clever, and have many skills. Your personality, humor, and soft spoken manner has us all drawn in, leaning closer to the telly or screen. Riding shotgun on your adventure.
For some it is just a dream and others entertainment .
For others, sharing your experience with those that wish to do the same, your generosity of spirit explaining additional expenses and the planning permission process was an eyeopener.
Then there are those, like myself that just love a reno, the vision, and the transformation of a place in need of some love.
So fingers crossed that the planning process has been approved, that your vision of a sympathetic restoration unfolds. Hoping those lovely front doors remain as the gateway to your dream of the sweet life. Should the picture window not meet planning approval maybe two windows ( the same style as the rest) in that room will get the pass. Just maybe a tad bigger to take in that wonderful view and sunsets.
Good to see a proper mask, essential when knocking down walls etc, I've seem my house pour "smoke dust" out the windows, some much that I was surprised nobody called the fire department.
Even the mask when in the outbuildings with rat droppings, mold spores, and flaking paint that could be old lead based.
More so when you have asthma.
There is no such thing as too much tat in the kitchen when you love cooking, just like guys can never have too many tools.
As for that little scorpion, although small, it's sting will still be a very painful and venomous.
They tend to hide so check your trainers, wellingtons, and slippers etc.
I was stung taking the wash off the line, it was hiding in a tee shirt.
I have never been across the pond, but Italy would have been my choice.
For the food, architecture, people, and the land. The sweet life.
Oscar Farinette was brilliant. Thank you for that.
What a chin wag, and you thought you rambled!
Thank you, your videos are bellisimo!

Brilliant work..the dust and rubble just goes for days, doesn't it. 😷 I'm sure you've made so much more progress since you filmed this. When the contractor was taking down one of my walls in my renovation (cinder block wall) they used a jackhammer/concrete breaker. You might already be done with opening up the walls in your renovation, so this suggestion is irrelevant. I look forward to seeing your reveal 🎉🎊 Have a great weekend! 🌞

    • @threeacresofmarche
      @threeacresofmarche  8 месяцев назад +3

Hi @EricOnRUclips . The tractor was digging a trench that surrounds the house. It is 6 to 9 inches deep to gather rain water as it runs off the hills in the winter. All the fields have them dug in around that time of year. Those rains that I had in a previous video - the person that dug those above the house did not dig them deep enough and they collapsed...hence that mud and water gathering at the back of the house. This was a proper job thanks to Dennis and his brother.👍
