Das wird großartig, man merkt es vom ersten Takt an! Was für eine Energie!
Holy Smokes - what a GREAT orchestra - director too 😁🤩😎👍
Beautiful performance! 💐 👏 Thank you so much, Frankfurt Radio Symphony 🙏❤😊
Macbeth opus 23 remains the least known and least performed of Richard Strauss's symphonic poems, and yet it is a strong and dramatic work, and in many ways foreshadows the opera composer that Strauss was to become. He does not try to follow the plot of Shakespeare's play at all costs. These pages are a study of the character of Macbeth and his wife, each described first by two themes. The first theme of Macbeth is bold and military, the second is a more elaborate melody illustrating his instability. Lady Macbeth is first depicted by an appassionato theme for woodwinds and strings representing her feminine attractions, then a motif indicating the conflicting elements of its complex nature. After this exposition, the development section is a dialogue between the couple, each given an additional motif. Macbeth's is marked dolce (soft) while his wife's is doucereux (sickly sweet). All the protagonists' themes are then developed, but it is that of Lady Macbeth which dominates. The knocking at the door that alarms Macbeth after the murder leads to a second episode based on Macbeth's themes that culminates in a repetition of its exposition section leading to his death and that of his wife. The conclusion returning to the tranquil fanfares for Macduff initiates the coda, mainly based on the dolce theme from Macbeth. *Lucien*
Your explanations/summaries are always such a pleasure to read Lucien and definitely intellectually stimulating. I found this particular performance quite breathtaking (excellent conductor and orchestra) and with the help of your notes, very digestible. Thanks.

Thank you very much for your appreciation in my musical comments. Our era no longer makes music. She camouflages the loneliness of men with noise by letting them hear what she believes to be music. *Lucien*
A very well done piece. How nice that all the sections of the orchestra wer3 recognized. Not many conductors would do this. Also hasppy to see Florin in the role as concertmaster. Congratulations.
SUPERBE , SANS-MOTS MERCI PER ÇE PARTAGE
Thanks for posting! I was hoping you would upload this after I saw the score on a music stand in your last video. Really underrated tone poem and a terrific performance.
Einfach wunderbar!
We've missed your bland and generic "reviews". They are delightfully vague - and every conductor is "experienced and intelligent"!
Long live ChatGPT, AI-generated "reviews"! 😸
Saludos 😊
AHAHAH! So Epic!!
Fiquei buscando a música em todos estes sons.
👍👍👍

What is the music playing during the first four seconds of the video? Thank you.
