Well in his fight against Aizen he fought a fusion of his zanpakto spirit for several months in the Dangai, then when he left the Dangai he entered the state of the ‘Final’ where one gives up there spiritual powers for a dramatic increase in power for a short time. I do agree though that there fight should have been more of a back and forth rather than a one sided beating.

People say that Ichigo was bad writing because he is so broken, which is partly true, but people forget that he still had to train to obtain powers, and I mean nonstop training without food or sleep, and he also had to learn about his past to realize and fully accept each part of himself to unlock the abilities from each of his sides. As an example he had to learn and accept by that old man zangetsu isn’t the true zangetsu to gain his true Shikai/Bankai. Basically Ichigo’s story is about him accepting every single part of himself and using it to his advantage.
If Bleach was actually badly written as those people claim then they wouldn't watch it to even understand it's bad writing because badly written shows are unwatchable.

Not every Fullbringer has a piece of the Soul King, that factor is left at random according to each body part's will. Every other person just survived a Hollow attack or was born from a mother who did. That's what I like about big 3 . The protagonist are op from the start but not like some anime's in which protagonist are just flexing their power and making the series boring . Being Powerful from the start is good , but being overpowered from the start is not good . In big 3 , we every MC's growth and character development is so good . For example Ichigo' was OP from the day he born but after becoming or awakened his soul reaper powers it's not like that he can beat anyone and anytime. We saw his growth day by day , becoming stronger, training harder and defeating stronger enemies. Same goes for Naruto in most of the case and also Luffy .
People forget that a character doesn't always have to have a massive training arc for power, sometimes trauma training or emotional training like Ichigo did makes for an even more compelling character and anime.
I always liked how you could see Ichigo's hollow mask change during the show to reflect how much of his hollow/ soul reaper powers his quincy side was allowing him to use. If you compare them from each appearance, you can see the mask change hollow power levels from a gillian to an adjuchas, then finally a vasto lorde.

Well, technically Aizen would be above Ichigo as he is immortal and evolves each time hes on the verge of death which means eventually he can surpass Ichigo`s powers.
Theres a comment by one @MrGini who said Ichigo mastered all his abilities with no training. Throughout the series Ichigo undergoes training, often racing against the clock and sometimes being told "if you fail you will die." He almost died in the first season, and clawed his way back to having his shinigami powers, and died in Hueco Mundo, unlocking his Vasto Lorde form. He threw away every ouncr of power to stop Aizen. He struggled with fullbring to get his powers back. Yes there have been deus ex machina moments, but hes put in as much work as most other anime protags, and suffered all along the way.

Bleach is one of the only anime where this doesn't feel like a bs plot device, but made to further the plot instead, and it's part of the main story. That seems to be very hard for writers to accomplish, but the writer for bleach, whoever they are, handled it quite well, and made sure it was a plot point, rather than a plot device

Hollows are poisonous to Quincies but Soul Reapers negate that effect, its explained in the episode where we get his full family story and how his mom was bitten by a hollow and his Dads Shinigami powers suppressed the Hollow`s poisonous effect on her. This is why all Shinigami`s can potentially have a hollofication process which even makes them stronger if they learn to connect the two powers together but Quincies cannot do that and any form of bind with a hollow will poison them.
The soul reaper part balances it, urahara saved masaki exactly by using isshin's soul reaper powers to seal the hollow, since soul reapers are the opposite of the hollows

Let's be real, he's a master class of a mix of power sources. From an outside perspective it looks overpowered as hell. In the light novel Ichibay was willing to kill all of ichigo’s loved ones to use him to replace the old soul king if need be and the head captain Shunsui was cool with it.
Until shunsui learned what it meant for Ichigo. He wasn't told how ichigo was supposed to become the soul king. After he learned shunsui was ready to merc ichibe.
Ichigo's very wild and coincidental heritage made his soul more akin to the beings from before the 3 realms were even created, which is why he was even considered to be a potential replacement Soul King since he was about as close to the Soul King as possible aside from Ywach.
To anyone who doesn't know, this has a reason beyond just protagonism, in the Japanese buddhism there's a belief that all the beings are made of 4 souls, the 4 mitamas, and each is represented by one of the 4 races of bleach, ara mitama/angry soul (hollow), nigi mitama/peaceful soul (human), saki mitama/happy soul (soul reaper), kusi mitama/wondrous soul (quincy). So ichigo, by having all the 4 spirits, is the only complete being in bleach, thus why Ichibe was thinking about him to be the new soul king There's a reason, you may not like it, but there's a reason, and a pretty deep one. Bleach is a pretty deep manga highly based in the Japanese Buddhism, with themes of self-knowledge, enlightenment and growing, thus why Ichigo being a "complete being" is nothing less than expected or justified. But sadly, due the cultural barrier and the general prejudices against shounen manga, thinking that they are just shallow fighting stories to please teenagers, many people totally missed this deeper meaning and misinterpreted most of the characters

For the last time ichigo doesn't have any soul king piece inside him . If you're asking how he got the fullbringer, it was stated twice that it was shared by the fullbringers themselves specifically ginjo for ichigo to develop it
You forgot about Blut Artery. Unlike Blut Vene, which focuses on defence, Blut Artery is the offensive form of Blut. We never actually see it used but it acts as a sort of power up for Quincies. It’s important to note that Ichigo hasn’t always had access to Blut. Ichigo has only had access to Blut since episode 7 of TYBW and he doesn’t even have control over it.
Honestly, Ichigo may have the most asspull power-ups I have ever seen in a shonen anime. Like, nothing was foreshadowed; he just suddenly became a descendant of whatever or got a random power-up with no explanation whenever the story called for it.
Actually it was foreshadowed that Ichigo was a quincy since old zangetsu's first appearance. And there was a small hint that he was part hollow during his training with urahara to unlock his powers
In a hypothetical continuation of the manga, it would be interesting to see Ichigo put in a situation where he has to battle various demons but each restricting him to only one aspect of his many powers to give him the time to develop each on the way to battling fhe final boss in any eventual Hell arc. Having the deceased friends and foes to date return as evil demons would be interesting.
You forgot one thing yeah as a main character of a anime ichigo is one of the most broken but don’t forget that he is also one of the most dripped out main characters in anime history they went all in on ichigos dripped and while in his soul reaper form they stepped it up each time he got stronger and as we progressed through the chapters and episodes

Bleach has one of the coolest self discovery arcs in anime. Ichigo reacts to life the way I wish I would. Attacking head on and never changing who I am for others. Only to improve and protect what I value. Same with Chad. Who I think is the man.

Not every Fullbringer has a piece of the Soul King, that factor is left at random according to each body part's will. Every other person just survived a Hollow attack or was born from a mother who did. Also, Ichibe wanted to turn him into the next one by force if they didn't find a suitable replacement after the war.

That's what I like about big 3 . The protagonist are op from the start but not like some anime's in which protagonist are just flexing their power and making the series boring . Being Powerful from the start is good , but being overpowered from the start is not good . In big 3 , we every MC's growth and character development is so good . For example Ichigo' was OP from the day he born but after becoming or awakened his soul reaper powers it's not like that he can beat anyone and anytime. We saw his growth day by day , becoming stronger, training harder and defeating stronger enemies. Same goes for Naruto in most of the case and also Luffy .

If you compare them from each appearance, you can see the mask change hollow power levels from a gillian to an adjuchas, then finally a vasto lorde.

Well, technically Aizen would be above Ichigo as he is immortal and evolves each time hes on the verge of death which means eventually he can surpass Ichigo`s powers.
Theres a comment by one @MrGini who said Ichigo mastered all his abilities with no training. Throughout the series Ichigo undergoes training, often racing against the clock and sometimes being told "if you fail you will die." He almost died in the first season, and clawed his way back to having his shinigami powers, and died in Hueco Mundo, unlocking his Vasto Lorde form. He threw away every ouncr of power to stop Aizen. He struggled with fullbring to get his powers back. Yes there have been deus ex machina moments, but hes put in as much work as most other anime protags, and suffered all along the way.

Ichibei and the original 5 royal families are disgusting , what they did to the soul king was atrocious. And when Ywach was threatening to beat them they even considered doing the same to Ichigo, if the series was not rushed in the end this plot twist would have been great imo. The soul king was just a trapped overpowered being doing the command of the 5 families to maintain balance between Hueco Mundo, Seretei and Humans, possibly even hell. I'm guessing Yhwach saw that existence as pitiful and loathed the Shinigami as a result, since he was overpowered like his father he spread fragments on his soul to create an army that could rival the soul reapers.. was it right? from the pov of Shinigamis no, but he could care less if eradicating hollows caused seretei to collapse as long as the entities that trapped a being similar to him were done with. Bleach is one of the only anime where this doesn't feel like a bs plot device, but made to further the plot instead, and it's part of the main story. That seems to be very hard for writers to accomplish, but the writer for bleach, whoever they are, handled it quite well, and made sure it was a plot point, rather than a plot device

Soul reapers powers can neutralize the weekness. It is explained in "everything but the rain" with Ichgos mom and dad.
Ichigo soul reaper powers are mixed with his hollow powers so yeah they are poisonous to him ...
Hollows are poisonous to Quincies but Soul Reapers negate that effect, its explained in the episode where we get his full family story and how his mom was bitten by a hollow and his Dads Shinigami powers suppressed the Hollow`s poisonous effect on her.
This is why all Shinigami`s can potentially have a hollofication process which even makes them stronger if they learn to connect the two powers together but Quincies cannot do that and any form of bind with a hollow will poison them.
The soul reaper part balances it, urahara saved masaki exactly by using isshin's soul reaper powers to seal the hollow, since soul reapers are the opposite of the hollows

To anyone who doesn't know, this has a reason beyond just protagonism, in the Japanese buddhism there's a belief that all the beings are made of 4 souls, the 4 mitamas, and each is represented by one of the 4 races of bleach, ara mitama/angry soul (hollow), nigi mitama/peaceful soul (human), saki mitama/happy soul (soul reaper), kusi mitama/wondrous soul (quincy). So ichigo, by having all the 4 spirits, is the only complete being in bleach, thus why Ichibe was thinking about him to be the new soul king
There's a reason, you may not like it, but there's a reason, and a pretty deep one. Bleach is a pretty deep manga highly based in the Japanese Buddhism, with themes of self-knowledge, enlightenment and growing, thus why Ichigo being a "complete being" is nothing less than expected or justified. But sadly, due the cultural barrier and the general prejudices against shounen manga, thinking that they are just shallow fighting stories to please teenagers, many people totally missed this deeper meaning and misinterpreted most of the characters

You forgot about Blut Artery. Unlike Blut Vene, which focuses on defence, Blut Artery is the offensive form of Blut. We never actually see it used but it acts as a sort of power up for Quincies.
It’s important to note that Ichigo hasn’t always had access to Blut. Ichigo has only had access to Blut since episode 7 of TYBW and he doesn’t even have control over it.
Honestly, Ichigo may have the most asspull power-ups I have ever seen in a shonen anime. Like, nothing was foreshadowed; he just suddenly became a descendant of whatever or got a random power-up with no explanation whenever the story called for it.

In a hypothetical continuation of the manga, it would be interesting to see Ichigo put in a situation where he has to battle various demons but each restricting him to only one aspect of his many powers to give him the time to develop each on the way to battling fhe final boss in any eventual Hell arc. Having the deceased friends and foes to date return as evil demons would be interesting.
