The functions of a software are only as powerful as they can be practically explained to the potential user. These videos make the functions of Melodyne, and their practical usefulness, very clear. Consequently, this video *makes* Melodyne _more powerful._ Thumbs up!
I love watching this channel and getting psyched... got Assist and yearning for Editor to try separately editing harmonizing vocals recorded on the same track!
Can I use the ARA version to bring in a third party drum such as Superior or EZ drummer to reference? Or do I need to do everything outside of ARA to use a VST drum kit? You can't mix ARA and non ARA into the Melodyne Track List is that correct? Thanks for another great tut on this!
Not sure if we understand your question. As long as your track has an instance of Melodyne studio on it, you should be able to see it in the Melodyne window and also use it as a reference track in the Quantize Time macro. If this is not what you mean, please feel free to reach out to our support team: www.celemony.com/support - Thank you!
@@celemony Thank you. I couldn't combine ARA and non ARA but I solved this by bouncing the drummer track which makes it an audio track so all working now. Now I understand ARA will only work with audio tracks so all makes sense now! Thanks again.
Thanks for this tutorial. If you say wanted to adjust timing and pitch for something like acoustic guitar, would you recommend doing the timing correction first in universal then bouncing that edit and loading Melodyne again in polyphonic for the pitch correction?
I am shocked on how good Melodyne makes my vocals sound in every way thank you! When will you have the upgrade sale again I have assistant and would like to update to Melodyne 5 Studio
The Quantize Time macro is available in all Melodyne editions, so you should be able to follow along. The multi-track features, however, are only available in Melodyne studio.
melodyne is pure magic, and rich is such a gifted instructor!
Thanks a lot! 🙂

That’s great, thanks for watching!
Referencing a track for time instead of the grid is a gold tip
Fantastic powerful functions you show us here, thanks a lot, much appreciated- didn’t know that Melodyne could do this kind of time adjustments!
You’re very welcome.
Excellent tutorial. Very helpful. Thank you
I always look forward to the next video! You help the community SO MUCH with these! Thank you!!
Absolutely great video.

This is a really great video - I thought I knew Melodyne inside and out but I learned a lot here. Thanks for doing this!
Excellent!!, thanks. I love your videos
You're a really good instructor.
Dude, I thought I knew how to use Melodyne, you just nuked my mind... My jaw's gonna need days before it can close again...
love it thanks. can you do a video on tempo smoothing
Well done! You really know what you’re doing! Perhaps using a vocalist that’s actually not in tune might be a more effective example. ;-)

What version of Melodyne do you need to do all this stuff? I can't seem to do most of it..

@@celemony Thanks! Specifically, it's the quantise to another reference track feature that I'm really interested in.
Yes, that’s in Melodyne studio.
@@celemony is quantizing to another reference track available in essential or assistant?
