Nice work. Simple tools. I love it. I like to know some of the history on the vintage tools and equipment. I see clamps machines and bunch of other old vintage stuff. Too cool. Old tools tell a story. Yours can write a book!
@fitzee’s fabrication Yes tony! I’m the same love the old tools and the people that I’ve acquired them from. One of coolest guys I got tools from built his own mining equipment, mined for gold, refined his gold and made gold jewellery. Never got to meet the guy but wished I did.
@@MakeItKustom wow that would have been an awesome conversation if you did. It's extremely rare to meet people like that and i always take advantage of the opportunity when it presents itself. Its terrible unfortunate those opportunities are fewer every year. Its good to see there are people picking up where they left off. One day you will be the story tellers in trusted with the past. Keep the skill and passion alive brother.
Most channels add some music, and most channels have its volume too loud, so you can't hear the narrator. I love the volume of your music. Just noticeable and soothing, but not overpowering.
Agree, I just watched one from a South African company builds G40s. As impressive and dedication to building a road driven 40, man the music was shocking. My mate who posted it said who ever done the audio, must of been drunk
I have to comment on the music, very well done. I often give up on watching videos because I cannot make out the dialog for the noise in the background. I never have that problem with your videos. great music, well placed. thank you. Eric the 71 year old curmudgeon in Victoria.
Thank you for taking the time to do these videos. I spent 25 years in precision sheet metal and prototype sheet metal building computer and machinery housings and display units so I know and appreciate the amount of time that it takes to do what you're doing. I like your attitude about finding a way to get things done and the way you break things down to simple components.
Karl, I want you to know I have deep gratitude for your efforts to share the knowledge of your craft. I realize you (and your spouse) have been pouring hundreds of hours into these videos. They are so well done and so helpful. My next project is a refresh of a roadster that has been in my family for 60 years. The things you are teaching me are literally helping me better honor my family.
I am a retired Master Craftsman and I love watching you teaching the old simple ways of building stuff. This is the training that should be taught in the trade schools before anyone is allows to use the machines. I also like the way you model the use of safety equipment, I would be able to hear and see better if I had been taught to use safety equipment 45 years ago. Keep up the great teaching to keep the trades alive. Cheers Mike.
I like everything about this…clear and concise, excellent explanation, clean shop, no obnoxious music or antics, excellent editing. I wish him all the success!
Yes, Yes, Cool Cool. I have watched a number of your videos and based off of seeing the way you do things this brace is exactly how I thought you would do it. Excellent.
Tip from an old electrician. Don't worry about centering it. As long as each hole you dimple, you put the tool on the high or low side. The width center will stay true and you'd never noticed the last hole being a tad low or high.
Yours and Fitzee's are some of my favorite channels. Basically I like that you both break it down into bite sized pieces to keep from getting too overwhelmed.
Reading the "replies" sends me to ever more interesting videos with techniques I've seen the results of, but not having seen how it's done. I don't think I'll be doing much sheet metal work, but I think I can do a better job making the tooling, better understanding of how it's used, and the problems that need special attention. I really enjoyed seeing those curves welded in, really nice technique.
Hallo, super Video, wie die anderen auch. Ist immer wieder cool dir zuzuschauen wie aus einem Stück Blech etwas schönes und brauchbares entsteht. Dankeschön für die vielen nützlichen Tipps und Tricks. Bitte weitermachen.....:))
You've quickly become one of my favorite channels to watch. Excellent content and you deliver it so well. Easy to watch, enjoy, and understand. Thank you Karl. Great job!
Thank you for a clear and concise monologue along with the content. It is so nice to understand what is being said without constant you know, and like, and umm and regular gratuitous cursing. I like to watch these videos at home with my kids around and not have to censor content because of language, you are MOSTLY pretty good about that. You and old Derek at VGG do a great job at being family friendly without being stupid. Keep up the GREAT work! Try and get the Mrs on camera more often too, she also does great work.
I would just like to mention I really do apreciate you guys keeping the power tool noises quiet, even some well established channels dont have that figured out. I'm always using headphones so if I get an earful I will always leave so I really do apreciate it.
Another great video Karl, the only thing I would add is make sure what ever hammer you are using to brake the edges over has a smooth face so you are not transfering a bunch of nick and marks into your piece.
Good work mate. I’m a cabinet maker have been for 30+ years. I’ve loved cars all my life and now that I have time and space I’m starting to rebuild them and the tips and tricks you have on your channel are making my time in the garage more fun.
С искренним восторгом смотрю ваш сюжет! Много лет посвятил металлообработке, однако редко выпадает удача видеть такие годные видео!!! Спасибо! Успехов!!!
Every time I watch your video's, I am so impressed and learn so much. Thank you very much for sharing your knowledge and experiences with all of us here on your channel. It is such a great benefit to your community and myself.
Karl you are a talented blessing to us fabbers and so is your wife doing the filming. Thanks to guys like you and Fitzee for sharing your knowledge. P.S. Hope your workshops/classes vision happens!
Awesome video. Glad you mentioned Bello's on one on your recent ones too. You two guys are inspirational metal workers/fabricators/custom car builders. 🤘
This brace came out beautifully. As always i very much enjoyed watching it and i picked up some very useful knowledge doing it. Keep doing what your doing brother. Your keeping the past alive and teaching the future generations to do the same. A skill is never lost if there is but one person willing to keep it alive and pass it on.
I've watched several of your videos today. I'll probably never use any of the techniques you describe or the tools you build but I still find it fascinating watching a craftsman do his work.
Anything I do takes longer than I thought it would lol. You and Fitzee are the masters of using simple tools and no drama. Nicely done, I'll use this for in-trunk bracing and dual battery box, thanks.
Thank you for being willing to share skills.i have always kind of avoided sheet metal. I am primarily a blacksmith and welder for about 25 years.. I used to be a car mechanic when I was young and still do some car work. Watching your videos has gotten me excited about the idea of doing some custom car work for myself. Thank you very much for that. These videos are awesome!
I'm just shade away from 70 yrs old and you are the most informative fabricator I've seen on you tube, I through enjoy your how to build you own tools, since I am a pensioner on a fixed income, that is so helpful to me. I love to build old hot rods and doing as much as I can myself. Keep up these great videos and I'll keep watching you and learning....Thanks Karl
I really enjoy going to school with you as the teacher when I have the time to watch. I always learn something new and wish I had more time and space to do more of this on my own.
Another great video! I learned something new today. Great skills and teaching ability plus the excellent filming and editing by your wife makes for very enjoyable viewing!
Just found you a couple days ago and I'm hooked already, so easy to watch and learn new skill with out any bullshit. This is the best content on the internet, your a legend. 👍👍👍👍👍👍
Ditto to comment below! Thanks for your time. I also worked in precision sheet metal and learned some things. Always fun to watch someone building awesome things, having fun and sharing what they learned.
I was thinking while I was watching you that I have seen Fitzee's do the same thing for the curved sections when he makes up patch panels. I see he is following along. You do some nice work, thanks for all.the tutorials.
Gotta say, you've really got a knack for this; your informative and to the point and really good at explaining things in a brief yet descriptive way. Keep it up! Beautiful custom work
Just wanted to thank you for taking the trouble to make this content freely available to us fans. I was asking myself what I like about all you guys - Yourself, Fitzee, Wray etc. etc. I'm sure it is just a matter of a simple honest presentation and a good dose of skill doesn't go amiss :) My thanks to all of you. Thank you Karl for the brilliant video, you really answered my question by doing this video 👍 just watching you makes me want to get back into metalwork. I just feel like it's in my blood. Thanks again. Best wishes from Aix-en-Provence France 🇫🇷

Congratulations on the new digs

My man!!!!! I been busy, trying to catch up on all the videos! This is gonna be great!!!!
