SVS is the better choice sound wise
I tried the Prime Towers a few years ago and I prefer this sound. It’s a bit smoother, I found the Primes to be a little to analytical for my taste.

How sharp are the highs? All cool technical stuff aside, for a dedicated room for music, theater and gaming, how would you compare the sound of these to the Kef Q950? Not that I'm in love with them, it's just the best that I can afford and that my Denon x3800h would drive and that I could actually listen to them before I buying because it was on display in the showroom. How would you compare this to the Bowers & Wilkins 700 Series (the best sound in that showroom)? It's taking a big leap of faith to buy speakers that I haven't listened to first, so i'm really trusting you. Thanks.
Great review - I am actually looking at getting this set. It sell for 6.3k, but was wondering if it would sound better if I get 4 concept 50 towers to replace the 2 smaller on the back. Will it make a difference on sound quality ? Thanks

I am purchasing them tomorrow. I wanted to see what else other companies might have released this year. After looking at many others I’m still getting these.
Can you compare them with Arendals?
And do you have any plans to review Polk reserve series.
I am trying to chose between Polk R700-400-700 LRC + 4 R200s
And Arendal 1723 tower, center and maybe smaller and cheaper surrounds.
Yes, I’ll talk about them compared to the Arendals. Right now I don’t have plans to review any Polks but if I’m able to get a pair I’ll review them.

I am especially asking about Polk Reserves because many reviewers called them king of the budget speakers.
Audioholics reviewers couldn’t even tell that Arendal 1723 towers are better than Polk R700.

for movies ( i use mainly for movies , can you give input on following 3 setups i am considering :
SETUP 1:
Concept 30 ( fronts ) , Concept 90 ( center ) , 3010i ( surrounds)?
OR
SETUP 2:
3030i ( fronts ) , 3090i ( center ) , 3010i ( surrounds)?
OR
SETUP 3:
3030i ( fronts ) , Concept 90 ( center), 3010i ( surrounds)?
The concept series is reasonably better (costs double to tripple). The tweeter is not the same, the mid-base-driver is not the same, cheaper enclosure, sonically they have both the Q Acoustics sound. In my opinion the concept 90 profit the most of the gel-core enclosure: Voices/dialogues are so clear, no resonances with higher volume, really happy with it. I would never mix series. I have an 11.2 Auro Setup with the concept series. 300 are the Mains, 90 center, rest with 30 (exept the center-height is a concept 90 as well. 7x 30‘s).
In my opinion the QB12 is not the concept subwoofer. It is „just“ a subwoofer. (For my expectations/opinion it can not keep up with the clarity/neutrality of the concept-speakers. It has nether the enclosure design nore the resonators from the 500/50 in it).
Last word to the 300 vs 30: Sonically quite similar. The 300 has a bit more detail and stronger bass. The finish/stands are on another level (the main reason why we chose it for the mains over the 30’s (or 50‘s).

Can you please share your opinion? Im looking for more clarity.
I like the Concept 90, it's a little warmer than the Klipsch sound, so voices sound a bit more natural in my opinion.

Thank you! Great question......... The HECOs are slightly bright while the 1723S is neutral, and the Concepts are slightly warm. Both the 1723S and Concept 50 cabinets are better damped than the HECO so the sounds are a bit cleaner/ more pure. The concept 50 also has more depth in the image than either the 1723S or HECOs and I like that when listening to music, it's more realistic. The HECOs and 1723S have a bit more height to an image when required.
I'm finishing my edit of the Arendal 1961 Towers review. I've included an audio sample with the Concept 50s so check back in a day or so and that review will be posted. Hopefully this helps. 😁

Would be great if you could compare 3050i to concept 50! I have 3050i in my 5.1.2 setup. I'm saving for a separate hifi system, and I'm really considering concept 50. There are so many speakers to choose from. What's your favourite speakers for music listening around 2000usd, preferably under. Thank you for your great content!

I have had a pair of Concept 50 in a 2 channel audio setup for a week, love them. No regrets at all.
Most of the time I agree with your opinion regarding home theater material and equipment, but when it comes to stereo music particularly in regards to audio file sound quality I afraid you fall miserably short.
You must be the only reviewer that says the 3030i almost compares to the concept 30, the 3030i overall presentation is no where near the concept 30 detailed and holographic soundstage, for £899 there is no better stand mount speaker up to a £1000 and with a build quality far above its price range.
And dear I say it, can even kick it with certain other over hyped speakers e.g kef, sonos... I'll leave to readers to work out which model's I'm referring to.

How do Q Acoustics 3020i/3030i and concept 30 compare to Wharfdale Diamond 12.1?
I don't know but they also have the Concept 20.

What av receiver do you recommend for this
Most mid-range to upper end receivers should work well. I'm a little partial to the Yamaha Aventage series but I hear great things about Marantz Cinema Series, Anthem MRX series, and Arcam
