If your choke is working properly on these vehicles you only push the pedal to the floor once, let up and start they run on fast idle, after a minute or so tap the pedal and it returns to normal idle speed and away you go .
Yeah… the previous owner put a edelbrock carb on it and didn’t hook up any of these… honestly it’s such a poor man’s set up 😂, the choke works because it’s electronic but the idle kick down isn’t hooked up.. so I have to manually hold the gas. Gonna get a whole new carb on it sometime.. this carb is from 2005 so it’s seen better days

Correct procedure but everything has to be set up just right. Often requires several adjustments over time to get it there.
More heat less foam!
