No it won’t but it’s a step in the right direction. These people are human beings and they have a right to be clothed sheltered and fed. We need to open FREE rehabilitation centers that will keep addicts for more than 10 days. 10 days is barely enough time to get over the detox sometimes it can take even longer than that for people to fully detox, once a person is fully detoxed that’s when therapy comes into play and the rebuilding of one’s self to become a better person and relearn how to take care of themselves physically,mentally and spiritually.

He had his family and friends support money to help him get clean but he wasn’t ready . He told me it wasn’t until her decided he was tired of it that he could get clean.
Six months clean thanks to methadone. Gained 15lbs that was much needed, gained trust back with my family, and found happiness through daily life. My heart goes out to the people still struggling with that life.

I thank God above that I haven't came in contact with that horse tranquilizers that's ruining so many people. I cant believe the doctor couldnt say why the sores form....its because prolonged use of Zyzlazene causes skin tissue to not oxygenate ...therefore it becomes vulnerable to infection, especially if hygiene is in question...
Believe it, because doctors aren't the end-all, be-all regarding medical information. Most just tow the party line, pushing the BigPharma pills you beg for, because you saw some stupid commercial for it.

I do not remember the name of it. I just knew it was horse tranquilizer. He was mentally disabled after that and couldn’t even tell me his name. When he did talk, we didn’t know what he was saying. This was 10 years ago. He may not even be alive now but I knew him for a couple years and he never got better after that. One mistake like that and it cost him his life. So incredibly sad
Even if OP does know the exact drug (and it is unclear that she even would), it is pretty irrelevant. Virtually any substance that can induce respiratory depression (most certainly including a ‘horse tranquilizer’) can cause hypoxia and lead to irreversible brain damage. It is unlikely the drug itself directly caused that level of damage.
I used to be an Industrial Paramedic for some time and a Fire and Rescue Volunteer for nearly 40 years. I have seen some "challenging" sights which have little or no effect on me. These xylazine ulcers shocked me. Savage Sisters!! Angels of Mercy more like. I am totally impressed with their resolve to make a difference and help these people.

What would testing for xylazine change about the hospital treatment they receive? If you're treating the wound, xylazine use or not, the wound treatment would likely be the same.
It’s about the horrible withdrawal, it’s the number one reason things got this bad. The normal drugs they have used for medical withdrawals do not work with this combo of drugs.

Being from the rut town of Philly, and coming from generational drug addiction, and overcoming hard core drug use,, I am thankful to the Almighty I made it out alive and with a semblance of a whole mind. I've seen this for years, have many family members that succumbed to this epidemic, including my mother, father, closest aunt, 1 st cousin, several old friends and I have some walking dead and very damaged living family members. The depth and reach of this wicked scourge can not be understated. I had to leave Philly in the early 2000's or I may not have been here today. That part of town has been bad since I can remember, and when I go visit family in NE, its much worse now, its EVERYWHERE.
On a news story on Fox, this story was covered and the girl that was interviewed who was a user and lived in Kensington, said it was literally "night of the living dead" there. This must be the zombie apocalypse we were told about.

Even if you are just in it for the cheap thrills (and not running from pain/trauma), once the physical dependence sets in, you are often stuck in that scene. Withdrawal from fent (let alone carfent) is excruciating.
They are avoiding getting dope sick very quickly after the first few times of trying fentanyl. Apparently it's super addictive, most likely designed that way.
This is how addiction works. In NA I learned that by the time I saw I was killing myself, it was too far along for me to pull out. I needed help. Thank God, in whom I did not then believe, I got help.

Don't think for one minute that I haven't thought about using want I was trained for to go out and exact my rage/revenge/vigilantism. Have to agree 100%. I have/had a friend who's an alcoholic and I feel like I truly tried everything in my power to help him after a relapse. But nothing seemed to work. And that's just with alcohol... I absolutely can't imagine doing the work these women are doing.

Just having treatment centers is not the answer, people's need to want the help. Less than 10% of those who enroll in treatment actually finish. Most leave and go back to the same routine. Trust me, I have a lot of experience dealing with this.

All my God I'm a recovering IV user I been clean for some time and doing great but when I tell my story I tell people I smelt like death, when I sleep at night I could smell like rotted flesh. This stuff tears your body up, there should be a state of emergency to get this poison off the street. This stuff knocks u out, u can't remember anything it's horrible, I pray for anyone struggling, by the grace of God and my faith in him I I prayed and prayed for him to take my life in that addiction but he got me through it and changed my life.

I have and agree with Yvonne plant. I have had friends and a cousin, steal money, and my work vehicle. They drove it to a city in southern jersey and sold basically all my tools, almost 30,000 to replace everything, not to mention the downtime my busniess experienced. I did get the vehicle back, as they were nice enough to bring the truck back. This was after paying for a 90-day treatment that this person finished and was staying in my house. Was in my house for an additional 3 months with no issues, I went away for a couple of days, and this is what i came home to.other two involved were sober for almost 3 years. This was the thanks I got. A sad reality is so few addicts want to clean up their act.

Oh, my god. Those wounds are horrific. How long has the war on drugs been going on for now? 60/70/80 years? How much money has been spent? Countless billions. Has the situation improved? I think we would all agree that, if anything, the problem has got worse since then. Time to rethink drug laws and try something new.
My life experience is, that an addict always will stay an addict. If one is able to kick one habit, it`s just a addiction delayed. An addict will always stay vulnerable, easy to seduce and more likely to relapse, maybe with another drug or extremly bad behaviour. In the long run it`s almost impossible to live a normal life. So better never start using drugs.
Especially without supernatural deliverance. I've relapsed at least 3xs been clean going on 3 years this time. I don't have a heavy urge but I still want the feeling at times. It's the mental reminder of what that first high felt like
Well good thing your life is very sheltered and your experience limited then. Because many, many addicts still live a “normal” life. Not only that, but are successful. Wes Watson is an extreme example. Former addict turned multi millionaire. I’m a more average example. Was an addict using drugs until 24. Now at 40, I make over 6 figures a year and have a good life. You think the few hundred addicts living on the street is an example of “addiction”? Those are the super extreme cases. Most addicts are “functioning”. They have a house, a job, kids, etc. And live a “normal” life. What you consider “vulnerable” actually can be an asset. Many addicts funnel their “addiction” into a healthy behaviour. Exercise, a job, a hobby, a career, a passion, and are able to excel to a massive degree, due to their dedication to that thing Additionally, there’s plenty, plenty of people who aren’t drug addicts that still live lives that are far from “normal” and struggle to get by in life

For many addicts, it comes to a point where they are ready for change. They can’t live that way anymore. The pain of changing for the better, becomes easier than the pain of staying the same. But the great thing can be that they / we take the hard lessons learned through that life and apply it to our future When I quit abusing drugs at 24, it still took me until 30/31 before I was really “successful” and doing well. But the point is, it can be and is done by people all the time

Last time,after heavier use,took 30 days to get out of bed. That was just H and maybe,a little fent. Honestly,I can’t really say on this new tranq shit because I didn’t complete the withdrawal phase. All I know is that after I did score some of the more standard shit,it’s like the sickness just wouldn’t completely leave. A mere drop in the bucket,so to speak. It leaves you wanting more…chasing a completely different dragon,now. As if the heroin dragon wasn’t beastly enough,trying to erase your hopes and dreams for any future,these fentanyl and xylazine additives are the sidekicks of Satan and they will not be satisfied until they own your very life and soul.

I knew someone who injected horse tranquilizer and he literally became mentally disabled and his mother had to care for him for the rest of his life. He didn’t know anything that was going on in the world. So awful
was it ketamine. that stuff is a lot of fun if u dont abuse it. but i dont mean to be immature or downplay your comment. just my experience. it was over 10 years ago now.
I do not remember the name of it. I just knew it was horse tranquilizer. He was mentally disabled after that and couldn’t even tell me his name. When he did talk, we didn’t know what he was saying. This was 10 years ago. He may not even be alive now but I knew him for a couple years and he never got better after that. One mistake like that and it cost him his life. So incredibly sad

Even if OP does know the exact drug (and it is unclear that she even would), it is pretty irrelevant. Virtually any substance that can induce respiratory depression (most certainly including a ‘horse tranquilizer’) can cause hypoxia and lead to irreversible brain damage. It is unlikely the drug itself directly caused that level of damage.
I used to be an Industrial Paramedic for some time and a Fire and Rescue Volunteer for nearly 40 years. I have seen some "challenging" sights which have little or no effect on me. These xylazine ulcers shocked me. Savage Sisters!! Angels of Mercy more like. I am totally impressed with their resolve to make a difference and help these people.
I think money helping these junkies us a complete waste. What about helping people who aren't junkies and working minimum wage jobs who ca t make rent. There the type of person l want my taxes to go to. Not to junkies who all they are us a cancer on society!!

What would testing for xylazine change about the hospital treatment they receive? If you're treating the wound, xylazine use or not, the wound treatment would likely be the same.
i think its more for handling overdoses, and people being educated on what they are putting in their bodies.
It’s about the horrible withdrawal, it’s the number one reason things got this bad. The normal drugs they have used for medical withdrawals do not work with this combo of drugs.

Being from the rut town of Philly, and coming from generational drug addiction, and overcoming hard core drug use,, I am thankful to the Almighty I made it out alive and with a semblance of a whole mind. I've seen this for years, have many family members that succumbed to this epidemic, including my mother, father, closest aunt, 1 st cousin, several old friends and I have some walking dead and very damaged living family members. The depth and reach of this wicked scourge can not be understated. I had to leave Philly in the early 2000's or I may not have been here today. That part of town has been bad since I can remember, and when I go visit family in NE, its much worse now, its EVERYWHERE.

On a news story on Fox, this story was covered and the girl that was interviewed who was a user and lived in Kensington, said it was literally "night of the living dead" there. This must be the zombie apocalypse we were told about.

I was aware of Kensington streets for a while and it breaks my heart watching all those substance dependent users and it makes me wonder what pain are they trying to escape by taking any drugs on the market that they can get their hands on 😢😢😢 This is so sad...
Even if you are just in it for the cheap thrills (and not running from pain/trauma), once the physical dependence sets in, you are often stuck in that scene. Withdrawal from fent (let alone carfent) is excruciating.
They are avoiding getting dope sick very quickly after the first few times of trying fentanyl. Apparently it's super addictive, most likely designed that way.
This is how addiction works. In NA I learned that by the time I saw I was killing myself, it was too far along for me to pull out. I needed help. Thank God, in whom I did not then believe, I got help.

That's why many rehabs don't work for them like it would normally work for someone addicted to coke, speed or alcohol. It's a totally different beast.

Watching this is so hard I'm 43 and I'm recovering addict and thank you 🙏 for the help that you women at Savage me being a recovering addict you would think it would be easy for me to watch this but it's not it's hard sad 😢 and everything in between hope hope hope I keep hoping in my heart that every addict can find their way .

I'm retired military with a Combat Arms and Law Enforcement background. The loss of my daughter really hit hard. And the Blame Game goes in every direction to this day. Don't think for one minute that I haven't thought about using want I was trained for to go out and exact my rage/revenge/vigilantism. But deep down I know it'll never work because

Yet their own stories show you that it is achievable and that you can absolutely turn your life around. Now imagine they help just one person to do this. Have to agree 100%. I have/had a friend who's an alcoholic and I feel like I truly tried everything in my power to help him after a relapse. But nothing seemed to work. And that's just with alcohol... I absolutely can't imagine doing the work these women are doing.

Just having treatment centers is not the answer, people's need to want the help. Less than 10% of those who enroll in treatment actually finish. Most leave and go back to the same routine. Trust me, I have a lot of experience dealing with this.

All my God I'm a recovering IV user I been clean for some time and doing great but when I tell my story I tell people I smelt like death, when I sleep at night I could smell like rotted flesh. This stuff tears your body up, there should be a state of emergency to get this poison off the street. This stuff knocks u out, u can't remember anything it's horrible, I pray for anyone struggling, by the grace of God and my faith in him I I prayed and prayed for him to take my life in that addiction but he got me through it and changed my life.

I have and agree with Yvonne plant. I have had friends and a cousin, steal money, and my work vehicle. They drove it to a city in southern jersey and sold basically all my tools, almost 30,000 to replace everything, not to mention the downtime my busniess experienced. I did get the vehicle back, as they were nice enough to bring the truck back. This was after paying for a 90-day treatment that this person finished and was staying in my house. Was in my house for an additional 3 months with no issues, I went away for a couple of days, and this is what i came home to.other two involved were sober for almost 3 years. This was the thanks I got. A sad reality is so few addicts want to clean up their act.

My life experience is, that an addict always will stay an addict. If one is able to kick one habit, it`s just a addiction delayed. An addict will always stay vulnerable, easy to seduce and more likely to relapse, maybe with another drug or extremly bad behaviour. In the long run it`s almost impossible to live a normal life.
So better never start using drugs.
Especially without supernatural deliverance. I've relapsed at least 3xs been clean going on 3 years this time. I don't have a heavy urge but I still want the feeling at times. It's the mental reminder of what that first high felt like
Well good thing your life is very sheltered and your experience limited then. Because many, many addicts still live a “normal” life. Not only that, but are successful. Wes Watson is an extreme example. Former addict turned multi millionaire. I’m a more average example. Was an addict using drugs until 24. Now at 40, I make over 6 figures a year and have a good life.
You think the few hundred addicts living on the street is an example of “addiction”? Those are the super extreme cases. Most addicts are “functioning”. They have a house, a job, kids, etc. And live a “normal” life.
What you consider “vulnerable” actually can be an asset. Many addicts funnel their “addiction” into a healthy behaviour. Exercise, a job, a hobby, a career, a passion, and are able to excel to a massive degree, due to their dedication to that thing
Additionally, there’s plenty, plenty of people who aren’t drug addicts that still live lives that are far from “normal” and struggle to get by in life

And you’re absolutely right. For many addicts, it comes to a point where they are ready for change. They can’t live that way anymore. The pain of changing for the better, becomes easier than the pain of staying the same. But the great thing can be that they / we take the hard lessons learned through that life and apply it to our future
When I quit abusing drugs at 24, it still took me until 30/31 before I was really “successful” and doing well. But the point is, it can be and is done by people all the time

In Puerto Rico I saw a lot of folks, before 2010, with open wounds and they even lost limbs. The drugs are mixed with horse anesthesia.

@@Pauldad1692 The community as a whole “chose the situation they are in”, not just the addicts. All the addicts are just a symptom of a greater societal problem. If there was incentive counter to the current situation, be it law enforcement, treatment, whatever, the addicts will still need to make a living to improve their lives once the disease is arrested.. most of the community look down on them, so it discourages them from even trying. They need a supportive community to come together and help them with a hand up to the recovery process.
We need to start looking at the one waiting in line right behind Xylazine. You know it's there !

It’s hit the Midwest,as well. This shit hits in a COMPLETELY different manner than straight heroin. A user CANNOT fight off the urge for slumber. It just overwhelms you. It’s not cool,waking up on the floor. But,at least,I was fortunate enough to wake up. Plus,coming off of the stuff is TEN times as hard as coming off of heroin. Walking a tightrope of death.
As you’re aware,the longer one uses,the longer the withdrawal period. Long ago,3 days off of H and I was good. Then,it took a week…nine days,something like that. Last time,after heavier use,took 30 days to get out of bed. That was just H and maybe,a little fent. Honestly,I can’t really say on this new tranq shit because I didn’t complete the withdrawal phase. All I know is that after I did score some of the more standard shit,it’s like the sickness just wouldn’t completely leave. A mere drop in the bucket,so to speak. It leaves you wanting more…chasing a completely different dragon,now. As if the heroin dragon wasn’t beastly enough,trying to erase your hopes and dreams for any future,these fentanyl and xylazine additives are the sidekicks of Satan and they will not be satisfied until they own your very life and soul.
