i have the MG100dfx (single 12) and it rocks, and you can add a cab so you can do a lot with it. and it sounds great! got mine used. it was worth buying so if you are on the fence get it.

By add a cab you mean you u plug the 1x12 and plug it into a bigger cab? In that case you’d have to take both the combo and the cab to a gig? You don’t take the head out of the combo amp do you?

I have the head and thought it sounded like hell until I realized my pickups were too high! Lowered the pickups and now that baby sings. And chugs.

I bought this amp secondhand for $225 but it doesn’t have that foot switch and the other one doesn’t work properly so I just pick songs that don’t switch to clean lol overall it’s a great amp just wish I had the proper foot switch 🤷‍♂️

I think the people who shit on these amps either can't play or have never used one. A good guitar player can make any amp/cab sound great. Don't buy into the bullshit that only a tube marshall is right. You can't practice with a tube amp unless you have a attenuator and even that will not get the right sound. Get what you like not what others may think. I think these amps sound great nothing wrong with SS amps they will last much much longer. 2-4 grand for a damn amp head is insane.

Thanks. Is it a tune amp or not ?

I've had this amp since January and I cannot figure out how to adjust the equalisation. I have tried the damping it, turning it to manual, storing different eq settings, I have also tried playing and adjusting in different channels but no matter what I try, I the eq sounds exactly the same. Has anyone else had the same confusion and if so please could you tell me🙏

I have one of these, Its a head and cab. IDK if im just stupid or something, but what does the store button do?

in Marshall's release video's of the MG series they mentioned this: appearantly you can store presets for all four modes (clean, crunch, od1, od2) so you don't have to tweak every time you switch

I lost the screws that screw into and hold the head to the body of the amp itself. Are they a special kind of screw and how do I go about getting new ones?

I've had one since 2010 and I gotta say I'm not i.pressed with its power. Sounds good with nice effect pedals but on its own its weak...the tone isn't as good as other modern amps from say Mesa or something similar.

Its alright for the price and it looks good in the house.

This amp sounds like plastic that’s why it’s so cheap
