    Thank you for your video! I just bought an Olivetti Lettera 32 at a thrift store, for only € 1! It's beautiful and working well! I only didn't know how to adjust the right margin, which was set at 55 or something. Now that issue has been fixed :) I also got an Olivetti Studio 44 for € 1, it was my lucky day!

    Well organized nice video. I'm using Lettera 32 as well. I'm wondering how to type "=", as my keyboard doesn't have "=" letter. Your suggestion is highly appreciated.

    • @MrMrsVintageTypewriters
      @MrMrsVintageTypewriters  8 месяцев назад +1

      Unfortunately not all have it.
      Even trying to is not possible. Won’t be 100%
      Dash -
      Then back space
      Then _

      Many thanks for your suggestion. Although the = key is not used often, I’ve just wondered the professional aspect.

    Can you shed some insight on any mechanisms/tips to indicate the end of the page with the Olivetti 32 and it similar models such as DL and 33?

      Nice question. Unfortunately there is no indicator but I usually use my estimate or use a small pencil ✏️ to mark on left side the last line . Smith corona had indicators on its left side cog ⚙️ if the platen

    Any info about how much can cost an Olivetti 32?

  • @buildyear86
    @buildyear86 Год назад +2

    If it is made in Spain the tension lever is not there. Instead there is a tab on the left hand side of the crossbar under the lid (your side of the letter spool)

    • @MrMrsVintageTypewriters
      @MrMrsVintageTypewriters  Год назад

      Yes. That’s the later model in Spain 🇪🇸. They had small changes. Excellent observation and thanks for sharing 🙏🏼

      Why, if I can be so free, do you specifically prefer the Italian models? Is it a quality thing of a specific part, or multiple parts?

    • @MrMrsVintageTypewriters
      @MrMrsVintageTypewriters  Год назад +1

      nice question. the metal frame is sturdier, design is slight flatter, and the mechanism is more compact from the inside. small details we noticed while working on them.
