@@virgil5650 do you understand how much nonsense that comment is? What top level program is going to not crucify a coach that doesn't win first off? Coach Cal absolutely deserved the crucifixion he received. You think Duke fans or Kansas fans would not crucify both coaches if they didn't win? If Pope continues to do what he is doing by landing 2 major recruits and is on track for Wilson and Lewis possibly he will win. Byu last season with less talent than he has now was a 6 seed and beat Kansas. Yes they lost to an 11 seed as a 6 but Cal lost to Oakland lol. St. Peter's lol. So yes if Pope doesn't win just like at any top program he will get criticism but as a part of BBN we have faith and love that he is bringing us back to the roots of what made Kentucky a powerhouse in the 90s.

Were you not fed up with early tournament exits, and not only that, but the endless amount of smoke being blown up our asses? The “wait til next years” the “I haven’t seen him yet” the inability to give a straight answer to ANY question? Did you enjoy listening to deflection after deflection? The absolutely zero insight into the program in the social media age? Maybe you were ok with the university being turned into a device used to babysit draft picks instead of one that is based in winning? The lack of game planning and adjustment? Maybe you enjoyed seeing future nba all stars struggle to compete against least talented but better prepared teams? I mean, I could go on and on. It was time for a change. Kudos to Cal for finally recognizing it and in his inability to change his philosophy he choose to save what little face he had left and changed scenery instead.
I don’t understand your comment. You don’t get to ride that one title in 2012 your entire tenure to do things your way when it is in contrast with winning games. Not sorry at all about it. Fans first, players second. We’re paying them, not the other way around. We make this possible. Show us some honesty and humility, some accountability, some transparency…or gtfo. Try to win. Stop downplaying tournaments that fans spend an exorbitant amount of money to attend.
No love lost. Can’t wait to fry up some bacon and boo to him and all the players that followed him to a rival school. I can’t speak for everybody else, but I want blood and come February 2025 in rupp arena we shall have our day!

In pope we trust!!!!!! Let that sink in...... So pope played at Kentucky with some great players, that loved put that blue n white jersey on. He's got a lot eyes and brains, to help him with. Hopefully and I think he will, listen to them. Coach pope we do have 2 players that's been here. Grant Derbyshire, and walker horn been here for a few years. I know they won't play much, but can lead other guys about some things. What I love bout coach pope, is who he surrounded himself with, his coaching staff is solid!!!! He's got 2 best recruiter s in collage game, plus a young and excellent x and O's guy, in feuger. Gonna b a fun ride.
We will be in the final four next year. We will win the title in year 3.

I'd say he's just more down to earth, transparent, genuine, honest, and humorous than cal.
But that's just my opinion.
