I really enjoyed this one. Love Cody's perspective and the inside look at the development of the Pads. You guys are both class acts. I have had the opportunity to chat with Cody a few times regarding gear questions and he is always eager to help or guide or answer any questions. Truly a nice guy.
This is an amazing video. Thank you for sharing Dustin. Really re-enforces why Lefebvre is the industry leader in pad development. My stepson is currently in Warriors and he is willing himself to grow out of them to get a custom set.
Great interview! Very cool to get different perspectives from up & coming goalies... Even for this ‘Pro’ Beer Leaguer 🤣😎 (j/k) Also an honest review of the new Gear as well 🤘
Bones, in a walk through of the l20.1 you said to size down an inch due to the pad sitting higher on the leg. I notice with these, at least from what I can see online, the boot is also pretty shallow. Would you use the same caution with the 12.2?
As far as I know the sizing of the 12.2 is the same as the 12.1 and Eflex 4. And I think the sizing for the 20.1 is changed now that true has taken over things. I’d spend some extra time with the sizing chart to make sure you get the right fit
Yeah wait times are pretty crazy right now. Hopefully they can get caught up and we can see that drop down a bit. I’m hoping they open up another factory in Canada to help with production and keep the quality standards up
Personally, the "made in Canada" is not a very valid or good one. We're talking about sewing materials. Made in China or Vietnam or Bangladesh isn't necessarily bad. It comes down to how much quality control the company is enforcing. A lot of things are way more expensive here even though they use the same materials. We whine about oversea products on our made in overseas phones. Those devices require way more skill and tech than just sewing materials. There's some subtle racism in that argument imo. If a KIA has that same terrible reliability as a bimmer , we would call it crap. Just because bimmer is german and euro european...we say dumb shit like you should be able to afford the car instead of calling out how bad some of the corporate quality decisions really are and how they focus solely on profit. Same shit on goalie pads and equipment. Lefevre had no issues putting their name on the cheap materials ccm/rbk used. Broken internals in the glove hand have been a thing for a while.
I mostly agree with you. I’ve had a grand total of four sets of pads that were Canadian made over the years and every other set was made in China. For the most part I could never notice much of a difference and the China made gear performed just as well as a Canadian made set. At that point it’s mostly about the design and not about where it’s produced. But there’s just something special about getting gear built out of the lefevre factory. Built by the same hands and sewing machines with the exact same materials as the pros. I’m sure true is going to end up building stuff overseas to keep up with the demand but hopefully they can keep up the same quality control

Haha sounds like something I’d do as a kid. Glad you liked the video
Most comprehensive and concise review of goalie equipment! 👌Keep doing your thing!
Thanks Cody and Bonesy I can’t wait to get my hands on some L12.2’s
He’s like a true salesman (no pun intended), very informative!
Haha pretty punny nonetheless
I tried 😆🤷♂️
😂😂
I can’t wait for a full review of the pads!
One of these days!! Hopefully sooner than later
Awesome video as always Patrick Bro-roy 👊🏻
Haha thanks bro!

Haha always awesome to get that pro perspective. I’m excited to see how this next year goes for Cody too
Does he look like a beer leaguer? Haha
That ‘pro beer leaguer’ comment was to myself= 43yo getting paid to play......with beer after the games 🤣 No disrespect to Cody or Bonsey 😎🤘
@@reaper2478 hah, no worries
Thumbnail game strong bonesy
You set the standard pretty high. I’m just trying to keep up
Holy thank you for making a video on these do you know what sizes these are in Becuase I might get a pair if they are in my next size
I would love to get my hands on that all white no logo proto set Cody had.

Will true be making intermediate equipment?
As of right now I don’t think they do but I’d have to think they’d get into the intermediate/ youth market soon
@@BonesyTV if I ordered custom do u think that they could make a pad that is smaller than 32 inches but is still close to that.
Do you know what break Cory’s glove is?
Pretty sure it’s a 580
Pretty sure it’s a 580
@@BonesyTV thx
How in the world did True get so many NHL goalies into these pads ??
I think a lot of them wanted to continue using gear by Lefevre
First!
Got it marked. Vikeis was first!
The only thing you are looking at is over 6 months for a custom pad........

@@BonesyTV That first moment when your manager looks at you and says....."that's good enough we need to hit our turnaround quota..."
