I had my interview last week in Mumbai. Going for a PhD. I have a B1 visa. The officer scanned the barcode on my passport and said, Ohh, you have a B1. Did you visit New Haven? I told him I visited Louisiana to present a paper. Then, he asked me what the topic of my research was. And it was done. He said my visa had been approved.
I went to Mumbai for my interview, was asked just one question - Have you taken education loan? Interrupted halfway and sayed my visa is approved 🎉. I don't understand why Chennai and Hyderabad have so many tough questions and so many rejections...

Like if you are heading to computer science and its alliance fields questions related to python, java are being asked. And if you are going to Ml, AI they are asking about RNN, NN, CNN. Which are crazy questions. Even people who are heading to their majors in civil and mechanical they are being asked their domain related questions rather than the generic questions like which university and why usa etc. This time VO's even cameup with the challenging questions 😅
That is wild and so interesting. I think the number of students have increased so they want to make sure that you are truly going to study something you know
I also went to Hyderabad in visa interview on May 22nd, fortunately the interviewer I got asked me general questions, answered them properly and got approved❤

It was an unexpected question but I could answer it! Other guy on the next counter was asked about OOPs concepts.😂
Just gave my F1 visa Interview in India Hyderabad embassy got rejected within 5-10 seconds she only asked 1 question who is your sponsor I was answering her that officer it is my father she stopped me in midway and refused my visa 🥲 . I had my F1 inteview back in 2018. I was so nervous and scred at the same time. VO takes my passport and I-20 and returned my I-20 to me, scanned my passport and asked "Which state are you going to?". I said "New York". He goes "Your Visa's approved!!". It was a shocker for me.
Let me tell you, I'm studying here in the US and there are a lot of Students from Hyderabad. But when I see a few students, I really felt how these people cleared the Interview. I mean they are not even able to speak in English properly, forgot about fluency. So Honestly I feel that either there's a Luck factor, OR the Hyderabad Visa Consulate is randomly approving Visas OR If these people can do it, anyone can. 😄 Disclaimer: No offense to Hyderabadi people, just trying to figure out how Visa Consulate in Hyderabad is issuing visas. One side is the Interview of this guy in the video and the other side is the people whom I encountered with.
Even I have the same doubt as you bro. I am in a university which is flooded with people from Andra and telagana states. Being from Bangalore, where I frequently communicated in English. But here in Texas, I hear more of telugu than English. When I speak to my classmates about assignments or course work, majority of them struggle to even speak basic sentences. I feel I may forget my own English.
Just had my interview on 12th June. Idk what happened I went in prepared for a war and my visa interview was over in 5-10 secs the VO just asked me my course and Uni and just said approved enjoy ur stay. 💀Not even about finances lmao.

yep, these schools have a lot of political sway because they need to have international students in order to claim they are among the top tier in the world. They question Americans coming home more questions than international students at the airport.

I don’t think Public or Private status of the universities matter. If it’s a top 50 or even top 100 as per US news rankings then they don’t normally refuse Visa unless they find some issue with your finances etc.

Bhai agar ye questions puche, saare technical then it is a very good thing. Isme shock hone ki kya baat hai? In my interview (going for MS in AI at Northeastern directly after graduation and he asked why going there just after graduation), the indian guy asked me suddenly "You told me your undergrad covered basic AI topics, like what?" I told him "Decision tree, Naive Bayes, and not in depth topics like Computer Vision, Attention Unet" and then he interrupted me and said "Ok can you tell me what is K-Means clustering?" And i took a pause for 2 seconds and in my mind I was like "Yes, I got him now, now it is a cake walk" and I answered him in detail. Dude if you are getting shocked if the Visa interview asks technical questions related to your course and fumble or unable to answer, then maybe you don't deserve to get your Visa approve at that point, prepare well and apply again.!!
I was also was prepared for why us? Why this course etc but the visa officer started asking for why I received lower grades in one particular subject which I wasnt prepared for, and then started aksing question about phishing, cybersecurity etc. Like him I was also shocked to hear such question but unlike him I didnt give an satisfactory answer and the interview turned from qna to argument that "no officer that is the right answer 😂...." Not even kidding when I had to apologize to the officer later for all that.... Everyone in Nepal are afraid of this Visa Officer who is called "the badass Indian VO"

The vo can definitely ask you these questions to judge your authenticity. To make the decision that you are actually serious about your studies. It's rare but definitely happens every now and then

There is High rejections In Hyderabad by African lady Applicants who have Visa interview in Hyderabad try to avoid the African lady counter Ofcourse it's not possible that much because the security guard watch you and didn't allow to change but if you are in the counter just be confident and smile only ofcourse she will reject even though say thanks with a smile face And most of the people say it's not luck all you need to speak fluent in English bla bla bla ... Not at all guys it's completely luck based, depends on their mood and applicants list All the best just be confident guys ❤

All depends on your profile. If your university is very good they might just ask for finances, else they sometimes grill you

@@mahnoorkhalid6496 I got rejected actually you actually have really prepare so good for too many questions.they asked me about my family members(how many,what they do etc)which was out of the box for me because I prepared for other questions such as about university I am applying for or USA except these family oriented questions.So prepare yourself for all questions not just about university you are apply for or why USA or who is sponsoring you and best of luck 🤞

I happen to be someone who got their visa and will be going there this year. I had no problems during my interview. It wasn't long. No technical questions whatsoever.

Applicants who have Visa interview in Hyderabad try to avoid the African lady counter
Ofcourse it's not possible that much because the security guard watch you and didn't allow to change but if you are in the counter just be confident and smile only ofcourse she will reject even though say thanks with a smile face
And most of the people say it's not luck all you need to speak fluent in English bla bla bla ... Not at all guys it's completely luck based, depends on their mood and applicants list
