The facial clip he showed at beginning was meh (I own an S). The buildings and lighting is where its best...rendering scripted scenes sometimes had good facial models, but character models still suck when gaming..but either that's still Unreal 5 issue or developer issue. Maybe it's because I came from PC gaming originally, but the Unreal 5 demo didn't impress me this much compared to earlier reveal.
I used to look down on the Series S and consider it a waste of money when you could just get the Series X instead. Then I found the X-Screen attachment that turns it into a laptop. A laptop you can take anywhere with you. Now I realize the Series S is going to be my new baby. I'm going to buy the screen attachment and buy the Seagate expansion SSD so that I can play it anywhere anytime and have the next gen gaming experience. I still love the Series X and think it's beautiful, but it will just stay stationary in one spot next to the TV and will only get a HDD attachment which I can hide and never look at. I'm taking the Series S with me everywhere I go.
I don’t understand why people hate the series s so much. I was absolutely blown away by how good things look/run. Most people are just mad that they spent an arm and a leg on their console and people are getting comparable experience on the cheap one. Its about flexing, “I’m better because I bought the more expensive console”. These people need to grow up a little, gaming is gaming.
Because its XBox. And theres always been this 1-sided hate towards the brand since the botched messaging and launch of the XBox1. Hardcore PS fans and media that wanted XBox to finally fall had their chance once the blood was in the water with spreading FUD over the Kinect spying on folks. DRM. And so on. While SONY went for the kill with the "this is how ya share your games". And the "$399.99" price reveal. Since then for 8yrs this is how its been. Every little innovative thing they do. Gets flack and 2nd guesses. Every single consumer friendly choice gets the slanted eye and raised eyebrow. But to be fair theres a lot XBox's previous leadership did that brought this on. making the hate easy to pour on like butter. Much of it is indeed a bit too much. So the FUD and fake concern the S is getting wont stop for many more years. Even until the AND Fidelity FX features or Mictosofts's Velocity API finally gets used in these next games.
I am predominantly a PS5 gamer, picked up a series s the other day for Xbox exclusives and game pass. I am very impressed by this console. Halo and Forza 5 both run fantastic on it.
Just got it a few days ago and am loving it... bought it with a 2TB hard drive cause i knew that storage was the only thing it was lacking First game I downloaded was Forza Horizon 5 and I am loving it
Had a PS4 last generation, so happy I grabbed the Xbox series S... I always been a xbox guy but ex girlfriend ended up giving me the PS4, so I did that last generation. I enjoyed the PS4 I'm not gonna lie. But in my opinion xbox is about to have the best generation This time. With all the studios they bought I can't help but think of the games coming. Very happy with my decision and it feels good to be back with xbox. Only thing is the controller is lacking on Features, but feels great in my hands. Alright I'm just rambling everyone have a great day and enjoy a great game...
hi bro first i love your channel and i have ps5 and im thinking about series s and im not sure about that really it can do 1440 p? i love it but im worry about resolution i see videos they are saying in many games series s has 900 p not even 1080 p
I understand your concern, but there's a lot of haters on the series s out there. I have played countless hours on my series s on a 4k 60Hz TV with no issues. Here's a playlist that should help you with your buying decision: ruclips.net/p/PLB1T7SWpjt27N3QNZEybSavmyoDl6IZbl
i have another question bro i have pc with ryzen 5600g apu shold i buy series s or adding gpu for example 6600xt to my pc? if you can please help me 🙏🏻
People are mostly only buying this thing because it’s almost always available. $100 more you get a full blown PS5 digital, $200 more you get a Series X or Ps5 with a disc drive. If you have a 1080p tv sure, but if you got a 4K tv/monitor I wouldn’t consider the S
ps5 and xbox series x , not always go native 4k as many games are still 2k they are upscaled as well. there are a few games that go native 4k but not all.
The Xbox Series S is not a 4K Next-Gen machine, but it is absolutely a 1080p-1440p Next-Gen machine. 4K is a feature that is part of next gaming but it should not be used as the measure of what makes a game machine next gen. The Series S will do well this gen.
Picked up a series S because it was actually available. Figured i'd trade in for an X once its easily available. After 2 months with the s it does everything I need it to. It looks great on my 1440p monitor. Didn't think i'd be saying this but i'm good with the S. Not even considering an X now.
It's all the console snobs that doubt the serires s power I'm sticking with it the whole generation I use it as my main console just need external drive and you're good to go all I play the whole year is MLB and NHL so they look great on it if they make a better s I'll get it I actually prefer it over the look of the x and the x is way too expensive for what it offers
I'm 70 yrs old and on my bucket list was to get a game console for myself. Never had one and want to try one. Will the Series S work ??? Have new 2020 4K 65 inch TV with HDMI game console input. Thanks for your feedback.
The Xbox Series S doesn't have the hardware to push for true 4K gaming for most games. The new console instead targets 1440p (or QHD) at up to 120FPS. However, players with 4K TVs can still enjoy 4K media streaming, and the Xbox Series S will upscale games to 4K to fit the confines of your television.
It will do the job just fine, specially on a TV that big that you will be quite far away o play it, get it with game pass and you have tons of fun to play. Also congratulations for the idea of getting a console, age should never be a limitation to invest in entertainment.
This console was made for you. Gamepass is amazing. It’s like Netflix for games. You’re going to be very happy with it. Trust me. I’ve been playing games since I could hold a controller at three years old.
Don’t get me wrong , I love my series x (not S but X!) but the frame rate of matrix felt like in the mid 20s for me. Didn’t measure it. But felt like it. Soooo yeah. Probably the same on PlayStation . But just saying . I don’t think the matrix demo is a good example . It looks amazing, but runs suboptimal
I bought the S just due to availablity but know a few people that's got the X and tbh apart from the bigger memory (which an external drive can fix) and obviously the disc drive I can't tell the difference when it comes to the graphic output
Digital Foundry At the entry level, it's incredible to see Xbox Series S deliver this at all but it does so fairly effectively, albeit with some very chunky artefacts. Here, the reconstruction target is 1080p, but 1555x648 looks to be the max native rendering resolution in letterboxed content with some pixel counts significantly below 533p too so below 533p hmmm at 30 fps
I had the opportunity to touch this demo on my series s. It was cool to see lumen, it s immersing. And even though lumen wasn't as accurate as the standard raytracing, well it did pretty well . However this were we see why directml is much needed on series s. And that the series s is a next gen console, but unlike the series x or ps5 ,the series s is definitely relaying on the velocity architecture and directx12 ultimate. Since the raw raw power has it's limits. Sfs, vrst2, directml, direct storage are going to help the series s . But yeah, even if the demo wasn't as optimized as it could have been ,it runs on series s . And it show the power of nanite . Would the demo even run on series s with the same level of detail and density on screen and without nanite 🤔.. I don't think so .

Dude I love the series s soooooo much but let me make something clear in your misinformation, the series s is by far weaker than the x and ps5 and trust me, nobody cares about 120hz stuff, the majority of people don’t have 120hz in their home.
Misinformation??? I have both the series s and x. The series s is a less powerful console compared to the series x (it's also less expensive), but it's NOT far weaker.
the best console I have ever had and I started on the Ps2 and the Xbox 360, ps3 then Xbox one then ps4 then Xbox x.xbox series s beats them all and with game pass brilliant.
i’m running games like Destiny 2 and cod Vanguard at 120hz and 1080/1440p. that’s definitely next gen enough for me especially on a new nice curved gaming monitor. sure if i see an X in the wild i’d scoop it up but with games like star field coming for the series S i’m never going to miss out on anything i want to play. mofos literally steaming mad because i didn’t pay a grand for next gen lmao.
100% agree. I only picked up a series x as well because I was able to get it at retail and to showcase it on the channel. Otherwise, I'd be very content with my series s.
Best RUclipsr keep it up
Thank you 🙏

I like the "Hello~~"
Thank you 🙏
We still can't seem to get the eyes or face to move properly. But in a still image you can convince me its a photo
True.
Resolution is not next generation. Smoothness and fast loading time is. Series S got all of it.
Indeed it does 👍
So you'll be fine playing a game at 240p at 144hz+, realistic graphics, ray tracing, and a 1 second load time?
@@RoyHoy if you talking about 3ds/2ds yes I’m fine with using this console. Totally missing a point are you?
The visuals on matrix where awesome on the series s. It doesn't need to be ultra high res to see that.
@@stansmith7445 720p gaming is not acceptable in 2022 no matter what you say. 720P WAS PS3.

Yup, it's very portable. That x screen is an awesome accessory for it.

Yup, you get so much bang for your buck with the series s. I'm glad more people are waking up to that fact.
Pretentious fools is what those people are.

Make both the same price and suddenly the opinion would change(Yes it's an opinion not a fact)
You can say the same for PC players they are even more toxic.
Thank you, bro, for this nice video. I love my XBOX Series S.
You're welcome 👍

ps5 and xbox series x , not always go native 4k as many games are still 2k they are upscaled as well. there are a few games that go native 4k but not all.
The fact that this cost the same as a Switch makes this a no brainier

Handsome Gadgets I have a 4k 2.0 hdmi LCD tv would you recommend the x or the s
Great question. As long as you don't mind an all digital console, then I'd recommend the series s.
Xbox Series X.
But I prefer the PS5 Digital.
If you have a 4ktv get the x
This demo is pretty wild haha, surprised it didn’t make it to pc
Yeah, I wonder why 🤷♂️
Don't want it showing how wild really is compared

Play Xbox S more then my PS5
