The "XXXXXXX" car was the C7 Corvette Test Prototype that was given as a free DLC before the Pre-Production de-camoflagued vehicle was released on January 13th 2013.
I can confirm that some car are a nightmare to get in the used cars dealership, I completed most of the game (90%) before being able to buy the formula car which is mandatory to do an event. Also the endurance races are a joke because they give so little xp that you need to do them multiple times to be able to do the next one. Glad someone made a mod because this game is good outside of some small issues.
Exactly the problem i had when it came to used cars. I tried collecting all cars for both GT 5 and GT 6. For GT 5 i missed 10 cars at most and they were all used cars. There was a quick way to update the car list but i never got what i needed. GT 6 i missed 15-20 cars from what i remember but some of it was due to me getting tired of the game. GT 5 almost turned into a different game from launch compared to the last updates and the daily races gave a huge payout. 550 000cr for 5 laps around a city track with some challenge to it was a great way to earn money.
I was actually able to get this to work on my actual PS3 it took a bit of figuring out but I got it done, I got GT6 coming in today so I'll get to try the GT6 Spec-II mod finally.
@@ChampionBlueRacing Don't install too much at once, or the game might crash when you enter it (it installs inside the game as well). 6 fist updates are fine, after that it's recommended 2 at once, open game, install there, repeat.
I didn't know that you could run mods with GT5 considering it's emulated, quite interesting to see I must say. Also the tank car segments sent me lol. Another well done video, props to you and your editor for making this video.

that one is more difficult cause on emulator you need the latest version for it to work but only 1.05 is the most stable , maybe i'll jailbreak my ps3 at some point for it
@@DoVe_7 yeah definitely, the mod does suggest using the latest version of GT6. Although it's really worth it, somebody remade the Red Rock Valley track into the game. It's soooooo awesome!

Man I'm jealous. My RPCS3 desyncs really badly on GT5&6 and nothing I've tried has worked to get it stable. Would the debug options in the mod potentially help with the desync?
GT6 I can play, but have a lot of graphical glitches and runs 40fps (when got a new car, went to 3 fps) GT5 sometimes graphical glitch, and after 1h the sound turns off running in a ryzen 5 3600, 2x16gb 3200 with a rx5700xt

i spent a week trying to get the ps3 emulator and GT5 working because i wanted to go back and play this again but nothing i did could get it working I just black screened :( Tried going to the discord and official servers for help but nothing. I either was talked to in a condescending way or just flat refused to post my post even though i followed their format to a T.
Given that GT7 isnt that attractive and that GT5 and GT6 finally run acceptable on RPCS3 I can see these mods leading many new people into these older GT´s :)

@@DoVe_7 I did a race, 60 fps, it only crashed once (Probs because I went into different area while the shaders were compiling) I got my save with very good setups, but I lost the usb stick for it EDIT: Now my gran turismo 5 playtime is 24 hours, it only crashes when purchasing a car, it happens after every successful purchase

I always wanted to try this mod on a emulator but I'm worried PS3 games may be a lil too much for my 2020-spec PC in general. How would this compare to..say...games on a Nintendo Switch emulator if anyone here has used one? Since I played on Ryujinx myself and the performance is fine for my GPU levels.
You'll probably be fine if you can run switch emu. PS3 emu goes off of CPU mainly but anything in the past few years should be more than enough as long as it's not like an i3

It runs now but has performance issues.I figured out that the game runs smoother with update 1.13 instead of 2.11 but for the mastermod we need to be on 2.11 right?
Which Game Version do i need? When i buy the "original" from 2010 i cant update the game or can i? On PS3 you can choose how many updates u want to download, u can stop after version 1.08 for example or stop the updates after 1.03 depending on your preferences of modding / glitching. Is this also possible with RPCS3? Or should i get GT5 Academy Edition (in europe we dont got the XL Edition i think)
It is literally possible. The mod was made with physical PS3's in mind. The only detail to mind is that this mod only works up to a certain patch since the last few GT5 versions deleted some of the content that the mod readds.
need a better PC to run the emulator, my 1060 is crying out in bloody agony trying to get GT5 to run at a decent framerate. Mod's amazing though, being able to get content otherwise lost to time is probably one of the biggest draws of installing the mod.

Anything emulated can be modded to the same extent as consoles, possibly even more

Those "PS2" courses are actually the tracks found in GT PSP ported over

Irekej made an online mod that works on a real ps3. I recommend trying it out because I had a great time on GT5 and GT6 with some hey bros

The Complex String track was made for license tests, not for actual racing. I don't think GT3 has a single actual race on it.

I could never get RPCS3 working again after upgrading my PC, I resorted to just modding my PS3 for Master mod and Spec II for GT6

Updated the game to version 2.11 and installed the mod.
Now i have a blackscreen and game doesnt boot 🙄
