I’m glad you caught two NS Heritage Units in this video ; -> NS 1065 (Savannah & Atlanta) -> NS 1073 (Penn Central) Could me a hint for doing ALL Heritage the Veterans Units Complication video in the future?
A brilliant video that I have watched many times. Captures the locomotives superbly but, and here is the key point, it does not dwell excessively on mile after mile of trucks - sorry about the terminology I'm a Brit. Thanks a lot.
Well Mike, I am still watching this video regularly as I never get bored with it. Apart from the fact that the Norfolk Southern livery is my favourite - simple, elegant and distinctive - this video has got to rank for me as regards - remembering essentially I am a Brit and therefore a British steam afficionado - my No.1 American Railroad video. Top notch.
I know nothing about trains, but I live right next to a NFS rail road (literally right outside my door) in Findlay Ohio. (Grain train and I know it picks up freight from cooper tire) but these are the trains my 1 year old daughter knows and LOVES (she yells CHOO CHOO) when she hears them coming. Her grandpa actually works for NFS! this video helps calm her down when she’s having a bad day our train only goes by 1-3 times a day (not on weekends though) Thank you for the awesome shots!
YES NS! I personally love Northfolk southern and I have caught some heritage units like 8102,1073,1069,1067 And you caught the beautiful Savannah and Atlanta Good job! Hopefully you can catch as many as I do also I caught 1066,8105 and I think that’s it -HU1943
Great video!! NS is my all time favorite railroad because they have a good variety of locomotives and horns. Also I live only 5 miles from the NS mainline is Raleigh
Great video, some nice catches here. I wonder where that RS5T horn was coming from at 5:50. The train at 6:36 is a rare catch, not just because it has 1073 but because that's NS 68M, a ballast shuttle for Amtrak from the limestone quarry in Birdsboro, PA, running 95% of the time during the night. I didn't see any Amtrak cars on it though. The freight under the wires was also cool!
dont know if you guys cares but if you're stoned like me during the covid times you can stream all the latest movies and series on InstaFlixxer. I've been streaming with my gf for the last days :)
Nice video Mike. I live in a spot where I see BNSF and Union Pacific a lot but I’ve seen Norfolk Southern a few times. I love the crews on them. Anyway again nice video
Thank you, Mike. Hope I have seen all of those trains, Norfolk Southern, CSX, BNSF, rail and Canadian national and Canadian Pacific and CN and NS heritages and UP and con rail quality
Mr. Mike Armstrong, I would like to say thank you for uploading toy trains galore part 4. I can't wait for part 5 if you have a chance. And one more thing, where did you get the little engine that could toy train, I have never seen that before.
You're very welcome, Corey! There will definitely be a part 5. The Little Engine That Could was made by Whittle Shortline Railroad a few years ago. You see them once in a while on eBay.
Well, your wish is becoming a reality! At the end of September, I announced that going forward, I will be filming in 4K. I still have a few regular HD videos that will be coming out, but the 4K will slowly be phased in. The first full 4K video I did was the "Amtrak Cascades Siemens Charger" video I uploaded earlier in October.
Thank you for another awesome video, I could sit and watch trains all day... I have a question though, The bottom two headlights on the lead engine are sometimes alternating flashing back and forth and other times both are on and not flashing, is there a purpose for the difference??? Thanks again...
Thank you, Jim. The bottom lights are called "ditch lights" (or sometimes crossing lights). They are required by the Federal Railroad Administration. Some railroads choose to have these lights flash, alternating back and forth when the horn is sounded.

Got an Interview on the 25th. Hopefully I can make it past the bloody call. I have a job that has me work long hours and hard so I think I should be fine. All I can do is be professional and ask questions and be intrigued
There are Norfolk Southern trains in Delaware Ohio, where I live, Mike. There are approximately 40 trains each day. I've heard of Peck Park in Galesburg, IL, where you can see Amtrak's Illinois Zephyr and Carl Sandburg with those cool Amtrak Midwest SC-44's, Amtrak's California Zephyr, BNSF, and more. I'm glad you got to see some heritage units, Mike. Speaking of railfan parks, you should railfan in Northwest Ohio, because then you can see some Norfolk Southern trains running in Bryan, as well as Lake Shore Limited, and Amtrak's Capitol Limited with it's bi-level Superliners. Amtrak Lake Shore Limited and the California Zephyr you just mentioned are the trains I took out west. Did you know that Amtrak Cascades F59 #470 had a King Tut paint scheme? It's being used on Amtrak's Piedmont Service, and the new SC-44's should get a very special paint scheme just like it. Also, could you make an Amtrak Capitol Corridor and San Joaquin train compilation, ft. Jack London Square, Corcoran CA, Santa Clara station, Bakersfield, and others? I remember your video on BNSF and Amtrak trains in the San Joaquin Valley.
YES NORFOLK SOUTHERN TRAINS!!!
:D
Chill out my guy
My bad dude lol
Norfolk Southern trains are the best freight railroad in the country
@@CoasterFan2105BRO THAT HORN ON THE FIRST NS TRAIN IS THE SAME LIKE IN BEAMNG!

Norfolk Southern has been a favorite rail line to me ever since I was a kid
Nice, I caught one on a Union Pacific in Montebello!

Thank you, Mike. I have seen all of those trains before southern CSX BNSF, Union Pacific and CN and Canadian Pacific and con rail.
I love watching trains and I work at a railroad museum and loved learning about trains while I worked
