    Geez these came out well when you unwrapped them! The 5th one to the side was my favourite in all its stages. It started off so neatly and then when you came back to it and stirred it up all crazy, but then it suddenly took the form of a perfectly painted flower. The petals look stunning! Watching line work in this medium is so intoxicating. When I speak to my friend O'niel this week, I must send him a link to your channel. He is reasonably new to art and painting. He has been going towards the abstract sorta, but I reckon he will really love your work! I don't think he knows about this sort of technique. great work, perfect touch again! :)

    These blooms are STUNNING! WOWWW. I have never seen such depth in resin bloom (& I have seen many hundreds)! I thought you were going to ruin the flowers when you swirled the inks so much, but no!
    Is it possible that on the first one you demolded (with the white blob), that the resin was not warm enough (somewhere around 40C), and it allowed the white sinker to fall too fast (instead of blooming) through the alcohol inks? That can definitely happen when the resin has not warmed enough and become thicker and more resistant to the heavier white paste. But, you probably know this better than I do!
    Love this beautiful set. ❤😊

    Thank you so much for replying. I was actually referring to the Alcohol inks in particular. I know that resin will discolor over a long period but some people say that the alcohol ink colours fade in a matter of weeks if not stored in a dark place. Did you find this to be true?

    • @LolaArt1111
      @LolaArt1111  Год назад +1

      i used Pinata inks (links to purchase them below in the description), they are high quality inks. I made these coasters over a year ago and they are fresh and vibrant in color still. I just sold them one year since I made them and the buyer is extremely happy. So use those Pinata inks or any other high quality products. Mica powders they do become dull. :)

    I love your work! Just a question. Do you sell your alcohol ink and resin products to the public and are you not worried about the fact that it looses colour after a couple of weeks? Or how do you avoid it? I would love to do large painting but are very scared about customers returning my product due to this fact. Would love a reply from you thanks

    • @LolaArt1111
      @LolaArt1111  Год назад

      HI, Marietjie: thank you for your question. It is true that resin looses color with time. When I sell my products I have a disclaimer. But if I have a large painting project I would incorporate colors that will mute the discoloration. For example, less clear resin and more orange and red hues or indigo and so on. Clear resin will yellow with time. Also keep the art work away from sun, because it will expedite the discoloration. I hope this helps.

    • @LolaArt1111
      @LolaArt1111  9 месяцев назад

      Hi: I think I explain it in the video but in case I didnt here is how: to measure how much resin you will need I pour water into the mold to fill it up then pour that amount into the cup and weight it. Then multiply that amount by number of coasters in your project. Its that easy! Never lose a drop of resin. Hope this helps. You will pipette to pour it back into the cup so you dont spill water.

      Hi, Jennifer: first I pour clear, right after I squeeze (no wait time) drops of inks. But before drawing petals with white I wait 15 min for white to start hardening. I mix white and clear resin and let it sit for 15 min. If its too liquid it wont create perfect delineation of petals and convey the 3 D depth. Hope this helps. Also i use high viscosity (thick resin). I found it gives me more substance as opposed to low viscosity. But it has a short working time only 20 min.

      @@EnaAggarwal important tips: make sure after each stroke of white petal you wipe the end of toothpick. Also wait 15 min or until white mixture begins to become jelly (not runny) to create petals. When you paint petals just skim the surface, dont press to much. Watch the video again and pause if you need to. Those steps are very important in creating depth, 3d petals. Good luck! :)

      @@LolaArt1111and the resin should be also thick like jelly I saw in some videos they kept resin until room temperature became 34 degree Celsius and then they poured resin. So do we also need to keep resin lying until it become thick as per temperature 34 degree Celsius? Pls tell.

      @@EnaAggarwal I use total boat resin and working time for this resin is very short 20 min so I have to act fast. For white I wait 15 min until it’s not runny. Until it’s jelly like. If it’s low viscosity resin then you might want to wit longer. My resin is thick in itself. I Dont measure temperature as I am in Florida and it’s always warm. If you are up north then you might want to warm up the resin before using it. Lmk in what part of the word you are at?
