I'm so glad I stumbled on your channel. Your a God sent. Your videos are simple . It makes complex and jumbled information so clear and I understand your teaching style. I have a huge fear of math it makes me cry and quit .
I was already backing out LOL.. I have two prereqs required for the school I want to get in. College Algebra and Statistic. I am already suffering the algebra.. I'm just being honest, math is not my FORTE, I'll honest suffer in A&P and will do my best than math, thats who much I'm not good in math. I have two math coming up, my first math is about to be done, and to be honest, w/o my friend teaching me I will surely fail!! And because of this math I have right now, I'm already backing out. I know, I know. I love Theory classes, and something that doesnt involve like math though. But thank you for clearing this one and I was about to ask you haha. So it means that after I survive the Statistic and College Algebra, the only math I'll be seeing is like, conversion of ml to g? Like u said, it may sound like hard but once I get used to it, I'll be fine. I tried one time to answer NCLEX question style and I did actually got the right answer. I just research the conversion and stuff. I just really hate math :( Thats my weakness.
+chelzhi Math is definitely not my thing either! I hated taking Algebra & Statistics too. The great thing about nursing school is that the only math you deal with is dosage and calculations which is adding, subtracting, multiplying, and dividing...which is what you pointed out. I have some videos on how to solve dosage and calculation questions and free practice questions if you ever want to practice. I understand the math thing though...I was the same :) Here are the Dosage & Calculation videos: ruclips.net/p/PLQrdx7rRsKfUYdl0TZQ0Tc2-hLlXlHNXq Quizzes are here: www.registerednursern.com/nursing-student-quizzes-tests/ ...if you scroll down you will see the section for them called Dosage & Calculation quizzes I hope you have a great Thanksgiving! -Sarah
I took statistics and algebra and I got an A in both. It's not as bad as you think. Just ask the professor or other classmates over and over until you get it, find study buddies or go to the tutoring center of your school that should help. Did you complete your pre-reqs and did you get into the program?
+Cari Baez It really depends on the situation. If the patient didn't suffer any harm or death usually the nurse will have to develop an action plan to prevent this from happening in the future (take some medication class to refresh their knowledge etc). However, if the patient was harmed or died there would probably be a lawsuit and the nurse may be terminated from their job, but that is worst case scenario. -Sarah
I wanted to become a nurse but u have a learning disability. (I can’t even read a clock. My Lear I got disability is only with math) I felt so stupid I just quit nursing school
Full Tilt Boogie that’s what I tell myself. I’m horrible at math but that’s ok...I’ll learn it, study it. Will it be hard, yes because I hate math but I need to dose properly. That’s no joke.
