OMGGG this comment has me dying 😂 lol it’s bc I just figure that everyone already knows lmao but thanks so much babe, I will definitely have to make a video on how I studied for it💕
This has been my dream forever. I decided to be a mom very young, today I’m 41 years old, have 4 beautiful children and a husband. I work full time. God has helped me to get to this point, I been accepted to the program starting on Fall, I don’t know how I’m going to do this. English is my second language and the writing is a problem for me. But I’m not going to backup, I’m going to keep trying as far God help me. Good luck to everyone. 🙏🏼
Hello Candy, me too, I’m 42 and I have my two kids and I’m also starting in the fall , I’m from Jalisco and yes as English being our second language it can be challenging but you know what, we at least made the decision to succeed and I know where going to be awesome, we got this!!! 🤗😊😊
I'm not even in nursing school, but I just love you, your energy, and your study tips in general! I am a medical laboratory science student and I think your tips have been beneficial to me so far. Thank you Darian! Congratulation on completing nursing school!
Thank you for this!! I just got accepted into the ADN program and I am sooo scared! I feel like I’m not smart enough and I might not get through it being a Latina and the first to enter a EN program in my family is so intimidating to think I don’t have it in me 💔 you are an inspiration!
Hi! I have been in your shoes before as well and I just finished my first semester at my local ADN program. There are times where you don’t feel like you’re enough but, if you think about it you’ve made it this far and you have it in you to finish. Make sure to practice self care during nursing school, it makes all the difference. From one Latina to another, YOU CAN DO THIS.
Just have to believe in yourself and have the drive to. Set yourself up for success by studying and also looking at the whole picture as much as possible. Nursing school is more nerve wrecking than it really should be. Just be honest and know your weaknesses, study, and keep at it. You got this!
I am a Latina too and in a very similar situation... Imposter syndrome is such a real thing but trust me.. You belong there and don't let anyone tell you different! Sometimes you gtta cry, scream and then put some Bad Bunny (or whoever you like)on get stuff done! You got this!! Good luck in your journey!!
I LITERALLY LOVE EVERYONES RESPONSE TO YOUR COMMENT BC ITS SOOOOOOO TRUE! Believe in yourself bc YOU CAN DO aIt! Girl I STRUGGLED in school bc but I pushed thorough bc the time is going to go by NO MATTER what you do, so do something that you love-even if that means sacrificing your time to study and grind 👏🏽 Goodluck mamas
Hello!! I’m a Latina too, I’m 42 years old , I have a daughter of 25, and a 20 year old son and a grandson from my daughter, my son is going to our community college and will transfer to the University to be a mechanical engineer, and I made the decision to go to our community college to do the ADN program I’m so excited, yes a little nervous but I know I can do it, yes it will get hard at times but I’m going to give it my 200 % because I want to encourage my daughter on going back to school, and for my nephews and of course for myself!!! Yay 😁 so for anybody out there that’s doubting themselves, just do it!!! Look at me 42!! Come on, if I can so can you, just have faith 🙏♥️♥️♥️
You have such a positive and upbeat personality, I love it! 🩷🩷 great video! Thank you for posting 💕I’ll definitely be reviewing everything you suggested 💕
I was actually watching your Q and A video and saw you uploaded this video! This is perfect timing, I just got accepted to nursing school so definitely will be using all your tips!!
I’m halfway through my program! I was wondering if you could make a video about making a new resume, interview tips, and possibly what we should expect as a starting wage as a new nurse/ how to negotiate your wage as a new nurse?Love your videos!
YOURE SOOOOO CLOSE!!!! Heck yea girly, I’m sooo proud of you 👏🏽😭 but all of these video ideas are AMAZING!l expect I haven’t perfected any on my own mainly because I haven’t gotten a job as an RN yet, but when I do I got you bby💓👏🏽
I'm so glad I decided to watch this video. I will definitely use these tips! P.S. Nurse in the Making has a book that's like all of the sections of nursing school into one study guide. Mother/Baby, Peds, med/surg, etc.
Thank you Darian for making this video to help us future nurses. Thank you for your generosity to share your knowledge and experience while being a nursing student! I will be starting my program also in July 2022 so this lessens my anxiety and stress. Have a beautiful day and God bless
These are amazing tips, girl! I sort of thought the same way you did in school, just condense it down to the pertinent info that I needed to know... wouldn't sweat the small stuff! I'm also so jealous that you've already taken your NCLEX lol! CA takes forever, even if you apply ahead of time. I'm on week 9 of waiting for my ATT, girl! I'm dying over here 🤣🤣 Congratulations, RN! You deserve it 😊💕
YESSS!!! Condensing all the info was a LIFE saver! And sheshh, I would literally CRY, why is it taking them so long?😭 is there only limited places to test? But thanks so much for the support! I need to start job hunting but tbh I wanna start my small business before I start working as an RN, so I’m in no rush to find a job rn 🥲😭
@@DarianHeaven That's honestly such a good plan! I have friends in my cohort that don't want to rush into a job right now, and I think that's perfectly acceptable 😊 we just went through A LOT lol, we need a break! 🤣 Honestly, who knows girl lol! I'm hoping to take it soon. Not too sure how long I can be studying and waiting around 😓
This is like my second video of yours I watched and this video got my sub. I haven’t been accepted yet but I want to get ahead of the game because I’m only doing this ONE TIME. I have been running a rat race trying to find past syllabi and looking up what I can. This gives me a tangible start cause I was pulling stuff out the air! You are the goat for this. Other tips are like self care, know your learning style, xyz and while those are great tips, this one video gave a real damn answer! Thank you Darian!
Thank you so much for this video it came just at the right time!! :) I got accepted accepted to my BSN nursing program and I start this fall :) I’m working on my last pre req. chemistry this summer it’s rough lol 😂
You’re awesome!!!! This helps!!! I’m going to apply in CEP route beginning of next year but I’m really nervous just because I’m a slower reader. I think my confident of my reading is where I loose confident in myself of going to nursing school. I haven’t reviewed any anatomy and physiology for like 5 years but I still remember some of them but I don’t know how much do I need to know before I start my Nursing school. I do have a Bachelor in Health and Wellness. Can you let me know How much A&P do I need to know and what do you suggest with my reading?
I dropped out of jr college because my grades were so low. I had 0.67 GPA (which is practically some Ds and mostly Fs. Never got high than a C, and that only happened once.) Never had a job and I'm 46 years old
Hi Darian, my name is Jessica Walker, and I took counseling 12 for the Fall semester of 2021in August 30, 2021, and my final grade I got a B, and I took speech class in the winter semester of January 4, 2022, to February 13, 2022, and now I'm taking 1 class in the spring semester February 14, 2022, to June 13, 2022, that class is Fundamentals of biology I'm a nursing student.
Hey girl 💕 thank you so much for the great tips & recommendations. I’m starting nursing school in 2 weeks and I was wondering if that NCLEX RN textbook can be used for LPN program as well?
I have sat for Nclex for the 4th time now and still failed, i guess licence isn't meant for people like me😭 Nclex exams won't bother you or be a problem if you work with someone like Mrs Jennifer
I used some Uworld, some Remar, and read a lqqil saunders. I did 3 nurse achieve examsirst time last year at but the second time was f easy, all thanks to my aunt who introduced me to Mrs Josephine am really grateful
Well I've taken the exams for the second time now and still didn't succeed, i wonder how those who succeeded did it now happy I did it now true the help of mrs Jennifer
Nclex exam won't be a problem if you work with someone like Mrs Josephine....she's God sent, she saved me form talking the test for the 6th time You can contact her for guidance 1_7_1_9_4_0_2_8_8_4_5
I’m just scared because by the time I graduate the NCLEX is changing🥲 I’m not sure how that changes. Will those purchased notes still help me? I know my school is changing the format of our tests due to the changes in NCLEX. Btw July 6 is my birthday 🎉 Congratulations on passing! I follow you on Instagram and you inspire me so much
For anyone else trying to cram before nursing school, she said:
1. Acid Base Balances
2. Fluid & Electrolyte Imbalance (hypo+hypertonic)
3. Vital Signs & Lab Values
THANK YOU!!!
This video is my holy bible as an incoming student nurse 🥺
thank you!
Thank you so much
What else are you using Emily? Do you have ig?
I want to be a nurse if God's will 🙏

Hey! They actually also have a specific book geared towards LPNs. It's the Saunders NCLEX PN :)
Thank you beautiful 😘 What info for you decide to put on the one page? 😅
I would add maternity/neonate because it’s a beast in nursing school!!! Our class average was a 40% 😳
