@heatherhirschmd, Dr, would you consider doing a video on HRT for women who are considering HRT when in menopause, but those who have numerous fibroids and who had an embolization procedure? Thank you in advance.

Here’s one question I would’ve loved to have answered in this video: for the purposes of preventing the three big diseases (I.e. osteoporosis, heart attack, Alzheimer’s) DURING PERIMENOPAUSE should the estrogen found in birth control be used, or the estrogen found in HRT? I understand that the dosages are different, so I’m strictly asking about the type of estrogen. Is it true that birth control does not prevent the three diseases as well as HRT does because they are different estrogens (estradiol and estriol versus ethinyl estradiol)? Thank you.

Can you do a video discussing testosterone as part of HRT. You’ve discussed estrogen and progesterone, but not testosterone. And I know that testosterone is also prescribed and my Dr has prescribed it along with estrogen and progesterone and I would like to be educated on it and it’s role in HRT.

Can you please talk about cyclical HRT vs Continuous during Perimenopause? Are the hormones used in Perimenopause boosting your body's existing hormones or do they signal to your body to stop producing your own?

Just started HRT estrogen patch and oral progesterone 🎉 for insomnia… 🤷‍♀️ Trialing, after everything else was ruled out. Age 44 (insomnia started at age 39-40) Estrogen patch 0.025mcg Prog 100 micronized oral daily. Normal cycles. Just started 2 weeks ago let’s see if it helps with my sleep. 😴

Please advise on providers in Canada in telemedicine that are willing to prescribe estrogen and progesterone!! I am beyond losing my mind I have every single symptom of peri but because I still have periods no doctor will prescribe me anything more than progesterone. My life feels like it’s over being told this over and over again. I can’t sleep and just the progesterone doesn’t make a dent for me. The minute I say I still have periods they won’t give me estrogen and progesterone together, only progesterone. What are you thoughts on this?! I’m even having hot flashes and I am only 40. I really need someone’s help I wish you were in Canada 🇨🇦

Hey! Where are you? After waiting months and months for a menopause program in Alberta, I found a trained pharmacist. I started getting symptoms at 35, BCP at 36 and now I have officially started HRT at 37. I have also been given the name of a clinic in Ontario.

I am perimenopausal at 49 and I live in Alberta. My doctor wasn't sure at first about HRT for me but I have so many menopause symptoms I needed relief. She finally agreed to consult with a gynecologist on my behalf because it is currently almost a 2 year wait to see one. They decided I could take Duavive. I have been on it for a week and I already have relief. Keep trying. Don't give up. You know your body the best, I find doctors just need some guidance.

So interesting thank you. I was diagnosed as being estrogen dominant and wonder if that excludes me from taking HRT because doing so will create excess estrogen. What are your thoughts? Secondly, do you see patients who are not US-based?

Almost 41, saw a new gyno for all symptoms perimenopause. She said, I'm too young to start HRT...... TOO YOUNG??? Is this TRUE???
She did say I could start testerone pellets, I go next Monday. Oh and my blood pressure is too high for birth control.🙄
***Is it safe just to have testosterone pellets and estradiol cream applied at entrance????
I had both my tubes removed at 33 for birth control, they were healthy. 3 yrs later everything changed and has only gotten worse. 😢
Thank you for making videos, you are wonderful!!!❤ Reading your book 📖 ❤😊

Hi! Thank you for your content. I'm 39 and my periods started to swing at 37. My FSH is high and my estradiol levels started to plum. Last month my body didn't produce any ovule, previously my periods cycle was shorter and now it's longer than normal (but I haven't had amenorrhea). My bones are OK. Would you say I am on early perimenopausa or on primary ovarian insufficiency? How to know? Should I start an hrt at 39? Best

    • @honorinedelaveline
      @honorinedelaveline 4 месяца назад

My doctor suggested to start an hrt (oral pill, diu, etc.) but I wanted to know a bit more about perimenopausa before taking any decision.
I also add that I've been through tough months at work and my cortisol is high.

I started .5 estradiol patch and 100 mg Micronized progesterone about 5 weeks ago. I am 45 and was still having very regular periods and ovulation. It's been amazing for my insomnia, anxiety, hear palpitations, hair falling out, joint pain. Everything is so much better, i can hardly believe it! But i have not ovulated since starting. Am on day 30 with no ovulation in sight. Is this normal when starting?

Thank you so much. Your channel is what encouraged me to persist after two separate providers completely invalidated my experience and denied HRT. Question: I am 53, perimenopausal, and have a patch and mirena iud - going on about a year. I missed my first period, but am still having very light periods most months. How will I know when I am in menopause if the iud will lessen/stop the bleeding? Or does that even matter? I cannot tolerate oral progestin because it makes me sleepy all day even if I take it at bedtime. Thanks!

The biggest hurtle is finding a doctor who is willing to prescribe MHT. I've approached my GP, Endo, and Gyno, and all they do is talk negatively and use scare tactics, and drop the subject as quickly as possible.
What's a woman to do when so many doctors refuse it.

I am 49, still having periods, but I am experiencing low to no libido, brainfog, dry eyes, and I am very thin, prone to osteopenia. I have just been finally prescribed cyclic HRT (I really had to fight for it, doctor did not want to!!) , but am a little bit confused about it: I got Divigel+ Provera. Isn't Provera a little controversial? Does anyone have any experience? Thinking about pushing for Utrogestan or Mirena coil instead.... any thoughts?

What's the reason behind not being able to have hrt when on combined pill ? Is it because combined pill contain hormones too ?

The combined pill contains much higher levels of synthetic hormones, so yeah, adding HRT would be way too much!
